I think how her outfit and hair somewhat match. And Black to dark blue seems normal with a dye. Some people make it where they have black hair then a bright pink out of no where or where there hair is completely blue.
Backstory: When she was born her sister was kidnapped and the never talked and years later (13) her parents died from a mysterious force, she now lives with herself.
I like this backstory, but both parents? How they were both attacked but the mist let one live so they can tell other people about it so there's more people fearing it

How about it's not the same mist? Like if something killed my parents and all that I wouldn't want to control it. That would be a game changer, like everyone thinks it's the same mist but it's not. What if there were two?
How they kill: The mist surrounds the victim and circles them when it retreats it leaves a dead body with no sign of life
