At Poe's house, Ranpo walks inside and sees that Kaito Kid is pass asleep, he sets Karl down and pets him before standing up and leave

Ranpo: sorry buddy... I gotta go find Poe... It's too dangerous for you to come along... Just watch over this guy for me ok? I'll be back...

Ranpo leaves the room and closes the door, Karl was standing on his 2 feet tilting his head at the door, curiosity over what the detective was saying, Karl's ears perks up when he heard a small noise, he turns around and sees that Kaito Kid is fully awake and looks down at him with a cold stare.

Meanwhile Ranpo was on his way to somewhere and took a taxi to get there, he sat in the taxi in silence as he clenches on a small old watch thinking of the past, when he finally arrived at the destination and got off the taxi, he looks up to the building Infront of him, a tall skyscraper, it's almost as tall as the Port Mafias base, the area around the building was dead and silent, there was no one walking around insight, Ranpo could feel the familiar feeling of something bad about to happen coming from inside the building, it was a feeling he had almost long forgotten after joining the agency... He takes a deep breathe and went inside the building, to his dismay there were people inside this building, they asked him what his business was for coming here but he ignored them and used the elevator to go straight to the top of the building and went outside to the roof, out there he could see the entire view of Yokohama before him as the harsh winds blows through the air making his coat flutter along with it

Ranpo: I know you're here! Show yourself!  It's high time I deal with this problem myself...
???: hahahaahaha... How brave... You really dare to show your face here all by yourself? You really got a death wish! 

Ranpo turns around and sees a man in black clothing was standing high on the entrance to the rooftop, he wears a strange mask with 3 Google's glowing red and a mischievous smile plastered on his face, Ranpo tsked at his arrival and holds the watch tight in his hand

Ranpo: so you're the infamous Spider huh... wheres Poe? What did you do with him?!
Spider: oh~ so you have heard of me, good! Then I don't have to make a effort to introduce myself! If you know who I am, then you know exactly why I came here
Ranpo: I am not going to give Kid over to you! He's retired! What more could you want from him?! And why bring Poe into this?!
Spider: hahahaahahaha! Wow so many questions! And you're supposed to be this cities master detective? How laughable! All this time you tried to follow my tracks and you still couldn't even thinker it out...
Ranpo: what the hell are you on about? That gemstone was shattered the day he retired! It's gone now! So is it revenge your going for?!
Spider: foolish naive detective~ sorry but you know too much already so I can't risk it by giving away more information~ that's why I had a backup plan

Spider snaps his fingers and from behind him a tall figure walks up to show their face, Ranpo opens his eyes in shock upon seeing them

Ranpo: Kid?! How- when- what is he doing here?!
Spider: oh doing his job ofcourse~ I wanted him to kill a certain detective brat but... Oh to think he died before I got the chance... Serve him right anyways... But sience you another new detective has step your feet into my web, I cannot let you live... So I'll give him the satisfaction of killing you here... Tonight! It will be a spectacular show indeed!

Kaito Kid pulls out his gun and shoots at Ranpo, Ranpo ran and dodges the attack but Kid continues to shoot as he keeps running

Ranpo: shit! Kid snap out of it!! This isn't you!! You never use violence remember?!
Spider: hahahahaha! Yell all you want he can't hear you! He's under my control! He's practically my little toy now~ and you can say goodbye to your friend here and now!

Ranpo trips upon dodging a bullet, he freaks out as he is unable to dodge the next shot, he closes his eyes and brace himself for the shot when suddenly

Kunikida: Doppo poet!!
Yosano: sorry pal but this is our master detective... And we can't allow you of all criminal scumbag to kill him...
Spider: what the?!
Ranpo: everyone?! What the heck are you doing here?!
Dazai: here to help you out ofcourse, we couldn't let our only detective die on a whim
Atsushi: we may not know what's going on but we want to help!! Please Ranpo let us help you!
Ranpo: guys...
???: sounds like your new friends are quite a collection of allies huh detective?
Ranpo: huh?!
Spider: more?!

Everyone looks up into the sky as a helicopter flies straight over to them and let down a latter only for a figure to jump down and lands right Infront of them, a tall figure with tanned skin holding a katana sword in hand stood with a confident smile as he meets face to face with Ranpo

???: long time no see
Ranpo: Heiji?! What the hell are you doing here?!
Hattori: I got a call from Ms. Judy, she knew you were going to do it alone so she asked the only detective who could lend you a helping hand to come to your aid
Dazai: wow~ our detective sure has many secrets!
Yosano: your the one to talk
Ranpo: hehehe... Glad to see you again jerk...
Hattori: leave the pleasantries after the battle! Look ahead!
Spider: tsk- you think you can out number me?! We'll see about that!
Ranpo: we need to hold him off! Dazai try to get close to Kid! See if he's under some kind of mind control gift!
Dazai: you got it
Yosano: alright, I've been needing some new parts for my collection lately... You should be a perfect fit for the missing spots

Spider pulls out multiple guns and shoots all of them as the agency members charges straight at him, they all dodge the attack as they approach closer to him, Spider let's out a golden web attack and tries to trap them on the web but Heiji pulls the katana out of it seith and slices the web into pieces, Spider takes a few steps back before casting a illusion trick onto them, making them think there was a field of dead bodies everywhere on the floor and took the opportunity to pull out a few needle weapons and throws it at them, Yosano uses her chainsaw to block the needles as they all try their best to not be tricked by the illusion

Ranpo: don't look at the illusions! It's just a trick for you to lose your guard to fall for his hypnosis! Just keep attacking!!
Spider: damn you! I will kill all of you!

While everyone was busy with Spider, Dazai approaches Kaito Kid swiftly and dodged his bullet attacks, by the time he ran out of amo, Dazai charges at him and pins him down with his hands behind his back

Dazai: now now, be a good magician and hold still! I'm doing this for Ranpo san...

Dazai tries to use his powers on Kaito Kid but there was no effect, his face shows a displeased face as he calls out to Ranpo

Dazai: it's as I thought! It's no use! This isn't a gifted power!
Ranpo: damnit! Then it must be that stupid mask he's wearing... Try to see if you can destroy his mask!! Dazai hold Kid down! Do not let him break lose!!
Dazai: your asking alot from me here

Dazai karate chops Kids neck and he passes out on the ground, meanwhile the others are still fighting off Spider and his defense's, the moment Hattori manage to cut down the web that was blocking them from getting any closer to Spider, he stood there with his sword is hand and was ready to strike Spider, Spider quickly smiles and was about to use his hypnosis power

Ranpo: Heiji watch out!!
Hattori: crap!!

Before Hattori could react Kunikida was right beside him and punches Spider right into the face, breaking the mask on his face into pieces

Hattori: holy shit you're strong
Kunikida: it was nothing
Dazai: hahahah that's our Kunikida~ so nonchalant~!

Ranpo pushes pass Kunikida and Hattori and grabs Spider by the collar as he rips the remaining pieces of the mask off of Spiders face and looks at him dead in the eyes

Ranpo: you better undo whatever it is that you have done to him...  And tell me where the hell Poe is and be on your way behind bars... If i ever so munch as see you anywhere inside Yokohama again I will personally made sure you suffer a fate worse then death.
Hattori: woah woah woah! Calm down man! No need to turn on grim reaper mode!
Spider: tsk... Fine...
