Feathers!? What the-- how are you here!?!
Oh, I've gotten some strong connections with the author. Isn't that right~?
*far off swearing*
I'll take that obvious "no" as a "yes"!)
You and Sans walked for the longest of time, just looking at the surrondings and enjoying the peace of silence. Until Sans asked a question--
"hey, uh, (y/n)?" Sans asked, seeming unsure of himself.
"Yeah?" You responded, turning to see him.
"you haven't used your powers for a while..." He pointed out, "why is that?"
"Oh!" You laughed, "well, only one characters supposed to have powers. And in this story, you can't survive with out magic."
"So..." you continued, "I thought the sidekick would have powers. And that means I've got none."
"hey!" Sans retorted, "i'm no sidekick!"
You just giggled and shrugged at Sans' complaints, while continuing to walk foward.
Once you got to a good clearing-- "...i mean, if it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even be here. so, that would make you the sideki-"
"Sans, shut up."
"what?"
"Shh! Shut. Up! I hear something..." you ordered, shushing the noisy skeleton.
Once it got quiet-- yup, that's definitely someone screaming. There were rushing footsteps, and heading your way, too.
After a while, a panicked young child came into the clearing. She had foggy glasses, a yellow package, and a purple bow-tie.
They were looking around, her eyes wide and panting like crazy. She seemed to be looking for someone, anyone...
Then she spotted you.
"Y-you!"
She ran up, still panting.
"H-here! I d-don't have m-much time!!" she frantically breathed, handing you the package.
"Uhm... thanks? But what is this???"
"I-i-i-it n-n-needs to go to the n-nearest i-inn! P-p-please, b-bring it there! A-and whatever you do, don't look in i-it!" She said, and rushed of from where you came.
You stared at the young girl running off, still extremely confused. "...do you have any idea what just happened?" Sans asked you.
"Nope." You bluntly admited, and stared at the package. "I wonder what could be..."
As if right on cue, a rustling from the woods came. You snapped your head, only to glimpse a slight bit of yellow. More specifically- yellow feathers.
"I always knew that chick was strange..." you mumbled to yourself "Come on, Sans. Let's go."
Sans simply nodded and followed you as you continued to follow down the path.

You and Sans had continued walking, talking and laughing as per usual, when the whole world went white.
Oh no... you said, searching your surrondings. This isn't like the dreams... right??
After a while, you could see something- or someone- in the distance.
A girl.
A young girl.
An extremely young girl.
Crying...?
You approached her slowly, cautious about your actions.
"Hey, are you alright?" You asked her, still confused on your given position.
She didn't move, and kept crying where she stood.
"...hello?" You greeted her again, trying to grab her attention.
More people started to appear, and more scenery, too...
You were in a play-ground. Children were eating, so you assumed it to be Lunch. They seemed to be eating and watching, as if the little girl's misery was pure entertainment.
There was something odd about the girl, but you couldn't quite make it out.
Your head perked up when you heard what the bullies were saying.
"Freak!" "Monster!" "Go jump off a cliff!" "You don't deserve to be called human!"
Oh.
There must be other humans out there like you, having powers. She was so young... you assumed she couldn't controll her powers.
"P-p-please, l-leave me be!" The young girl screamed out, still crying.
"Watcha gonna do? Kill us? Like the freak you are!" One mocked.
The rest laughed and continued to bully.
The poor girl had had enough, and flung her arms outward... tying everyone up in strange blue strings.
Her eyes filled with fear (they're pink???), she sobbed even harder, the surronding children starting to run from the poor girl.
You simply stood in shock from all of this, and instinctually rubbed on your necklace.
"I'm super glad I have this, now..." you admited.

As the world went back to normal, you gasped and was flung foward, not knowing what to make of what just happened.
"(y/n)! are you ok!?" Sans hollered, once seeing you move after over an hour.
"...I think so..." you said, rubbing your necklace. You shook your head. "I-it's nothing..."
"ok... whatever you say." He said, shrugging and helped you back up. You seemed to wooble a bit.
"...are you sure you're ok?" Sans asked again, obviously worried.
"I am now. Let's just focus on getting to that inn, dropping off that-" at the thought of the so-called important package, you realized it was no longer in your hands.
"...Sans?"
"yea?"
"Please tell me you've got the package."
"ok. 'you've got the package.'"
"Sans, I'm being serious. Where is it."
"you don't have it?"
"Not anymore..."
"hEhEhE, IdIOts!!!" A familiar, but much more demonic, voice came from behind you and Sans.
Frightened and shocked, the two of you slowly turned around to find...
Feathers.
With the package.
"H-hey! That's not your's!" You said, almost breaking on that whole "no using powers" thingy.
"hMmMm... wHaT'S tHaT SaYinG?? "F I N D E R S K E E P E R S , L O O S E R S W E E P E R S." Feathers taunted, holding out the mysterious item.
"LAst cHaNCe, gIVe HiM to mE!" She said, fiddling with the package.
"Wh-what?! Wait- no! We already went over this! Sans is not up for bargain!" You screamed, frustrated at the yellow bird.
"HmMmM... hOw AbOUt tHaT R O M A N C E N O V E L tHeN??" She cooed, eyeing the jacket.
"What, this?" You said, pulling out the book. It was titled- "'In The Books...' ... a romance novel? Called that?"
"(y/n), please, whatever you do, do not give her that book!" Sans begged, terrified of the novel.
"Sans, it's just a book. What harm can it do?" You said, looking back at Feathers.
"Deal."
"wElL- wait, really? You'll do it? Just like that? Awesome! Great, just gimme the book..." she said, reaching outwards.
"No. You give me the package first, and I'll hand over the book. You can't be trusted." You said, pulling back the novel.
"(y/n), you can't do this! you don't know how important that book is!" Sans pleaded.
"Ugh, fine. Here's the package." Feathers groaned, tossing you the item. "And the novel...?"
"I keep my deals." You said, handing her the book.
"hEhE- ahem. Great! Nice doing business with you." Feathers grinned, readying her arm to disappear like last time. "This is MuCh better then that skeleton..." she cooed, then with the wave of her arm, vanished.
"(y/n)!!! you idiot!!! i can't believe you right now! of all the stupid things to do-"
"Sans, stop whining over a book! You can always buy a new one with gold like that!!"
"you don't understand!" Sans said, his left (left? Right? It is his left, right? Wait- now I'm confusing myself...) eyesocket flaming blue. "you can't understand!! that was the only copy, and not only that, but that is an extremely special book! by giving to feathers- oh asgore i can't even imagine what horid things will happen!!!"
"What- is it a lemon or something? Come on Sans, a book can't be that important. At least I didn't sell you off, so you're welcome."
Sans growled. "yeah, i guess..."
"Good. Now, do you still have a bone to pick with me, or are we good."
"tibia honest, i don't think we're good, but with cheesy puns like those i'm sure it'll be guda." Sans remarked, lightening at the sound of a pun.
"Well, that's grate to hear." You said, his expression only lightening by the seconds.
"it'll be cheddar to not stop sense we're like butter and on a roll." Sans forgot about the book. His one weakness- puns.
"It'll wheaten the moment, that's for sure."
More puns came, and Sans was his cheery, but still calm and lazy, self again.
The two of you ventured further into the woods, holding tight to the package. But, something kept nagging at your brain, though you were still able to bring out the puns.
What was that book, and why was it so important to Sans?
(HMNNNNNNGGGGGGGH-- I BLAME YOU FEATHERS FOR INTRUDING
It still didn't change, so that's frustrating.
Hey, I'm actually speaking in my own book? This is a first...
Nope. Gimme that.
Ugh, fine...
Sorry 'bout that. Good ol' narrator back.
I BROUGHT YOU TO LIFE YOU JERK
Calm down...
Anyway, that just happened.)
