Merry LATE Christmas Everyone. I pulled together a Christmas update for you guys. Enjoy an update going over Pokemon I feel give off the Christmas Spirit. The update is late due to Wattpad being a bootyhole. Luckily the official site still works fine but the app is being a pain.

1. Delibird

Delibird is quite literally THE Santa Claus of the Pokemon universe. It's inspiration takes from Santa Clause from its red and white colors, how it appears to have a large white beard and how it carries around a sack full of presents. It even has a move 100% unique to itself called Present in which Delibird can toss a present at an enemy or teammate and heal them. Even in its pokedex entry it claims its the Santa Claus equivalent. Can't get anymore Christmas than this.

2. Stantler

Not only is Stantler a literal Reindeer, but in a three part Christmas special Pokemon made in 1999 called Pikachu's Winter Vacation, it featured Ash, Misty & Brock's Pokemon who stumble upon Santa in the woods of whom one of his Stantler grew sick. So their Pokemon go about the snowy mountain looking for medicinal herbs to help heal Santa's sick Stantler. Stantler IS Santa's reindeer canonically in the anime and therefore they're a Christmas symbol.

3. Galarian Darmanitan

Not only does Galarian Darmanitan look like a huge cuddly abominable snowman with a snowy beard much like Santa but it's Zen form transforms Darmanitan into an angry snowman! This is a wintery Pokemon for sure.

4. Chingling

Although many don't consider Chingling to be a Christmas Pokemon, this bell Pokemon reminds me of Jingle Bells! Not to forget the white and Red ribbon on the top of Chingling. Here we got a Jingle bell Pokemon!

5. Cryogonal

It's a huge snowflake, what else can I say?

6. Beartic

Beartic is a Polar Bear Pokemon. Do you guys know the big thing about Polar Bears? Coca Cola is responsible for what Santa Claus traditionally looks today as they hired Haddon Sundblom back in 1931 to help with the marketing of their Coke products. Sundblom illustrated festive posters for the Christmas Season depicting the Santa Clause we know and love today all the while advertising their products. Before Coca Cola began to use Santa in their seasonal advertising, they used Polar Bears! In 1922, Coke used Polar Bears to advertise their products and many who grew up in the 70s-90s vividly remember the Polar Bear Coke Commercials that ran during the holiday season. Although Coke sparingly advertises with their iconic Polar Bears anymore, I too will always think of Polar Bears and Christmas. Hence why Beartic reminds me of Christmas.

7. Snover

Snover is an adolescent Winter tree person. It sounds weird, but I've always found them to be oddly cute. On most official Pokemon Christmas art, a Snover is always present. I think of them as like cute miniature Christmas trees.

8. Snorunt

Snorunt is another ice type Pokemon that's a tiny Pokemon/person wrapped in a cloak. They reminds me of Inuit people who are known to inhabit the wintery climates of Canada.

9. Wyerdeer

Although I don't exactly see Wyerdeer as a winter Pokemon, Wyerdeer is based on an elk which are known to inhabit wintery regions. In Scarlet & Violet, Wyerdeer can be found as a knitted pattern on puffball hats! These knitted patterns remind me of the knitted artisenal sweaters you wear around christmas.

10. Alolan Sandshrew

It looks like an igloo! It's so cute and wintery!
