(REPUBLISHED BECAUSE I JUST UNPUBLISHED MY BOOK AND REPUBLISHED IT)

hey,,, you guys....

it's been another hot minute. don't mind the title change, this is the first step to rewriting this fic. this used to be "the gap" but i think this new title fits the story better.

after a lot of mulling it over, i think i'm gonna rewrite this fic. i just wasn't happy with now [name] and sting + rogue's relationship was heading... and i don't think i had enough time to space out an enemies to friends to lovers before team tenrou comes back.

like... YOU GUYS WANTED TO KILL STING AND ROGUE MORE THAN [NAME] DID YOU GUYS WERE NOT HAPPY LMAO

also... i'm rereading the chapters over again and [name] is acting like a bitch...

here's a few changes i'm gonna make:

a. edit sting and rogue's dynamic with [name], give them a history, a reason to bond

b. tone down [name]'s... explosive personality (i swear she won't be rude for no reason anymore)

c. sting and rogue will play a crucial part in [name]'s therapy because she FUCKING NEEDS IT

d. spend more time with [name] irl than in the letters (because the letters are from her point of view, meaning her pov might be biased)

e. refine grammar, clean up the writing to make for a better reading experience

f. HOPEFULLY speed things up even more

things i'm gonna keep:

a. letters, [name] will still be sending letters and she will still resent team tenrou to the very core

b. [name]'s backstory will remain the same, as will her illusion magic (+ inferiority complex)

c. the plot will remain roughly the same as well, from losing the gmg to [name] finding a mentor to practice magic with

and that's it! tomorrow i'm gonna be unpublishing these chapters and the first real update will happen on the 8th of June. i've found my motivation to write again and if that means starting from scratch, then so be it.
