A string of hope, coming out from something long forgotten
Yey, Sa did not kill you.
"You are simply not worth my time."
But you love her more, and are willing to do anything for her, but first, you still have to do several things, to know her better.
So what else would be better than to cook for her? After all, you have some decent cooking skills. But where would you get the ingredients from? Hahaha, silly, you are in the Sea of Quanta! And where there is sea, there ought to be fishes!
So you got outside of her domain and decided to catch some fish.
[Multiple Leviathan lifeforms detected, are you certain whatever you are doing is worth it???]
"Yes... FOR SA!!!!!!"
Legends said you died heroically that day.
The end.
Sike, you caught some decent weird world eating fishes and some stoves and kitchen appliances, perfect.
Just as Sa was observing for potential bubble worlds to feast on... She noticed something unusual that snapped her out of her concentration, someone is cooking?
She can't tell when was the last time she caught the scent of food, things hadn't been the same when the Abyss invaded her homeworld, Purusha, plus the destruction at the hands of the Cocoon, and the solitude of her in the Sea...
Out of curiosity, for the first time ever, Sa turned her head around, trying to locate where the smell was coming from.
Only to see that you are trying to extinguish a flame on the stove.
"Aw f#ck it the stove has some Imaginary Juice!! It's too strong!!!"
Goku : Hey I heard it's strong!
Cut
"Aw f#ck it the stove has some Imaginary Juice!! It's too strong!!!"
Sa's eyes observed not only you, but also the small kitchen you have set up around you, using the space in her domain... She can barely recognize a few things, such as the stove, the plates, the knives,... Some, she can remember faintly, but those have been long forgotten...
Soon, when the flame was finally put out, you sighed in relief, but you noticed the pressure on your existence again, Sa has casted her gaze at you.
"Oh... Uhm..."
You turned around, awkwardly, picked up the two dishes you managed to cook, with some silverware, and walked up to her.
"I cooked some dishes for you, Sa." - You smiled to her.
"..."
She looked unamused as ever.
"Why?"
She asked.
"Well... I haven't seen you eat anything yet so I think you might be hungry or something? Well whatever you are doing I am sure you can't do it well with an empty stomach right heh?" - You said, as you walked up closer to her, with the dishes in your hands. "Soo... Figured that I might do something for you."
"..."
It could be just your imagination, but there seem to be a shift in her expression, a hint of surprise, maybe?
"I do not need to sustain this body using the... Normal methods." - She said, her tone still as cold as ever.
"Oh." - You felt disappointed, all that effort for her to turn it down.
"..." - She still looked at you. "However... It has been a long time, I know the feeling of starvation, it would be no good if the food goes to waste."
You looked up at her, your eyes lit up with hope this time. Sa extended her hand, and from the ground, a cube rose, as a substitute for a table.
You placed the dishes there, with the silverwares to her side placed neatly, and then backed off, not knowing what else to do than to look at her, admiring her beauty.
She turned herself over to the cube, picked up the fork and the knife, gently cut the serving of fish to smaller portions and ate it.
She chewed them slowly, while staring at the dishes on the cube, as if contemplating something.
"..."
"..."
Her expressions are still unreadable. You are not sure if the food is up to her liking or not, at some point, thoughts of disapproval flew through your mind.
"This is..."
She spoke. You focused your mind to hear what she had to say.
"Not half bad."
As it would mean it is below average, but since she spoke it out for you, you couldn't help but to take it as a compliment, yet not as a complaint, but a suggestion for improvement.
But what surprises you is how she takes another bite. That was the best result you have gotten, you smiled and then turned away, going to clean up the mess you have made earlier.
"Well then, please enjoy it all, and I will clean the dirty dishes too." - You said happily as you skipped to the small kitchen.
"..."
Meanwhile, it wasn't the truth that she told you. The food was perfect, not only because she has long forgotten what is a good meal and a bad meal, but also because aside from the ingredients, and the flavors she tasted in the food, there is something else, giving it its own unique feature, love. The affections you have poured into making this dish was something she could not fully taste in one bite, she has never had this type of food before.
She smiled slightly as she continued to eat.
