"How could you not tell me about this right away?!" Law yelled as he paced the deck.

"How was I suppose to?!" (Y/N) shouted back.

"Your father is one of the most dangerous men out there! It might have been worth a mention!"

"I know Law!... I know." she trailed off, now at a loss for words.

He sighed and walked over to her before gently pecking her lips.

"So you work for him now?" he asked with a dangerous frown on his face.

"Tch. I don't work for anyone. I just overview his business and kind of, sabotage whatever endangers innocent people."

"(Y/N) that's dangerous! If he ever found out–"

"I know. But what do you want me to do?! He's my father and he's not completely evil. Law, he's the only family I have left. You've got to trust me, please." she pleaded as she cupped his face and stared into his eyes.

"How am I suppose to do that? We are going for him after Doflamingo. What do you expect from me?!" he shouted, his voice strained with hurt.

"All I need is a head start once we reach Dressrosa. We will meet in Zou and I will share the information I've got with you. "

"Why do you need a head start?" he glared.

"To prepare things. Law if you guys go up against him right now there is a small chance that any of you will come out of this alive. I can't lose you Law... I beg you." she said while clutching his shirt.

"Please don't make me go through that." she said, her voice shaking as tears fell down her cheeks. "Please." she whispered before burying her face in his neck.

He sighed and put his arms around her waist before resting his chin on her head.

"You made me go through that."

"I'm not as strong as you. I won't survive if I lose you for real." she smiled sadly and cupped his face before bringing it down to kiss him. His hold on her tightened. 

He was not going to lose her again.

(Y/N) and Law met up in her room before the Straw-hats were leaving.

"I guess this is it then." she said while giving him a sad smile.

"I guess it is." he said looking away.

She turned on her earpiece, telling her crew to prepare the lifeboats and then turned it off.

She cupped his cheeks and gave him a long kiss and he pulled her close by her hips. When they broke apart she turned to him once more before leaving and gave him a sly smile.

"Hey Law?"

He turned and looked at her questioningly.

"I hate you." she smiled before walking off, leaving the stunned surgeon with a burning crimson spreading across his face.

When they began to see Dressrosa in the distance (Y/N) saw everyone off as they descended into the lifeboats. Hers and Laws eyes stayed on each other the whole time, their hearts silently saying goodbye.

"Are you sure about this Captain?" Belua asked and (Y/N) nodded.

"It's the best option." she said and Belua nodded before preparing the ship to take off.

A week later they reached Zou and the Straw-hats ran off to party while Law looked around for (Y/N). He found Belua and Navita who were drinking with the rest of their crew and they didn't pay much mind to Law approaching them. But Lex's face fell when he saw him.

He walked over to Law and tugged at his leg before walking into the forest. Law raised his brow and followed.

Once they were in a secluded area Law sat down on a tree stump.

"Where is she Lex-ya?" he asked with a frown and Lex looked down.

"She's in Wano." Lex said while he hung his head.

Laws jaw clenched and he balled up his fists. She had lied to him.

It took a few weeks for them to finish helping the mink tribe and getting to Wano.

However, it didn't take long before they were captured. Luffy and Law were taken from the prison to be brought in front of Kaido.

Both looked at him with a serious face as he glared down at them and then grabbed them both.

It was hard to believe that the famous surgeon of death and captain of the Straw-hats would look so small in comparison to Kaido.

"Straw-hat and Trafalgar." Kaidos voice boomed through the hall as he spoke.

They struggled as his fists closed down on them. 

"You destroyed my business. I will enjoy watching the life leave your eyes by my hands." he said as he tightened his grip, watching them cry out in pain.

"It wasn't them!"

Their heads turned towards (Y/N) who pushed through Kaidos followers.

"(Y/N)... Don't!" Law hissed as he was struggling through the pain.

"Papa, put them down and I will tell you everything." she pleaded.

Kaidos demeanor changed at the fact that (Y/N) rarely would refer to him as 'Papa'.

It was always 'father' and this softened his heart. Not enough to guarantee that their lives would be spared, but enough for him to do what she asked of him as he put them down.

"What are you saying my child?" he asked while kneeling in front of her.

Despite Laws cries of protest, she told her father everything about what happened to her mother and about messing with his business. This wasn't part of the plan but she thought she would have more time before Law and the others would arrive.
She didn't care what her father would do to her, she refused to watch anyone else die.

His eyes were filled with sorrow as he picked her up, gently at first, before something dark took over his eyes and he closed his fist around her. Law and Luffy screamed her name as she struggled to breathe.

"Why would you do this to me, child? Why would you tell me this now?" he asked while his fist trembled.

"B-Becuase– I–I couldn't l–let you..-k–kill–him!" she gasped as air wasn't returning to her lungs as easily as before.

"Why?" he yelled, causing his followers to cower in fear.

"W–we..–ne–ed–h–im!" she whimpered as her consciousness began to fade and Laws screams started to disappear.

" 'We'? " her father asked, his voice now softer, as her vision cleared and she gasped loudly as air suddenly returned.

It took her a moment to find her voice again as her lungs burned and her head spun before she nodded. She placed her hand over his and looked up at him.

"After everything that happened to mother. To my home. I don't want this kind of life.I want a family and I want you to be part of it Papa..." she said as tears started to form in her eyes.

Kaido looked at her in disbelief and gently put her down.

"I am going to be a grandfather?..."

She smiled and nodded.

"Sorry sorry sorry!" (Y/N) pleaded while hugging Law from behind.

It wasn't like he was mad at her for being pregnant, he was happy. But he would have liked the news to be delivered in a different way and not at the brink of death.

"How long have you known?" he said coldly.

"Not soon after I left Zou." she said.

"Is it mine?" he winced as he immediately regretted those words.

She let him go and stared at him in disbelief. "How could you ask that?"

He turned and looked at her with a glare. Since they never talked about her sleeping with Zoro the pent-up irritation over that fact finally burst out.

"Obviously since you slept with Zoro-ya. How can I be sure that the kid is mine? You even slept with him while knowing about me. I was on that same ship (Y/N)!" he yelled and she looked down, not knowing how to respond since he wasn't wrong. So she let him get it out of his system.

"You were alive all this time and never once tried to get in touch with me! Even when we were on the same ship! Do you have any idea how long I grieved over you?! Over everyone?! I thought I lost everything and you were alive all this time!" he was practically screaming at her at this point.

She looked at him hurt. "You know, I didn't know you were alive until I saw your wanted poster a few years ago. I grieved too. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you once I knew. But I couldn't." she said quietly.

He stayed quiet and she looked up at him with a pained frown. "If people knew about our past they could easily track me and my crew down and you would have gotten involved! Don't you think it hurt me to see you and not being able to talk to you like we used to?! Don't you think I missed you just as much?! It was torture Law! I missed you so much that I thought each and every day that it was going to kill me!" she yelled while he just looked at her coldly.

"But at least you knew that I was alive. You didn't have to grieve, thinking you'd never see me again. You just aimlessly had your little fun." he said with no emotions left in his voice.

"I fucked up okay?! I know that! We did stuff but I never fully had sex with Zoro! I couldn't!"

He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "And why's that?"

"Because I always wanted it to be you! I wanted you to be the one I gave myself to fully! And I did! You fucking idiot!" she yelled and shoved him before storming off.

He tensed up as Kaido walked over, thinking he was going to be beaten into a pulp before he felt a slight pat on his shoulder.

"It's incredible, yet frustrating, that she inherited her mothers' temper."

Law carefully looked up at him with a confused frown.

"Since it would cause my daughter grief, I am not going to kill you. But you better treat her and my grandchild well." he said before walking off.

Law finally found (Y/N) and carefully walked over.

"(Y/N)?"

"Go away."

"I'm sorry."

"Jerk."

"I know."

"Dumb-ass."

"Fair enough."

"Bread-lover."

"Hey!"

He relaxed when he heard her soft giggle before she turned around with a hand on her hip while scowling at him. He took a risk by walking over and wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I'm really sorry." he said as he rested his forehead against hers.

"Where's my apple?" she asked as she looked in his eyes, hers sparking with playfulness.

He sighed in relief before kissing her and then gently rested his head back against hers.

"I'll give you as many as you want for the rest of my life." he whispered.

She giggled. "Is that a proposal?"

He laughed and pecked her lips again. "One thing at a time (Y/N)"

"Hey Law?" she looked up at him.

"Hmm?" he asked while nuzzling her hair.

"I'm so sorry... I never thought about how much pain I made you go through. I thought I was protecting you but, I guess I was just protecting myself." she said looking down.

He tilted her chin up. "Looks like you owe me an apple as well." he smirked.

She broke out into a big grin. "Splitsies?"

He laughed before giving her a big kiss. "Splitsies."

Later on (Y/N) had talked to Kaido about leaving, but promised him that she would visit as often as she possibly could and after a tearful goodbye he saw everyone off.

(Y/N) decided to keep being Captain of the Iris pirates and that they would travel together. But she would live with Law and his crew so she left her first commander in charge whenever she wasn't on the ship while they would keep constant communication.

When everyone separated she waved Kaido off as the submarine and the ship left shore.

"What are you saying?" Vice admiral Tsuru asked.

Doflamingo laughed maniacally.

"I'm saying – the great Kaido has a child"
