-Lilah's POV-

"Lilah?"

I stare at her in shock, not even registering the broken glass on the floor. Kay was here, she was really here again. I run over and wrap her in a tight hug, holding on for longer than I probably should have, just to make sure she was real. I finally pulled back and held her cheeks, studying her face in disbelief.

"Oh my god," I breathe and a tear slips down my cheek. "It's really you. You're really here."

"What happened? You look so different," she shakes her head.

"And you look exactly the same," I smile, tears pricking my eyes.

"Why wouldn't I?" She laughs and my smile fades slightly.

"Kay, it's been five years."

"What?" She says, stepping back with a shocked expression on her face. "No. No, that can't be right. I must've ate something bad and passed out. I thought I was disintegrating." She grins, but it falters once she sees my expression.

"You did, Kay," I whisper and her eyes widen. "Half the world did."

"Oh my god," she stumbles back and falls onto the couch, and my stomach drops, panic that it was happening again flashing through my mind. "I can't believe this. You're thirty now. I'm still sixteen. I didn't age at all."

"It happened to half the world, Kay," I say and sit next to her. "You, Peter, May, Sam-"

"Peter?" She perks up quickly. "Where is he? Is he back? Is he okay?"

"I don't know, I haven't seen him." I say and she jumps up.

"I have to call him right now," she mumbles and dashes to the table looking around. "Where's my phone?"

"Um, it's in a box somewhere." I say confused.

"I need yours," she demands urgently and I give her a look.

"Kay, what's wrong? I'm sure he came back just like everyone else, you'll see him in a few-"

"Li, please!" She begs desperately and I give her my phone, deciding it was probably better not to argue. She paces the kitchen before groaning and giving me the phone back. "He didn't answer."

"I'm sure he'll come see you as soon as he can," I assure her and she nods, but I could tell something else was going on. "Kay, what's this really about?"

"I'm just worried about him," she insists and I drop it, since she obviously doesn't want to talk about it.

"Okay," I sigh, wrapping an arm around her. "We should probably unpack your stuff again. I just got the guts to pack up your room a few days ago, wish I had waited until you popped into thin air."

"Yeah," she laughs. "That's pretty unfortunate."

"C'mon kid," I grunt and pull myself off the couch. "Let's redecorate your room."

-Peter's POV-

I yell and continue fighting the strange alien in front of me. it tries to claw at me again but I duck, shooting a web at its feet. The thing tries to stab me and I roll to the side, narrowly missing the spear. The alien tries to come after me, but shrieks in anger when it realizes it's stuck to the ground.

"Yeah, you stay right there," I pant and web his spear, throwing it away from him. Suddenly I see him turn to dust, the same way I did. I get a sinking feeling in my stomach and look at my hands, waiting to disappear again. I look up in confusion and realize that only Thanos' army was disappearing. I laugh in relief and swing over to where the rest of the Avengers were.

My smile drops as I see Mr. Stark collapsed on the ground, half his body burned. I drop down and run to where he sat. I fall on my knees and stare in disbelief as he takes labored breaths.

"Mr. Stark?" My voice cracks and tears prick my eyes when he doesn't respond. "Hey- Mr. Stark? Can you hear me? It's Peter. Hey. We won, Mr. Stark- We won, Mr. Stark. We won. You did it, sir. You did it." I sob and hug him, breaking down. "I'm sorry- Tony."

I feel Rhodey gently grab me shoulders and guide me off to the side. I stand up and stumble away from Tony as Pepper sits in front of him. Rhodey takes me a few feet away and I collapse on the ground, tears falling down my face, no matter how hard I try to stop them.

"Hey," Pepper whispers and Tony is able to move his head slightly to look at her. Tony mutters something that I can't hear and Pepper puts her hand on his Arc Reactor. Tony rests his hand on hers and the stay silent for a few moments. "F.R.I.D.A.Y.?"

"Life functions critical." Tony smiles sadly and Pepper holds back tears.

"Tony. Look at me." She says, smiling. "We're gonna be okay. You can rest now."

Tony's reactor flickers off and I sob again as Pepper starts crying. Rhodey lays a hand on my back and I cry harder. I look up and see Agent Barton, King T'challa, Captain Marvel, and Peter Quill kneeling. The rest of the heroes soon follow and I wipe the tears off my cheek and shift into a kneel as well. We kneel in silence for our fallen hero, mentor, father, husband, and friend.

I limp back to my old apartment and pray that May would still be there. I raise my arm wearily and knock on the door. The door swings open and May stands there in shock. She quickly steps out and shuts the door again.

"Peter, there's another family living here." She explains and I look down at my suit in panic. "I'll sneak you out some clothes, don't let anyone see you."

I nod and she goes back in for a few minutes before cracking the door open and slipping some pants and a shirt out. I quickly throw them on over the suit and knock again before she opens the door.

"Act like you're seeing me for the first time," she whispers before gasping. "Oh my god, Peter!" She shouts and pulls me in a hug.

"Hey, May." I whisper, my voice cracking. I didn't have to pretend. A couple emerges from the kitchen with shocked expressions on their faces.

"This is my nephew that I was talking about, Peter." She turns to them and I wave. "We'll go find a friend to stay with tonight, can we come back in the morning?"

"Of course." The woman nods and May thanks her before leading me out.

"Where are we gonna go?" I question, deciding not to tell her about Tony yet.

"Let's hope Lilah didn't disappear," she mutters and starts the car, driving to where Lilah's apartment was.

Yay, they're back! So my plan for the next few chapters is to have Peter and Kay recovering from everything that happened, then I will start my plot. I hope you guys liked the chapter!
