Do you ever feel like you are living in this world but your life isn't truly yours? Like somebody else always chooses for you, someone already writes what you will be and you have no choice but to live up to their version of you.

Eventually, you have no control for your own life, your own happiness.

If you ever feel like that, then Wonwoo isn't the only one who is experiencing life like that.

Wonwoo looks out to the view outside his new apartment and sighs. He hates this city. All the traffic, pollution, the weather and also the noisiness this city gives him. If he can choose for himself, he will never want to go back to this country again.

Wonwoo has so many problems, one of them is his overprotective parents.

Four years ago, it was his parents who forced him to go abroad and study in Germany. They said that this country will never be good for him, he needed to live in a place where the shadow of his twins isn't there. Wonwoo was confused with his parents' choice, but he followed it, like always.

Now they are the one who commands him again to go back to this country and take a master degree here before joining father to continue his business.

Father and mother always choose everything for him, his appearance, his hair style, his clothes, his school, his degree, his circle of friends, what he should eat, everything .

Wonwoo is really sick of it.

It wasn't like this before, he remembers he had a pretty chill childhood, he almost thought that his parents forgot about his existence when there was still Wonho in their life. Wonho, the alpha son they always wanted.

Wonho was his older twin brother. Yes, you read it right. He is no longer Wonwoo's older twin brother because he already left this world when they turned ten. Wonwoo doesn't really remember the cause of his death, but his parents always said that Wonho was dead due to sickness. It's not like he had fond memories of his older twin brother though. Everytime he remembers him, it's always a piece of puzzle, it is so blurry that sometimes Wonwoo is wondering if he ever really has a twin in his life.

But one thing that he is sure of, he remembers he always envied Wonho because their parents always showed their unbalanced love within their own children to him. And now he is gone, it's Wonwoo's part to take all the spotlight from their parents. Maybe it's his karma.

Thirteen years after his twin brother died, it's crystal clear that their parents want to make him the second Wonho. It's good that Wonho and Wonwoo have a very similar face and posture.

Wonwoo hates the color of black and white (it's so boring), but his parents always bought him monochrome colored clothes just to suit their deceased son's taste. Wonwoo didn't really want to study related to science, he loves photography! But here he is, graduating with an engineering bachelor degree and will start his master degree in the same field next month. It was Wonho's dream, to continue their father's business. It's not his.

All the comparisons with Wonho made his childhood wasn't a good one to remember. Maybe the reason why their parents love his brother so much and didn't really care for him is because he was born as an omega. A weak omega that is always going to the doctor to check up on his condition every single week. It's such an irony why wasn't he the one who was deceased from the sickness, why was his strong alpha brother?

Wonwoo is jumping from his position, he is very much shocked with how loud his phone's ringtone is. He didn't expect that someone would call. Not when he was lying to his parents, he said that he will go back to this country next week. But he was going back earlier because he wanted to choose his own apartment, his private life. There is no way he wants to go back to his parent's house. Once he has already moved all his things to this apartment, it's hard for his parents to force him to go back, except they are really going all out like dragging out Wonwoo's ass from here.

If it's not his parent, then who is calling?

It's not like Wonwoo has many friends here.

Wonwoo hates the circle of friends his parents gave him when he was schooling here.

Wonwoo moves from his position of leisurely watching the afternoon view on his apartment balcony to go back to his bedroom to search for his phone.

"JEON WONWOO! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU ALREADY IN KOREA?!"

Huh... how does he know?

"Yeah yeah I know you are wondering how the hell I know, i called you yesterday but you didn't pick up. It's rare that you didn't pick up my call so I called your roommate, Daniel. Daniel said that you already packed your stuff and you are already on the flight."

Daniel and his big mouth, Wonwoo warned him to keep this secret. Glad that it's not his parents that call the big guy.

"You know, I can pick you up at the airport." Wonwoo hears a hint of sulky Soonyoung on the line and he chuckles.

"Hey Soonyoung, now that I'm here I wanna warn you not to get too close with me. Or your finally boyfriend, Jihoon, will get jealous. I don't want to have enemies, especially from the people i haven't met yet."

Soonyoung really loves to talk about Jihoon to him, all the chasing things he did to finally get him. Wonwoo really wants to meet this Jihoon guy faster, to see how amazing he is that someone like Soonyoung was tamed under his foot.

Sometimes he also mentioned his other friend, the alpha one, Mingyu ? Soonyoung didn't tell much about this Mingyu guy because of course he loves Jihoon more so he talked about his love story more often, excitedly. Like an eager hamster.

"Nah, he won't be. You are an alpha, why does he need to get jealous? I'm not into alpha and alpha relationships and he knows it so well."

Sometimes Wonwoo feels bad that he lied to Soonyoung about this thing. He really likes to be friends with Soonyoung and he doesn't want their relationship to change if Soonyoung knows that he is an omega.

Now you must be wondering if he is an omega and Soonyoung is an alpha, why didn't Soonyoung know that? When in this second gender world, an omega pheromone can make alphas go crazy and notice what is their second gender precisely.

And also... too close to an alpha is never too good for an omega, omega can go into heat anytime and it's a burden to them if they have an alpha close friend.

The answer is.. Wonwoo's other problems . Which is:

Wonwoo doesn't have any scents.

Wonwoo doesn't produce any omega's pheromone that can be noticed by alphas. He can scent alpha's pheromone but it doesn't affect him in any way, because there is something wrong with his hormone that makes him... never get into heat.

He is indeed a weird omega.

To be precise, he is a weird and virgin omega.

He has overprotective parents, a deceased twin brother, and he is a late bloomer omega which caused him to go to the doctor every week to check his condition. Because he never got into heat, it is so easy for him to get sick.

"Where are you now? In your parent's house?"

Wonwoo shakes his head as if Soonyoung can see it. "Nope i bought my own apartment, i'm waiting for my stuff to be sent here by the delivery services."

Soonyoung is chuckling in annoyance. "And again you didn't tell me. I can help, you know."

"Nah it's fine." Wonwoo is pausing at the moment and here someone rings his apartment unit's bell. "But I want to meet you Soonyoung, let's meet up by the weekend. I want to meet Jihoon too. Can you arrange that?"

"OF COURSE!" Soonyoung is so excited, it sounds loudly in his ears. "I will ask Kim Mingyu too. Remember the alpha I told you about before? Who is very handsome like me?"

Mingyu... Wonwoo also wonders who this Mingyu guy is. Soonyoung is always saying that Mingyu is so handsome (almost as handsome as him, Wonwoo quotes his best friend's words). But for Wonwoo, he wants to meet someone whose name is so pretty.

"Yeah, I remember him. I want to meet him too."

"Good! By the way, why do we need to wait until the weekend? And can you give me your apartment address?"

Wonwoo looks at his surroundings and the feeling of hate for a messed up place to live irks him. "I need a full 4 working days to tidy up this apartment. I really hate messiness. By the way, can we meet at your place? I don't think my apartment is ready to accept guests by the weekend."

Soonyoung laughs. "Typical Wonwoo! Ok, I can arrange that."

Wonwoo smiles. He misses his friend so much. "Good! Thank you. By the way, Soonyoung, seems like delivery services have arrived at my place. See you later, Soonyoung."

"Yes, yes! Please tell me if you need a hand, ok?" Wonwoo is agreeing on Soonyoung's kind help but deep down he knows he wants to do it by himself. He doesn't like people (even though it's his best friend) to touch his stuff.

After ending his call with Soonyoung, Wonwoo is walking towards the front door and sees delivery men are already starting to pile up his boxes of stuff in front of his door.

"Mr. Jeon Wonwoo?" Someone asks his name and gives him a paper that needs to be signed by him.

Ah.. he has so much stuff to unbox.

Wonwoo spends his afternoon and evening unpacking his stuff and tidying up in his apartment (which is bigger than he thought it would be). Seems like there are still a lot of boxes there and he is so damn hungry.

So he halts his activities, grabs his wallet, and walks outside to search for food.

That's when he sees a vietnamese restaurant nearby his new apartment building.

Vietnamese food?

Sounds good.

And he walks there without notice that his life may be changed into the direction he never expected.

It's 2AM in the morning and Wonwoo is having a stomachache. His first night in his apartment building ends up with him being sick again. And he is pretty sure it's not from the pho he ate before. Everything in his body seems fine after the Vietnamese restaurant but something was bothering him when he was having a bath before.

When he was showering, he slightly smelled an alpha pheromone. Is his neighbor an alpha? He doesn't have any issues with that considering his weird condition of an omega. But he still wonders who has that kind of scent, it's so strong and seductive at the same time.

It's not really clear, but he smelled a contrast of light, sweet notes of pear, and bergamot with dark and intense woody notes. It's not that he hates it, but the scent makes him want to shower faster and get out of the bathroom because he suddenly feels unsteady in his foot. Is it because he hasn't smelled any alpha in the past 24 hours?

After that, he tries to get some sleep. The scent is no longer in the air when he closes his bathroom and goes to his spacious bedroom. People say the first time sleeping in a new environment will bother him and it's true. He can't sleep and the lower part of his stomach suddenly feels hurt at 2AM.

Is it time to go to his personal doctor? It's only Tuesday.

Wonwoo groans and walks up from his position on the bed. He lazily drags his feet to search for better clothes to go outside. He isn't really sure that Doctor Hong is still awake at this ungodly hour but at least he will go to hospital first before his condition turns into something that will make his parents notice that their son is finally home but didn't tell them.

He calls a taxi and gets outside.

Wonwoo is coming back to his apartment when it's already evening. Doctor Hong was rushed into hospital when Wonwoo called him. Wonwoo always thinks that Doctor Hong sees him as his own son that's why examining Wonwoo's condition always becomes his priority in his life. That's why he had no problem going to the hospital at 3AM. Even though Wonwoo feels so bad to him, but his stomach ache feels worse and worse every minute passes.

After being injected with some medicine, Wonwoo fell asleep in the ICU room and woke up almost ten hours later.

"What the hell.... My stuff!"

Wonwoo remembers his boxes that are still on the outside of his apartment, he is not yet done with his moving in agendas. Thank God the medicine is very effective, he doesn't feel the pain anymore. He needs to go back.

Doctor Hong once again checks up on him when he wants to go outside the room, he assures him that he is ok now. He looks pretty unsure of Wonwoo's words but he chooses to just give Wonwoo another set of medicine and let him go.

Wonwoo is not lying though, he is very fine right now. He walks easily and no more stomach aches. He reaches his apartment door thirty minutes later.

When he wants to walk inside and starts to unpack his box again (thanks God no one touches it), he notices a paper folded into two near his boxes. He takes it and opens its fold.

There is a letter from someone he doesn't know. The handwriting is so bad but Wonwoo tries to read it.

Hi neighbor!

Thank you for choosing this place to live, hehe, I've been living on this floor alone for too long. Thank God you came! I was trying to knock on your door to greet you in person this morning but it seems like you're out already :(

That hehe and sad emoji makes Wonwoo smile. Seems like his new neighbor is a funny person.

If it is not bothering you, I want to meet my neighbor and welcome you properly. Do you have time today? I can buy you some food for dinner, you can go to my place or I don't mind going to your place either.

Wonwoo is not replying to the message again. He walks faster to his bathroom, he needs to take a bath because he has not yet showered since last night. He doesn't want to be labeled as someone who smells bad as his first impression from his new and funny neighbors.

After taking a shower, Wonwoo chooses his clothes. He wants to use his new yellow hoodie and white trousers. He really loves this kind of color. He hopes yellow is a good color for the first impression.

He searches for his arm watch and notices that it's 5 already, one more hour. Wonwoo plans to unpack a little of his stuff that is still in front of his door to fill the time.

It is 5.30 and someone is knocking on the door.

He is 30 minutes faster and Wonwoo appreciates that. But somehow he is also worried whether his new neighbor really drives his car at an unreasonable speed.

With worry and also eagerness, Wonwoo walks into his front door. He realizes that he can't smell any pear, bergamot with dark and intense wood in the air. It is when he is starting to get disappointed.

When he opens the door, there is no sight of a stranger's face welcoming him.

It is his mother, who looks at him with a very mad look painted on her face.

"Wonwoo."
