Zou.

"Your friends must be here, right?"

Kyo takes a side glance in Robin's direction as the raven speaks, her hand resting of the hilt of her dagger in case anymore surprises jump out, like that rabbit-girl.

"Yeah." Law answers somewhat coldly, seemingly just waiting for the woman to get to the point.

"Is there a way to make contact?"

"No. I didn't even expect to see them again."

That stings a little bit.

"I forgot that I had a vivre card."

Law hadn't said it aloud to her before but it became all too clear to Kyo that he wasn't betting on surviving Dressrosa, a part of her is even little annoyed with him for only deciding to mention it now and to think that he left his crew here to wait for him.

Does he not realize how painful it would have been for them if they read about his death in the news? But she also understands, it would have been better that way for Law, rather than dragging them all into the ground with him.

But even so, she can't stop herself from feeling like he was being selfish in making that decision.

Does he not realize that in not being present, they would've constantly been asking themselves 'what if'? It would have hurt them more in the long-run...

"He didn't remember much about this island because he left when he was little."

The surgeon's words drag the girl out of her worst-scenario thoughts and brings a small smile to her lips, she could only imagine what Bepo looked like when he was a baby, the thought of a baby polar bear admittedly melts her heart a little.

"Can we trust him?! For instance, just for instance, you know..."

"Hm?" Her eyes shift to Usopp as she hums to herself curiously, the poor sniper is seemingly shaking in his boots as he speaks.

"He might become aware of his nature as a member of the cannibal tribe!"

Cannibal tribe...living on top of a giant century-old elephant...okay, Usopp.

"I've known him for a decade, we can trust him. If you wanna get reliable information, let's head straight." Law's words are oddly cold with this sentence, it would seem that he doesn't much appreciate the assumptions of Bepo possibly being a bad guy but then, she could hardly blame him for that.

Law seems very fond of his entire crew, sure, but the redhead had gathered within the first week of being allied with the 'Surgeon of Death' that Bepo is most likely his favourite.

She follows in the doctor's steps despite Usopp's ranting in the background, calmly nudging Law with her elbow as she wanders alongside him to subtly gain his attention.

"Is the vivre card in good condition?" It will only give away the state Bepo's health, if she isn't mistaken but, even that is enough to reassure her at this point.

Her brows furrowing as she remembers the absolute state Ace's card was in leading up to events of the Paramount war.

"Stop worrying, they're strong enough to take care of themselves."

"Oh, I'm sure. That's why you wanted me around, right? To make sure they don't bleed out?"

It's very clear that her persistent stressing is beginning to irritate Law, his eyes focused straight ahead as the girl nervously toys with the rings on her index fingers, her brown orbs scanning her surroundings warily.

Everything is beaten up around here, there's many signs of struggle but none of life and it's making her feel uneasy, her eyes darting back to Law to see that his attention is still fixated on the road.

"Can't you check it again?"

"Kyo-ya." The surgeon's voice falling low suddenly, almost harbouring a slight threatening kick to it as he glances down at her from the corner of his eye. "Be quiet."

"Don't talk to me li--"

"Tra-guy!" Usopp luckily interrupts the redhead, the girl pouting in the cowardly sniper's direction before she turns her gaze back onto the broken scenery surrounding her, only half-listening as the boy panics to Law about potential enemies nearby and such. "Something bad happened here recently! I think we should--"

"You're starting to sound like Kyo-ya."

That causes the girl to stop dead in her tracks, her brown orbs darkening as she glares a hole through the back of Law's head, not that he takes much notice despite sensing her stare.

He just knows that comparing her to a coward will stop her from audibly stressing so much since she certainly doesn't want to be seen as 'scared' or anything of the sort.

Once they reach the town, they find it had all been ruined recently also.

There's broken buildings, enormous claw marks within the brickwork, torture devices and...a giant footprint?

How could something so big possibly stand on this elephant's back? It must be a giant...

She almost loses her balance when the 'ground' begins to shake, a frown etching into her features as she scans her surroundings, trying to work out what the source of this unsteadiness is.

A warmth enveloping her wrist as Law takes a firm grasp on her.

"Stay close."

She could almost scoff at his sudden change in attitude, he went from being annoyed with her to wanting her to 'stay close' rather quickly but, she's hardly in a position to argue with him.

Her eyes just about leaping from her skull when she sees the massive gushes of water pouring from, what she can assume is, the elephant's trunk.

"What?!"

"A big splash of water?!"

"It'll cause floods, get to high ground!"

"Run!"

It's probably a good thing that Law has a grip on her wrist now since she's too dazed to even speak or move, the raven pulling her along with him as he runs and actually managing to snap her out of her staring state in the process.

Luckily for them, they were all able to get out of harm's way but not without getting a bit wet.

The redhead frowning as she silently wrings as much water from her hair as possible before scooping it up into a ponytail, listening closely to the conversation surrounding her.

"It seems like both the town and forest are adapted to this water level."

"That means it happens every day."

I wonder if the residents have a problem with people drowning here then...

"Are you alright?" Law's voice now sounding calmer as he watches the redhead from the corner of his eye, bewildering her for a moment before she nods.

She wasn't expecting him to care since she had seemingly pissed him off before, she can't even figure out exactly whether or not he would have asked if they weren't an...item? Whatever, this is between them.

"You know how I love water." The girl finally murmurs sarcastically, somehow even causing the surgeon to blush faintly, she can't figure out why though.

It's certainly no secret to him (or his crew) that she only likes water during baths and showers, she doesn't like it touching her any other time, they learnt this when Shachi flicked her with some dishwater playfully, she looked about ready to kill the poor boy.

Although that was mainly because she was writing at the time and by pulling this small prank, he smudged her ink. Little does he know that if he wasn't a member of Law's crew, she might have just killed him...although killing people isn't her biggest priority nowadays.

What the hell is happening to me? Am I going soft?

A sudden boyish scream snaps her attention back to Usopp, the sniper is on top of a large structure and seemingly panicking about something.

"Luffy's been eaten a little!"

"Pardon?"

"What?! So they really are..."

"A cannibal tribe!"

Oh, please...
