᪥ Chapter Eighteen
"behave son," the king scolded when Jaemin didn't stop fidgeting on his spot as he grumbled some incoherent words. "You're meeting your future queen today." He reminds.
The crowned prince scoffed, "if I like her, which will never happen." He said taking a glance at his lover who was standing behind him and behaving better than him.
"You will like her, she's pretty and royalty." The king protests trying to convince his son as he gazed at the crowned prince's royal servant.
"That doesn't do much for me I'm afraid," Jaemin said earning a small chuckle from his mother. "I'm just stating this will be a waste of time father, good luck." He added sarcastically at the end.
Soon, a white carriage stopped right at the front of the castle as a footman walked over to open the small doors politely.
A lady with a yellow puffy gown steps down as she had a full makeup look matching it with her countless of shimmery jewelries on her body.
Jaemin hates her already.
To back up with his reasonings later, he bit back a frown when the princess didn't accept the footman's polite hand to help her as she leaves him behind to carry her pet cat which seems to be untamed.
"It's lovely to meet you, your majesty," the king from the other kingdom greets as his daughter was looking around with the slightest disgust on her face. "Very kind of you to give us this opportunity."
"The pleasure is all mine," Jaemin's father said grinning widely and looks at the princess. "Lovely to meet you darling, so very pretty I must say," he compliments.
The princess smiled and bowed down a bit, "why thank you, your highness," she said and introduces herself to Jaemin who looked unpleased. "Pleasure to meet you prince Jaemin, I'm princess Jada."
(A/N: Jada as in Jay-da)
The crowned prince only remained silent and still, not even twitching a small polite smile towards the other royal family. This is absurd.
Jeno pursed his lips and shuffles to his side whispering quickly, "be nice love," he said before moving back on his spot and gave a smile at the guests.
He only received a smile from the king back while the princess glared at him, seemingly disgusted and annoyed at what he did or what she had just saw.
Jaemin didn't fail to notice and had to restrain himself on cussing at Jada, he sighs and stands up straight rolling his shoulders back as he does so. "Nice to meet you Jada," he said curtly.
The queen cleared her throat knowing well that her son is now in a bad mood, not wanting to worsen his day. She decided to just get this over with, "shall you two start your one day together?"
"I'd rather just back down from the throne," the crowned prince muttered earning a glare from the king as Jeno coughed awkwardly behind him. He sighs as he nodded, "the sooner, the better."
Jada smiled happily as she was already looking forward to a day with Jaemin and possibly make the latter fall in love with her as she becomes his queen.
Well sucks to be her because she already had a bad first impression towards the crowned prince. It was all bad while it lasted.

"Do you often go to the market and but things?" Was Jada's weird question towards the crowned prince who already knew what she meant by that.
They were at the garden, walking around for a bit as Renjun excused that the village was packed for some reason and it wouldn't be too enjoyable if there's other people ruining their only date.
It's never enjoyable for Jaemin if he's just going to be by Jada's surroundings when he's not even having a slight interest on her.
And it was not that much big of a difference since they're not 100% alone. Jeno is still with them, following behind with slow light footsteps to leave them a bit of space.
"Hello? Are you even listening to me?" Jada complained as they slowed their movements and stopped at the nearby fountain on the middle of the garden.
Jaemin sighed, "yes Jada, I am listening to every word you are babbling about but chose not to reply back as a sign for you to know that I have no interest on whatever this arrangement is."
The princess huffed, "so very rude of the crowned prince towards his future queen." She stated.
The elder rolled his eyes, "so very delusional for a spoiled princess to expect that she can get anything especially being the crowned prince's queen when he isn't even interested."
Jada glared, "this is supposed to be a date and you're supposed to be nice to me," she grits before glancing at Jeno who was watching them with furrowed eyebrows. "And why does this whack have to follow us around like a dog?" She spat.
Jaemin then glared back fuming with his teeth gritted, "corrections, this is a forced arrangement. a possibility that will never happen after I announce my decision later."
"I don't have to be nice to you when you can't even be nice around my people," he said sternly before walking over to Jeno wrapping his arm around him.
"and lastly, this beautiful boy over here is no whack, he is everything that you'll never be. He is the only one that I want, not someone like you," he continued angrily.
Jada gasps realizing the relationship between the crowned prince and his royal servant. "You're dating?!" She exclaimed in disgust.
Jeno pursed his lips blushing in embarrassment as he patted Jaemin's bicep to calm him down, "this is disgusting! Men can't fall in love with each other!" Jada continued.
The crowned prince scoffed, "then I guess we'll be changing history," he said resulting a shy Jeno beside him as he bit back a smile.
"You're out of your mind Jaemin! You're supposed to be with me! Not him!" The princess stated pointing an accusing finger towards the shy servant.
"Seol!" A voice called as the three turned to look at the footman and Mark trying to catch Jada's pet cat which was running away.
Seol ran towards them and circled around her owner's legs as the princess stepped back losing balance and fell down the fountain with an earful shriek.
Seol continued to run away trying to find a hiding spot as the footman and Mark tried to help the shrieking Jada get out of the fountain while Jaemin was just standing there watching them.
Once Jada was out of the fountain while crying about how her look was now messy thanks to her "annoying cat". Jaemin turns to look at Jeno who was carefully approaching the feline.
Seol was behind a bush, bowing her head down with a growl in defense as the pretty boy crouched down to reach his hand making her hiss at him.
Jeno pulled back slightly and tilts his head, "I'm not going to hurt you sweetie," he said softly not forcing his hand to touch the feline pet.
A rustle was heard as the royal servant's proclaimed pet raccoon approached them easily, not afraid at the pretty boy.
The raccoon climbed up to the boy's lap and snuggled up on him as the cat sniffed before watching Jeno run his fingers gently on the animal's fur.
Seol slowly crawled over in curiosity before meowing, Jeno smiles and carefully reaches his other hand to scratch her ears resulting a purr.
"See? I won't hurt you," he giggled as Mark, the footman and Jaemin walked over leaving Jada whine in the nearby bench alone.
"You caught her! Thank you Jeno!" The footman exclaimed happily.
"Woah, how do you do that? You're good!" Mark said in amazement at the simplest thing.
Jaemin smiled crouching down to look at his shy lover, "you're amazing as always dotori," he winked and pecked his forehead resulting a squeal from his staffs and a blush on Jeno's cheeks.
