#2: [Flames]

"So this is where we find him..." Kamino stared blankly at a small temple, no, rather a small dojo of sorts. Dark red in colour, with a black tiled roof. "This unexpectedly took shorter to reach here than expected..." He stroked his chin as he walked on a gravel path towards the entrance.

"Because thirty minutes of walking is short..." Kashii mumbled, her eye twitching and a strand of her black hair sticking up of how ridiculous Kamino's thoughts were. Following Kamino as he strolled down the gravel path, at the entrance, long, tall light green bamboo and sugar canes stood there at the sidelines, as dark blue lakes resided next to them, a soft shine in the water. As the pair got closer, they could hear a fight going on. It was between the Shogun God and a challenger! Kamino went and opened the slick, black painted door and pushed it open simply, as he could now see it.

The heat of the fight was reaching him, quite literally too, as one large man with four arms was coated in dark red flames, swirling as the challenger was running around in desperateness.

"This is it!" Two large dark grey cannons on his back were pointed at the challenger, whose face was dripping with sweat and was cut, blood seeping out and bruises apparent. The face showed a want to win, but at the same time showed there was no hope. The two were fighting in the centre of the dojo, as the outer ring was coated in black cushions, and the walls of the dojo was quite soft too, like a couch's texture. The ceiling had a traditional gold candlelit light to illuminate the room, and windows seemed inexistent in the small building. Tucked away in a small corner was a young girl, watching the fight intensely, who had back length pale purple hair, with braids at the side which turned into a small tail at the back of her head. She had soft purple eyes, with more smaller lashes, but carried a more innocent and naive look to it. However, she looked far from innocent and naive- there was an air of destruction around her- and the aura she brought didn't feel right. She was sitting in the cage, body sitting on her own legs. She had her hands in her lap, and wore a cotton white dress with frilly bits and had some red on it, mainly at the waist, and the sleeves. It had gold on the edge as well, and she wore a bright blue choker.

Kamino couldn't help but stare at her beauty, dumbfounded as the cannons released a shot of flames at the challenger, knocking him out of the fighting space and into the wall, the cushions softening his impact as his face looked charred and his clothes were burnt were it hit. Kashii looked in shock at such immense power, but Kamino wasn't interested. His eyes were glued onto the girl, the slave of the God.

"Hey Kami-chan..." Kashii tugged at Kamino's sleeve and looked at him. He turned to her. "Whose the girl in the cage...?"

"Oh... She's the God's Slave."

"Slave?" Kashii wasn't really familiar with these terms. She mainly got into this whole God Slaying thing for Kamino who wanted a partner of sorts.

"God's have slaves, female only. Defeat or kill the God and the Slave is free from their control, and then the slave has two choices. Take the power of the God and become a Goddess, or you get the power and they are in your debt." Kamino explained as the challenger ran out in fear, passing the two.

"Oh, I see now."

"So, you two are my next challengers?" The God boomed. Looking up-close, he was massive in size. Tall and muscular, with each of his four arms muscled and ready for fighting. His hair was blood red in colour and spiked up, the tips of the spikes in cold blue. His eyes were sharp and menacing, but brought about a kindness to them in the colour of sky blue. On his shoulders were the two cannons, and what he was wearing was an off-black karate gi, known as a karate uniform, and was sleeveless, mainly because if two arms had sleeves and one pair didn't, it wouldn't make much sense. He was also barefoot too. Around his waist however, was a modern black belt with four ornaments, two swords sheathed and two daggers sheathed. "State your name and where you're from." He said, lower arms crossed and upper arms holding his cannon's handles.

"My name is Kamino Satsujintou and I come from the rice fields." Kamino bowed down to the God.

"Uh, my name is Kashii Chikara and I'm from this town." She bowed down like Kamino did, going red faced from not knowing what to do.

"Raise. Are you two both fighting me?" He raised a brow, as Kamino and Kashii stood up, looking at him.

"Yes, preferably together." Kamino said as he tilted his upper body down as a way to plead, before titling it back up.

"Two against one... That is fine. I am the Shogun God! The military genius and fire king! If you defeat me or kill me in battle, you may have my slave! Her name is Hoshiko Usagi!" The Shogun God pointed at her, as she waved, Kamino once again mesmerised by her. Kashii didn't exactly like how Kamino was looking at the girl was weirdly, so she elbowed him to get his attention back to what was most important at hand.

"Shogun God... May I call you Sho for short?" Kamino asked as he turned back to look him.

"Yes, you may. Five minutes to prepare, then we fight." He walked to the other side where he sat down and closed his eyes, controlling his breathing.

Kamino took off the bag of the sword and took out the sheath and held Hirari by the handle. He pulled it away from the sheath, as the sword's glory was revealed. The blade was silver and new looking, as Kashii took out a pack of arrows in a quiver in her bag, slinging it onto her shoulders. She then pulled out a long metal stick, where when she moved her wrist down quickly, it opened up two prongs with a piece of string attached between them, and attached itself to her arm through two cuffs. The colour was a silver-blue.

"You ready Kashii?" He asked. She nodded. The Shogun God opened his eyes and stood up.

"The rules for this is simple. One round. If you're knocked out of the ring you lose. If you die, you lose. If I win, you get out of this dojo and swear to never come back again, and if you win, you get the slave." He announced. "Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes." The two nodded as the God smirked. "Let the fight begin. Agni Chakra!" He shouted, as everyone stepped into bounds, a ritual circle tagged them as a pattern on the floor glowed in bright red, before sparking flames, and dying down. "Our bodies are attached to this Agni Chakra." He smirked. "Now, we shall fight."

"Hirari." Kamino announced as the sword was upright. A sudden sweeping of wind came around him as his sword's blade started to glow bright gold. Then, the gold spread and coated Kamino himself, leaving the boy in a colour of energy. He pulled his cotton black face mask up, it covering his mouth and half of his nose, the edge a dark blue in colour. Kamino zipped up his jacket to leave only a small opening of his shirt visible, before disappearing. Kashii grabbed an arrow and pulled back on her arm-crossbow, pointing it at Sho, as Kamino reappeared in front of him, throwing his blade forward and almost landing a clean hit, but Sho drew out his own sword and the two scraped against each other in an ugly fashion, sparks flying and blades grazing against one another, while he cut through an arrow with the other sword.

"So, how do you explain that?!" He shouted at Kamino, who ignored him, narrowed his eyes and seemingly disappeared once more.

"It's the power of Hirari!" Kamino announced in an angry tone as he was now in the air, the sword pointing down on Sho as he narrowed his eyes. He was battling two people, studying Kamino's movements while ignoring Kashii's shots for sniping him, as he simply cut through the well aimed arrows with his sword.

"Damn it..." Kashii mumbled as she stopped shooting. She needed a clear opening, and it didn't look like it'd come anytime soon. Kamino reappeared at the edge of the circle, as Kashii and Kamino were on opposite edges, Sho in the middle.

"Foolish children. Kashii, your shots are pointless. Kamino, your movements are too erratic." The Shogun God himself announced. "I won't be needing these." He lifted the cannons off his shoulders and chucked them at Kashii who threw herself to the ground just to dodge the heavy cannons in time before it hit her. She yelled in pain as her knees skidded the floor, leaving a bloody mark through the friction burn of the hard floor.

"What were you achieving with that?!" Kamino asked, his golden energy burning brighter than before.

"This." He threw his swords into the air, before Kamino saw an opening to strike and charged forward without hesitation, the wind blowing in his favour as he ran at hyper-speed at Sho who was currently unarmed. Breathing in and out, Sho closed his eyes and breathed out as flames covered him, as in a quick flash, multiple things happened.

Within a split second, red flames coated Sho, as he drew small daggers out for his lower arms and caught the larger swords with his upper arms, and knocked Hirari out of Kamino's hand, as the blade went straight for his neck.

"Again, erratic." He sighed. "Without the sword, you can't access your speed. "Hirari", the Japanese word for "Nimbly". That is what the sword let's you access, to break a human's normal capacities, and go nimbly at the opponent. It's a nice trick but it seems to wear off once you let you go. I mean, where's the golden flare you had before?" Sho looked at Kamino who was running towards the sword, this time not coated in gold. Kashii stood up and shot a arrow to the back and cut through it using his sword. Just as Kamino was about to get Hirari, Sho stabbed his sword where Kamino was about to go, making him flinch as Sho dropped his current weapon in favour for Hirari, picking it up in the process.

"No!!" Kamino shouted, in despair as Sho had just gotten control of his treasured weapon.

"Flames and the power of Hirari... This'll make for an interesting combination...!!" Sho turned his head to face Kashii who was at a stand still in fear, knowing she was useless as of now.

"Don't attack her dammit...!!" Kamino grabbed Sho's old blade and ran at him, swinging his sword at his arm, which deflected with a sword, before Kamino pulled back and ran to the other side of Sho, and thrusted the blade forward as he used Hirari to cut Kamino's weapon in half, the blade throwing to the ground. "No way... No way in Hell?!"

"War is about numbers is but a single aspect of the truth. I am crushing you two in this fight... Yet I haven't even bothered using my own strengths. I will use yours to my advantage.." He marched over to Kashii who got ready to fight, ditching her quiver in favour for a close combat weapon as she extended the bow's length, the string snapping and leaving her with a pickaxe like weapon attached to her arm. She broke off the first half, revealing a pointed spear at the end and a pickaxe in her other hand.

"Don't worry about me Kami-chan!" She smirked. "I've got this!"

"No, you don't.. Hirari!!" Sho announced, as a golden aura flared up, as the aura turned into a red-gold because of his flames meshing in as well.

"KASHII-SAN, RUN!" Kamino screamed. "HE'LL KILL YOU!"

"No he won't...?!" Kashii coughed harshly, her eyes rolling back in pain, blood being coughed up from her mouth as Hirari struck her in the stomach, also knocking the wind out of her.

"Too late..." Sho mumbled as red trickled down the blade and knocked Kashii to the cushions of the dojo, as the sword Kamino treasured was used against him on his childhood friend.

"...no..." Kamino dropped to his knees as he saw a bloodied Kashii lying on the cushions, slowly leaking blood from her stomach. "No... I'm not letting her die here?!" He shouted in a hurry, before looking at Sho.

"There's no point!" Sho grinned. "If you want to save her life, you can leave with her, but that'll be forfeiting. Or, you can continue this pointless match and leave her to die for a taste of a God's power and your sword back... Such a hard decision. What will you do, Kamino?!" A loud, hearty laugh came from Sho as he watched Kamino cower in despair.
