"What an absurdity."

Choi Seungcheol or people always called him by his English name, Daniel , rolls his eyes toward the unwanted reaction from his colleague over the phone. He just told him a whole story about what happened to him on his way to the excavation site that seems so far away. Joshua or Hong Jisoo (his Korean name), his colleagues for more than three years already, seems unamused by the story.

"Someone suddenly appeared in front of your car in the middle of a deserted forest? Please check on his feet first, I'm so afraid that he isn't standing on the ground."

Seungcheol tries his best not to curse his omega colleague, but Jisoo is really getting on his nerves. "Be serious, Josh. He isn't a ghost or whatever, I'm certain he is our fellow human being. I accidentally hurt him, not too bad, but I need to take responsibility for the injuries on his feet."

"He can't walk?" Jisoo is asking again, this time he sounds more serious.

"He can, but he is limping because of me." Seungcheol takes a short gaze to the omega he just hit before, who is now laying on the patient bed in the ICU while the doctor seems to take an examination of his body and do something to reduce the pain and to heal him.

"Good to hear then. Now, what do you want me to do? Our activity today got canceled because of the rain and I will contact you again if tomorrow we're ready to get the job done, hope the sky helps us. You already brought him to the hospital and you can give him some compensation money for the accident, you said the injury isn't that life threatening. Then, you can drive him to his home and call it a day." Jisoo finally takes his breath after his long sentence, he sounds confused.

Seungcheol closes his eyes, feels frustrated. "Can you come here?"

"For?"

"On our way to this hospital, he seems restless about something." Seungcheol remembers the shout in the forest, he believes someone is chasing this omega and Seungcheol just doesn't want to get into their problem. But because this pretty omega was begging for his help, he didn't have a choice other than to take him into his car and bring him into the nearest hospital his google map could find. He was so afraid that he was already in the middle of the problem he didn't want to get into. Most of it, he didn't know who this omega was.

He wanted to ask about his name (even though he knew it might be someone named Yoon Jeonghan by how the shouter shouted his name before), about his address and such things, but the problem is....

"Is he okay, Doctor?" The doctor whose name he believes is Doctor Cha gets a little shocked by the way Seungcheol asked him a question in English. So, Seungcheol tries to elaborate more. "I can't speak Korean, sorry."

Thank God, the doctor seems to know how to communicate in English. "He is okay, no worry, he just sprained his left leg ankle. My subordinate will take care of that, but I'm afraid I need to ask this for you."

Somehow, Seungcheol knows the question even before the doctor asks him.

He asks something to the victim in Korean and Seungcheol releases his breath when he sees the victim, that beautiful omega with long hair, shakes his head. Doctor Cha nods in understanding and leaves them all at once, not asking anymore questions.

Seungcheol tries to smile at the omega, a reflected gesture to say thank you. What he doesn't expect is that the omega is smiling back at him. There is a gratitude on his smile that Seungcheol needs a minute to recover from the beauty behind it.

"Your name... Yoon Jeonghan ?" For the first time, Seungcheol tries to communicate with him.

Yoon Jeonghan looks like he doesn't understand the previous long sentence spoken in another language and Seungcheol understands it.

"Home, where?"

He expects the omega to tell him about his address but nope, his guess is wrong. This beautiful man in front of him just shakes his head.

It takes a whole ten minutes for Choi Seungcheol to understand that Yoon Jeonghan doesn't have a home and he asks if he could live for a while in Seungcheol's home and he will pay for it. "Ok, Jeonghan-ssi. Please tell me why we are in this situation?"

Jeonghan takes a deep breath and looks straight to Daniel. "I really need to explain everything, you must be confused why I was in the middle of the forest when someone chased me. Why do I need your help to get me out of that forest and why am I begging you to live here for a moment."
