His accident brings a lot of pain for so many.

She looks so devastated, broken, and most of it.. guilty . She is afraid that Wonwoo will soon follow Wonho's step to eternity and leave her all alone in this world. All the mistreatment, the bad things she did for most of Wonwoo's life drown her into the world of guiltiness.

Wonwoo's father also looks so lost. He doesn't look like a very wealthy man who rules one of the biggest automotive's company in this country. He looks like an ordinary father who does everything in his power to save his son. He picks himself the best doctors to make Wonwoo come back to them.

Wonwoo was hitted by a random drunk woman this dawn. The woman drove her car in over 160 km/hours under the influence of alcohol and hit Wonwoo's car. The bump was too hard for both of the cars, the drunk woman was found dead in her car with a broken head's skull and a ruptured lung but Wonwoo was still breathing when the police found them. He was in a very critical condition with a heavy head injury and excessive bleeding but he was still breathing .

The surgery to save Wonwoo's life hasn't ended yet and it already takes fourteen hours. Everyone who is present in front of the operating room door almost can't breathe properly for that long.

Especially Mingyu.

He looks like he is facing death already.

The looks from his eyes are so empty and dark. He doesn't say anything, he only sits at the bench in front of the operating room while looking at the door with a blank expression. With every minute Wonwoo is there fighting for his life, life is taken from Mingyu's body.

"Mingyu." Soonyoung tries to call him but he doesn't give his best friend any response, he just lowers his head low. Soonyoung taps his shoulder softly and looks at his best friend with eyes full of sorrow.

The operation's door room finally opened after sixteen long hours, the doctor that was in there looks so exhausted. But he has a great self-composure to explain what is happening with his patient.

"Mr. and Mrs. Jeon." He first greets Wonwoo's parents and the way they look at each other, Jihoon assumes they already know for long. "We're so sorry.."

Jihoon's heart stops its one beat when he hears the way the doctor begins his explanation. The doctor with white hair also looks so serious and there is regret painted on his face.

No way ..

"No.." Wonwoo's mother starts to sob.

Mingyu, who still sits on the bench looks more tense and his face is so pale.

"We can't save the baby."

Jihoon closes his eyes and starts to feel guilty. He is also a part of this mess, if only he told Mingyu before about Wonwoo's pregnancy the moment he knew that Wonwoo was carrying his baby. Maybe, this tragedy won't happen.

Jihoon never sees this side of Mingyu. Mingyu who looks so disconnected from this world as if he doesn't exist in this world anymore.

"No, mam, Mingyu also only knew this yesterday. He didn't know that Wonwoo was pregnant."

Wonwoo's mother wants to ask more from the way she throws her gaze to Soonyoung but Wonwoo's father asks another important question here.

"How about my son?"

The doctor whose name is Doctor Kang takes a deep breath before saying anything. "His condition is very critical, even though the surgery was successful. We still need more time to monitor his condition, afraid something might happen. We also need another hour to conclude our operation. Soonyoung is gone for more than thirty minutes and now Jihoon is worried about him. Wonwoo's parents' condition, especially his mother, is still in the same state. But at least they have each other to support in this hard situation.

"Jihoon."

Wonwoo's father for the first time talks to him. They are all sitting on the bench right now. His wife is still crying by his side but he gives his attention to him to say something Jihoon never thought will come out from a man like him.

"Your name is Jihoon, right?"

Jihoon nods.

"Go search for Mingyu. We will be okay. Look out for him. He's not only almost lost a partner, but he's already lost a child in this tragedy."

And i know how it feels to lose a child, it's so fucking sorrowful and dreadful.

He can never imagine how broken Mingyu is right now until he is crying on Soonyoung's shoulder. Jihoon stops his walk and just stands still there.

"Once again, once again I can't protect him. I can't protect anyone. I lost my baby and I'm in the situation where I can lose Wonwoo anytime. I can't Soonyoung, I can't ." Mingyu's voice is so weak and broken, Jihoon wants to cry just from hearing the voice. "Why is it always Wonwoo who is always facing this? Why not me? Why is it always me who survives everything and never gets hurt?"

Jihoon doesn't agree with that statement. Even though Mingyu doesn't have any physical injury, can anyone say something about his mental state?

Both Jihoon and Soonyoung finally know everything about Mingyu and Wonwoo's condition, about their past, their bonds, and also about Mingyu's inability to sleep without Wonwoo.

Jihoon knows that Mingyu is serious with his words, it's not an empty word, it's his promise. Mingyu may have him and Soonyoung as his best friends, but nothing, nothing in this world can fill a big hole in his chest if Wonwoo really leaves him alone.

It is what she says the first time when they both sit alone at the hospital garden's bench. Mingyu doesn't give her any responses, he doesn't feel anything towards his parents anymore. Mingyu doesn't feel like eating.

"Wonwoo will hate it if one day he wakes up and sees you get a lot thinner and not handsome anymore." Soonyoung points at his eye bag and Mingyu can only sigh. "You need to take your sleeping pill, how long you haven't sleeping?"

How long? Mingyu doesn't even remember any of it. He still can move like this is just a pure miracle. The lack of sleep, again, ruins his body. His head is hurt and he almost can't focus properly on something in front of him. This is just like what he experienced in Germany all over again. But he used to it, he is okay with every torture he feels on his body due to his inability of sleeping. Something he can't bear anymore is the pain in his heart.

And about sleeping pills..

He already promised Wonwoo before that he won't ever take that pill again.

"I will go in." Mingyu totally ignores Soonyoung's words and steps inside to the empty patient room. Wonwoo's parents just go back to their house first to eat and change clothes, they will go back tonight.

"Wonwoo." He looks up straight to Wonwoo's unconscious body in the patient bed, he has a lot of medical tools on his body, to support him, to make him still with him in this world. Mingyu's heart hurts when he sees how weak Wonwoo is in front of him. He looks so calm as if he's gonna leave him forever. No, it can't be. Mingyu was so afraid to leave Wonwoo alone in this hospital. He was afraid that if something happens, it could be good or bad news to him, he isn't here, next to the love of his life.

"How are you today, baby?"

Mingyu softly and carefully touches his hand. "When are you going to come back to me?"

It's been seven days, Jeon Wonwoo.

"I miss you so much."

Mingyu misses Wonwoo's smile, Wonwoo's deep voice, he misses his touch, he misses how he laughs and the excitement in his eyes whenever he finds something that interests him like a good movie or a good book. He misses him so much even though Wonwoo is still here.

Wonwoo isn't replying, he can't . At times like this, usually when Wonwoo isn't replying to his question, Mingyu can feel his emotion to know his answer.

"Wonwoo is not here." He says with a serious face and looks like he wants to go from this restaurant. The waiter just places their bowls in front of them. Can they eat first?

"Wonwoo is in the hospital." Soonyoung says something that is a fact for both of them.

"His body is there, but his soul isn't there. I'm searching for it."

"I'll explain later, let's go Soonyoung."

Mingyu walks out first, leaving Soonyoung and his bowl of Pho alone. Sad, he wants to eat. Soonyoung sighs and leaves some cash money on their table and follows Mingyu to his car.

The next place is their apartment. The place they were together the most.

But... Wonwoo is also not there.

"Don't go there."

The voice.

Wonwoo looks back and sees someone that has the same face at him, looking at him sadly. It's not his inner omega this time.

It's Wonho.

"Wonho."

"Why are you coming here this fast, little brother?"

Wonwoo can't say anything, he is too speechless with what is present in front of him. All this time he always wanted to have a chance to meet with Wonho one more time. He wanted to talk to him, to say sorry, and to say how much he also loved him as a brother.

He really can meet him again, if he's dead. So, all this time he is trapped here, he is dead already. It's all meaningless.

"No, you aren't dead yet." Wonho explains and walks closer. "You will be dead if you walk over that place." Wonho directs his eye to the dark place behind Wonwoo, the right side of the intersection.

"Jeon Wonho..." Wonwoo calls him, his name sounds so lovely in his mouth.

"Yes?"

"I miss you and I'm sorry." Wonwoo knows that he didn't really do much physical affection to his brother when they were a kid, but right now, he really wants to hug his brother. So he does that, he runs toward his direction and hugs him tight.

Wonho is laughing and hugs him back. "I never imagined that my grumpy little brother would hug me like this."

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, because of me you need to die at a very young age, i'm sorry for living alone without you. I'm sorry, I have so many sins to you, I can't even beg for your forgiveness."

Wonho pulls out from the hug and looks Wonwoo straight in the eyes. He wants to convey the feeling he has for his little brother, directly , for the first time and the last time.

"What are you talking about? You don't need to be sorry. It was my choice and I want you to respect it by living to the fullest. I want you to find your happiness and always remember me, no need to remember me every single day, once a month is fine for me. Because I can't be dead for the people who remember me, I will live with them in their heart."

Mingyu once said something like this, in that lake when Wonwoo first opens his memories to Mingyu.

"Wonho is never gone, he will live here forever. He will live as long as the people that are still breathing, remember him."

Mingyu knows Wonwoo's twin brother's feelings more than him.

"I watch how you live all this time, brother. From my place, I can watch everything. I'm so sad whenever you start to feel guilty of the tragedy that both of us experienced when we were a kid. My heart is so broken when you drown yourself in guiltiness and think that you can't feel happiness anymore as a punishment for something you have no choice. Even though you said Mingyu's name that day, I won't let it happen. I must be the one who is dead in that basement, it was my end and I knew it."

Wonho touches Wonwoo's shoulder and gives his best smile.

"Because I was given this chance to talk to you directly, I want to say this, hear me out little brother. My only hope for you is to see you happy with Kim Mingyu. I want to see you two grow older together, maybe if both of you want, raising kids together, having five dogs or whatever, as long as you two are happy and accompany each other until you both have a white hair. I can be the happiest person alive, ugh wrong, not alive, however, if you live happily, i'm also happy with you from this high place."

Wonwoo wants to cry. He can feel the sincerity from his brother and this time, he doesn't need to say how much he loved Wonwoo, he can feel it. He can feel the deep and abiding love his brother has for him.

"Why must Mingyu?" Wonwoo asks, all this time he wonders why his brother really liked Mingyu even when they both were kids.

"Because I knew from the start that he is your soulmate, stupid little brother." Wonho laughs. "That's why I entrust you to him."

How could Wonho know it? They were ten and nine years old.

"I was a special kid, making a perfect score for all of my exams was not my only special ability. If two soulmates are met and I see that, I will directly know that they are soulmates. That's why I always know that you can't ever let Mingyu die in that basement, because he is your soulmate. That's why I knew from the start that I must be the one who is dead there. You got me now, my cute little brother?"

The last piece of the puzzle is finally found.

"You can't ever say his name, I know it, Wonwoo."

"Little brother. You can't choose between me and Mingyu and I know it, and it's not your fault. So I will be the one who chooses for you."

All of this time, Wonwoo always wonders why Wonho was very sure that Wonwoo can't ever choose between him and Mingyu. Wonwoo thought maybe because he was going to the very extent of giving his future as an omega to save Mingyu's life, to take that pill from that bastard Jinmoo. It made Wonho realize that Wonwoo was very much in love with Mingyu even though they were only a kid. Back then Wonwoo also didn't know the real reason why he did that just to save Mingyu, he just wanted to make sure that Mingyu was alive and okay. He is sure he never thought of the word love for Mingyu before.

But, now everything makes sense.

The unbreakable special connection between Mingyu and Wonwoo, Wonho, the first one who knows it . The connection that is so special and the bond that is so deep between them, Wonho knows it before them.

"So, go back to Mingyu. That's the right place for you, not here." Wonho smiles once again. Wonwoo is grateful that he can see Wonho's older version right now. He will forever remember him this way. A very handsome, strong, kind and smart alpha and an older brother for him.

"How can I go back? I lost here for so long." Wonwoo asks the important question here.

"Take the other road and open your heart, maybe you can hear Mingyu calling for you."

Wonwoo is confused but Wonho doesn't say anything. He just takes a look at his brother he loves so dearly. His eyes are full of affection. Wonwoo knows this is a final goodbye to his brother, so he will say it for the first time and the last time.

"Wonho, thank you for everything and... I love you."

Wonho is smiling so brightly to him. "I know, little brother. I know."

Wonwoo gives his brother his final hug and he feels that his brother is fading in his embrace.

Brother, thank you.

Wonwoo takes his moment after Wonho leaves him.

If by any chance he can go back to the world of living, he will remember Wonho forever in his heart with a grateful heart. That makes him live forever with him, in his heart.

Wonwoo smiles and his heart is a little bit lighter. Wonho makes all the uneasy feelings and the fear go away. He can go back, he will go back to Mingyu. With that confidence in his heart, he walks his way to the left side of the intersection.

This place is still a dark place but he can feel something pushes him forward. Someone enlightens his way, and someone calls him.

"Wonwoo Hyung."

"Wonwoo-ya."

"Jeon Wonwoo."

That someone is Mingyu.

It's Mingyu's voice.

He follows Mingyu's voice he can only hear by his heart and at the end...

He can see the light of this endless tunnel.

Mingyu is up there, at the top of the ferris wheel, he is looking at the last ray of sunshine spreading its magnificent beauty in this horizon. He was seeing this with Wonwoo before and he remembers the things he said to him, he remembers their shared kiss while watching this, and he remembers their forever.

This place feels like Wonwoo.

Is he here all this time? Is he riding this never ending ferris wheel alone?

"Wonwoo Hyung."

He calls for him. He definitely can feel him.

"Wonwoo-ya."

He yearns for him, he misses him so bad until he can't feel pain anymore. He can't feel anything but his Wonwoo Hyung. He feels so connected with him right now even though he isn't present in front of him or his inner alpha is finally meeting again with Wonwoo's inner omega.

It's not it.

It's only Kim Mingyu who can finally feel Jeon Wonwoo again.

"Jeon Wonwoo."

Mingyu feels his phone is ringing in his pocket, he looks for it for a moment, afraid if it's a call from the hospital.

And he was right.

Jihoon calls him.

Mingyu pulls up the call and Jihoon is immediately screaming at him.

Jihoon is screaming frantically, what a rare occasion.

"MINGYU! WONWOO IS AWAKE!"

The sun is setting down, everything is turning into a darker side but after seven days long Mingyu finally can breathe again.

"Promise me, Wonwoo, promise me that you won't ever walk away from my life again. The future is unknown, I know. But please, stay by my side."

"I promise, Mingyu."

Wonwoo is still keeping his promise with him.

He won't ever leave Mingyu alone again.
