It is important to understand, the underlining causes of our feelings, it is important to express our feelings to others, expressing our feelings in intelligent ways, opens the lines of communication, communication is important in all relationships. We need to be able to speak openly and honestly, misunderstandings occur where there is a break down in communication. Here are some practical tips to express your feelings.
Often i felt there was nothing i could say or do to make people understand the depth of how i feel. Sometimes we find it difficult to word our feelings. We may feel uncomfortable expressing our feelings to others, we do not even understand the way we feel ourselves here are some practical tips to help you express your feelings
1) Drawing your feelings
Use shapes colors and images to reflect how you feel, our minds have different ways of perceiving this colors and shapes hold different meaning for all of us
2) Paint your feelings
Throw paint on canvas, use different brush strokes to create different shapes and textures, be free and let the painting speak your feelings.
3) Dance your feelings
Use your body movement,rhythm and music to express how you feel.
4) Sing your feelings
Write a song, sing song improvise different sounds and melodies that reflect your current state of mind
5) Excercise
If you are feeling frustrated let the frustration out as you run as fast as you can on the treadmill.
Feeling angry, feel the anger as you lift heavy weights.
If you feel positive and excited let that energy out as you dance to zumba, exercise is a good way to release deep or intense emotions.
