Backstory: Shay grew up in a household full of boys. They most certainly weren't wealthy, and were a little more on the lower middle class. Six years after Shay had been born, her mother had passed away leaving the rest of the family to mourn and pick up the pieces eventually from where they left off slowly. In a way, Shay became like a mother to her brothers despite the part of her being younger than they were, to keep the family together and to just try to keep a calm enough household so everything wouldn't fall apart.
