Alcoholism.

Maybe I should tell him to keep the noise down...

The redhead goes as far as to open her mouth in order to speak but upon seeing that Penguin has now begun to dance along the path, she closes it again, merely cracking a grin as she watches him.

Actually, this is quite interesting.

The crew had stopped for supplies at the closest and safest island possible before they make it to Wano, the submarine was undergoing some minor maintenance so naturally, Shachi and Penguin decided to pass time with a few drinks at the bar and Kyo had joined them.

She almost finds it strange how she still keeps up her end of the bargain to take care of these men when they visit islands, it's purely optional nowadays but it would seem that force of habit demands she keeps an eye on them, especially when they're drunk.

Not that she's in a much better state herself, they had managed to get her drinking many different types of liquors also, which she did mainly to prove a point.

At first they had tried getting her to take part in the drinking session by claiming that she was boring, then again by semi-seriously begging and then finally, they challenged her;

'You're just too scared to drink with us because you know you couldn't handle it!'

Well, if there's one thing she sure as hell does take after Mihawk for, it's her pride.

She never turns down a challenge.

And now here she is, very tipsy and trying to walk herself as well as these two goons back to the submarine as quietly as possible, Law was very adamant that he doesn't want to draw in any unnecessary attention on this island before they head to Wano.

Perhaps he shouldn't have trusted Kyo to take care of it all on her own though, she has always been easily-distracted from tasks and certainly amused by bad choices.

Of course, she'd argue that she's not drunk because she still has 'all her senses in tact' which simply just means that she can still see a short distance ahead of her, hear people well enough and speak somewhat clearly.

However, she cannot walk straight, control the volume of her voice or emotions - she hasn't cried yet like some drunks do but she has told Shachi and Penguin repeatedly that they're lovely boys and she's glad to have met them, as well as threatening them not to die because if they do, then she'll have to kill them...apparently her logic had taken a heavy blow from the alcohol also.

At least she got them back to the dock despite their singing and odd dancing, earning themselves one final "Shh." since she knows if Law hears them, he will not be impressed. "You'll wake your guests."

Yes, using the samurai's will be best option in this case, I'm sure.

As she should have probably expected though, they completely disregard her order and continue their very bad dancing while singing some kind of lullaby song that they must have heard when they were young at the top of their lungs, earning themselves a roll of the eyes from the redhead.

"Fine, act stupid and get your ears chewed off by your captain, it makes no difference to me." The girl simply huffs, about to make her way back onto the submarine before something interesting catches her ear, a high-pitched squeak from Penguin's lips as he slips off the dock entirely, falling face-first into the water with a harsh slap resounding from the surface.

Well...I bet that stung...

It only takes a split second for the boy's head to burst out of the cold water again, seemingly gulping for air and flailing his arms and legs around far too much to stay afloat, which is awfully bizarre since he's actually quite a decent swimmer when he's sober. "Help me!!"

Kyo's face slowly morphing into more of a pout as she shoots a glare at the drowning boy, Shachi seemingly finding it hilarious and laughing far too hard to offer him any aid at all, which only leads to the redhead sighing deeply to herself.

"I suppose I'll help him, shall I?" The girl grumbles as she passes the giggling Shachi, getting down on her knees and reaching a hand out over the water. "Penguin, just grab--!" Her own scream abruptly cuts her off when the boy's hand blasts out of the water and clutches onto her wrist, accidentally yanking her into the ocean in the process, a scene that only cracks Shachi up even more.

I can't swim!

The coldness envelops her first, causing her entire body to stiffen as she begins to sink, her power slowly beginning to ebb away.

She can still see Penguin's legs flailing near the surface of the water, something that she envies greatly right now, a disgruntled gasp escaping her lips as she runs out of air, of course this only leads to her inhaling a load of water, her lungs now feeling as if they're shrinking.

This has to be the most dumbest way to die...

Then within that same second the scenery changes completely and she's pulled out of the water, now finding herself laying on her side against a solid wooden floor instead, the blurred starry sky above her head.

What? What happened?

"I thought I told you all to be discreet!" Her head instinctively turns into the direction of the familiar voice as she weakly sits up, her body still feeling weakened as she coughs up the water she had inhaled before, her unsteady gaze landing on an annoyed-looking Law and stood before him are both Shachi and Penguin,.

Did he teleport us?

Shachi has now ceased his laughter completely, his body still wobbling a little from all the liquor he had consumed tonight and his head ducked down sheepishly as he murmurs several slurred apologies under his breath. Then there's Penguin, he's just about as soaked as Kyo and is very much swaying from side-to-side but he actually looks a little more guilty than his friend does.

"S-Sorry, Captain!"

"Just go inside and drink plenty of water before bed, I don't want any vomit in the hallways." And with that, his two crewmember's nod obediently before making their way inside, their captain's fierce gaze is now shifting to catch Kyo's stare instead. "And what were you doing in the ocean?"

What on earth do you think?!

"Well, I've always heard midnight swims are beautiful and wanted to see for myself, obviously." Her sarcasm seems to irritate him further for a very brief second before a smug smirk breaks out across his face.

"That wouldn't surprise me from you, Kyo-ya." His words only earn him a small pout from the girl in return as he turns around, about to head back inside until her voices reaches his ears again.

"Wait, Law...could you possibly take me inside? ...P-Please?" Embarrassed would be an understatement of how she feels right now, her vision had finally gone completely haywire and everything seems to be swaying, honestly how such an effect is only kicking in now? She wouldn't know but she certainly isn't enjoying it at all.

"Why? Are you still weak from the water?"

"No, my eyes are spinning." Little to her knowledge, that answer only causes the male's smirk to widen, his orbs watching observantly as she pats the ground in front of her, seemingly trying to work out where she might be.

Naturally, Law just studies her for a couple of seconds before finally deciding to step in, simply tucking one of his arms under her knees and the other around her back before he lifts her up to his chest, simply carrying her into the submarine with a subtle frown etched into his features.

"You better not be sick in bed, Kyo-ya."

"Mmh."
