Apologies
When we got home I handed Garroth his Letterman back and walked upstairs to the bathroom and washed my face and tossed the beanie and flannel into the hamper and walked into my shared room. "How'd it go?" Zane asked from our computer.
"Mph!" I sighed, falling onto the bottom bunk.
"What does that mean?" He grumbled turning around.
"Fabulous, everyone was like, drunk there were these kids in the kitchen who tried to get me to join their gang or whatever-"
"The Shadow Knights!?" Zane exclaimed excitedly. I looked up at him.
"I don't know I just know they were... jerks. I punched one of them. Dad would be proud," I rolled my eyes. I stood up and walked over to my dresser and pulled out a pair of shorts and switched those out for the ripped jeans I was wearing and left the tank top on and flopped back down on the bed. "I also met a guy-"
"What!?" Zane's eye widened and he leaned so far forward in his chair that he fell.
"Yeah he was kinda stupid, and uh... insensitive. Go figure. That's how most teen boys are."
"Am I insensitive!?" Zane snapped.
"Eh," I shrugged and pulled a blanket over me. "I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight baby Zane."
"I'm not a baby," he grumbled.
The next morning I woke up and changed into my uniform and pulled my hair out of my face and slipped on my black flats then beat Zane awake with a pillow, then Garroth and Vylad.
I walked downstairs and saw mommy making breakfast. "Morning!" She chirped. I smiled and sat down at the counter and yawned.
"Morning mom."
"How was the party?"
"Eh, not going to another one for at least... forever." I shrugged. She sighed and put a plate of chocolate chip pancakes in front of me.
"Well whatever you want." She smiled. I nodded and picked at the pancakes a little and decided I wasn't hungry then packed my bag for school. I waited for Garroth and Zane to finish their breakfast.
When they finished packing their bags I quickly gave Vyald and mom a hug before running out the door with the boys. "So what did happen last night?" Zane asked, running his fingers through his hair.
"Whatever happened at the party should just stay there." I closed my eyes shaking my head.
The majority of the walk from then on was silent and until we were about a block from school.
"(Y/N)!" Garroth, Zane and I all turned to see Laurance running towards us.
"Keep walking!" I snapped, grabbing them both by the arm and pulling them with me, running as fast as I could. Yet Laurance still caught up with us and grabbed my shoulder.
"Hey! Why'd you run?" He asked. I sighed and shooed the others away. They both tried to protest, but I gave them the 'if you try I'll snap your neck' look and they ran off. I faced Laurance.
"What do you want?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"I... I wanted to apologize-"
"For?"
"Geez, you could have let me finish!" He exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and raised my eyebrows. "I'm sorry for being a total jerk at the party last night."
I shook my head, no.
"What!? What do you want me to say!?" He complained. "Besides you still owe me a date."
"Ug!" I rolled my eyes and started to walk, but he just followed.
"I'd like to take you to a movie tonight if you don't mind."
"Sure, as long as you don't try anything!" I exclaimed and stormed off to my homeroom.
"You what!?" Garroth exclaimed as we walked out of school.
"I'm going on a date with your best friend, deal with it," I replied.
"Ug, you're too much work," Zane complained.
"Speak for yourself you're the one who spends an hour adjusting that silly mask of yours just so no one can see your freckles!"
"Whatever," Zane rolled his eyes.
"Wait Zane has freckles?" Garroth asked.
"That's right you wouldn't know." I rolled my eyes.
"So what are you guys doing on this date?" Zane asked, changing the subject.
"Well he said he wanted to take me to a movie," I shrugged.
"No!" Garroth exclaimed.
"Garroth do you remember our talk the other day that was yesterday?" I asked staring at him.
"Right, you're not a child." He nodded. I smiled.
"Thank you and even if I was a child, I'd keep an eye on Vylad he's quite the lady killer," I joked.
"Well we all know where he gets it from," Garroth smirked.
"Mommy."
"Dad."
"Me."
We all said at the same time. I said mom, Zane said dad and Garroth said... me. I stared at Garroth and Zane.
"The only reason girls like his is because he has a heart of gold just like mommy, admit it-"
"Fine!" They sighed. I smiled as we walked up to our house and threw the door open. Mom was in the kitchen baking cake. I dropped my bag and ran over to her.
"Mommy!" I exclaimed.
"Yes (Y/N)?" She asked looking up.
"I've got a date!"
"Oh I knew you'd be the child to pull through!" She smiled, hugging me.
"Hey!" Garroth and Zane exclaimed. I laughed and mom pulled me upstairs, abandoning the cake.
"So since it's your first date I'm going to help you get ready, Zu Zu's good, but he's not a professional." She smiled.
I nodded as she thought. She pulled a black long sleeve shirt that had dropped off my shoulders and ripped jeans and pulled my hair into a tight pony tail/left down and she applied light make up to my face. I slipped on Zane's black converse and spun around.
"You look great (Y/N)!" Mom smiled. She pulled out her phone and took a picture.
"Can I come in my room now?" Zane complained for the door.
"I guess!" I sighed. The doorbell rang and I grabbed my purse and a black beanie and ran downstairs I swung the door open and slammed it closed. "MOM!" I screamed.
