᪥ Chapter Eleven

Jaemin was at the garden again training for swording with Mark while his father was watching with full observation and a strict look in his eyes.

"Focus Jaemin!" The King scolds once the crowned prince missed another hit again.

Jaemin grunts and shook his head trying to get his focus back on as he gets into position grasping the metal sword tightly in his palm.

Mark pursed his lips and lets the younger attack first as Jaemin's arm became sloppy from the lack of energy.

The trainer fights back with ease as his composure was kept and his defenses were on point. He then swerves to the side ignoring Jaemin's annoyed look when his sword didn't even nearly touched Mark's body.

The round soon finished early with Mark swaying the sword to the right as it makes contact with Jaemin's own weapon and letting it flew away from the younger's tight hold as it lands on the grass.

Jaemin groans and runs a hand through his hair as he pants trying to catch his breath.

"Enough!" The King called out as he stood up, "Jaemin, go take a walk and get your focus back on. You're failing every move for the past hour or two," he adds.

Mark nodded with agreement, "I suggest that too sire, your moves are good but your energy and time reaction are just lacking," he advised.

"I'm trying!" The crowned prince yelled in frustration making Mark flinch a little bit. The boy then rubs his temples and grabs the sword.

"Jaemin! Don't raise your voice," the King scolds snatching the sword away from his son's hold. He then points to the main garden using the sword with a strict look, "go get your senses back before you can even continue this practice."

The crowned prince scoffed and stomps away from the practice area and heads towards the main garden to "get his senses" back or whatever that's supposed to mean.

He then abruptly stops at the sight of a certain brunet boy crouching down on the ground seemingly with someone, it then shook the crowned prince a little bit when he saw that "someone" was the Queen.

What was she doing there? And why is she with Jeno?

Jaemin then quietly walks over with curiosity as he eavesdrops on their conversation, "how long have you known these things darling?" The Queen asked politely.

Jeno hums as he finishes wrapping a long leaf around a raccoon's leg and caresses the now tamed animal, "my father has taught me many things since I was a tod your majesty."

The Queen hums as she slowly pets the raccoon as well, a little surprised that the animal didn't make a move to attack her.

"Fascinating," she murmured smiling at the young boy beside her as the lad smiled back shyly. "You remind me of a fictional character Jeno-ssi, a certain type that loves nature and mostly known for it." She compliments.

The young servant's ears perked up a bit and tilts his head, "oh? Who is it? May I ask your majesty," he asked picking the raccoon up in his arms.

The Queen giggled and beckons him to come closer as he follows suit before cuddling the raccoon up in his arms with the said animal not even bothered as if it was a normal house pet.

"You dear, remind me of my favorite fictional princess," The Queen starts before picking a flower up in her fingers and twirling it around to examine the petals. "You're like Pocahontas sweetheart," she said.

Jeno tilts his head, "I beg your pardon?" He asked not knowing a single clue on what the royal majesty has said.

The woman chuckled, "you don't know who she is don't you?" She guesses with her tone soft as if they were sharing secrets together, which is sort of like that.

The brunet boy shook his head, "my apologies your majesty, but I do not know who Pocahontas is," he said scratching the raccoon's tummy.

"No need for apologies dear, it is not your fault," the Queen said as she smiled at the young servant. "But I do suggest for you to read her story book in the library, sir Doyoung probably knows where it's located," she adds.

Jeno nodded taking mental notes as he was very interested on who this Pocahontas is, does he really act like her? Hm, weird.

The Queen then sighed, "eavesdropping now are we Jaemin-ssi?" She said not even bothering to turn around to look at her son.

The crowned prince flinched at his mother's words, not expecting to be caught that easily. "Ah, sorry mom," he said scratching his nape.

Jeno blushed at the mentioned name and stands up helping the Queen as well, the woman pats her dress as she stood up straight.

"Why are you here sweetie? Don't you have practice as of now?" She asked approaching her son and giving him a hug.

Jaemin accepted the pair of arms before sighing, "just needed to find my senses back," he shrugged.

The Queen hums patting his shoulder, "well I think you've definitely found your way to it," she said in a playful tone before winking and heading back inside.

Jaemin widens his eyes and turns around watching his mother walk out of the main garden leaving only him and his servant alone.

He didn't bother to ask yet if his mother knows something, he knows that the right time to do that is when they're alone.

"So, how was training?" Jeno asked shyly making Jaemin let out a chuckle and cooed when his lover was still holding the raccoon in his arms like a baby.

"Awful," the elder sighed watching his beloved place the raccoon down back on the ground as the said animal just sat there waiting to be picked up again.

"Oh? How so?" The younger brunet asked walking into Jaemin's arms as he drapes his arms on the elder's shoulders playing with the hair on his nape.

"I wasn't focused enough, I kept failing," Jaemin said disappointed in himself and also a little irritated at his father's scoldings.

Jeno pouts, "don't say that honey," he said pulling the elder closer. "I'm sure you're trying your very best, maybe you're just tired. But you are definitely not failing okay?" He said.

The crowned prince smiled at the younger boy, he pecks his nose affectionately as the boy's cheeks turned rosy red. "Mother was right, you're very much like Pocahontas," he said.

"Eung?" The servant tilts his head, "you've read the story?" He asked earning a chuckle before Jaemin nodded in reply. "Will you read it with me still?" He asked.

"Of course sweetheart," Jaemin said pecking his lips as they both just enjoyed their little moment together deep inside the main garden full of flowers and a raccoon just watching them.

"I have to go back now," the elder said pulling away remembering he still has practice today and chuckling to see his lover's face starting to change.

"So soon?" Jeno pouts not wanting to end their moment quickly and almost giggling when his now self claimed pet raccoon was just hugging his leg.

Jaemin laughed, "we'll continue later tonight doll," he winked as Jeno brightens up before cupping his cheeks. "I love you," the elder said as their lips connected.

Jeno hummed in delight into their kiss as he mumbles back, "I love you too babe," he said making the pair of arms around him tightened up as he just smiled even wider.
