Chapter 15

Yuri's POV

We basically spent the whole day avoiding each other. But it seemed like as if Jessica was ignoring me rather than avoiding me. I couldn't really figure out if she remembers kissing me last night or not. I also couldn't figure out how she ended up sleeping with Tiffany.

"Yuri, come over here," our manager oppa called me over. "What happened to your head and arm?" He points at my bruises.

I touch my forehead where I bumped my head on the doorknob. "I fell off the bed last night."

"Good thing we only have a radio show today. Ok, go to your seat. We're about to go on air."

Because of my bruises, I was the only member that got assigned a seat. I'm sitting all the way at the end of the table and far away from the camera. The other girls began to pull out chairs to sit down and Jessica chose to sit at the other end of the table.

Seeing our matching group outfits reminded me of the incident this morning. Jessica and I were the last ones to wake up. When we both came out of the room half asleep, Hyoyeon and a few others were laughing at us --pointing at our couple wear. Could it be that Jessica's mad about that?

I feel somebody tapping me on my leg and they whisper "Intro".

Remembering where I am again, I try to sound all energetic. "Oh! Hello! I'm SNSD's Black Pearl, Yuri!"

After my introduction, they play our song "Kissing You" and my face immediately starts to turn red. I lean forward to look at Jessica and she's staring out the window not seeming to be affected by the song. I lick my lips and then bring my fingers to where Jessica's kiss left them tingling still.

After the song finished playing, we resumed our interview. The whole time I kept stealing glances at Jessica. Even the host asked me why I kept looking over there when he was sitting in front of me.

"Because the camera is over there." I tried to cover up. I then pretended to wave at the camera. As I did that, Jessica finally looked at me once today. And she waved back with a smile.

Whether she's pretending the kiss never happened last night or forgot that it happened, it doesn't matter anymore. I think it'll be less awkward this way. She was probably dreaming and thought I was Daniel Henney. Plus, not having the Ice Princess around isn't as fun. But why did it seem like as if she's mad at me?

After we got dismissed from the show, I caught up with Jessica.

"Hi!"

"Oh, Yuri. Hi..."

Being the direct person that I am, I asked her if I did anything to upset her.

She was quiet for a bit before replying. "Why didn't you sleep on your bed last night? I had a nightmare and you weren't there."

Was that why she slept with Tiffany? I stare at Jessica in disbelief. I was in the same room! Why didn't she look for me instead!

"You could've woken me up," I said in a rather upset tone. But I realized that Tiffany is afterall closer to her than I am.

I felt ashamed thinking that she would choose me over Tiffany so I quickly added, "But Fany is of course a better comforter."

"So why were you with them last night?"

Out of all the lying that I've been doing lately, I didn't want to lie to her. "We had to talk about some things, " was all I said before pulling her into the van.

While Hyoyeon and Taeyeon were busy preparing dinner, I gathered my team into my room to discuss the next step in the plan.

"We have to do this while Jessica's napping, otherwise she would get suspicious," I tell them.

"Well, what's the ultimate goal here? To get Sica unnie a date with Kevin oppa?" Yoona asked.

"No, Yoong. The goal is to get Sica unnie closer to Yuwree and we could do that by helping her romance situation."

"Well answered, Fany. So any suggestions as to what to I could do next?" I asked.

Sooyoung shoots her hand up. "You could call Kevin pretending that you have an English question to ask him. Then you pass the phone over to Sica and let them talk. When they hang up, you two could gossip about it. Girls love gossiping." I don't like that idea. "And that's how you bond."

"Or unnie could just ask Sica unnie the questions herself."

"I could do that. We could also bond that way."

"No!" Tiffany and Sooyoung both scream out.

"Yuwree, that would require you to learn English."

"And you have no time to learn English."

"And Jessica doesn't have time to teach you English." The two of them rationalize back and forth.

"So then what other suggestions do you two have?" They're both silent. "Yoong gets the point this time then."

I head over to the whiteboard and draw a vertical line under Yoona's initial. Meanwhile, Yoona is teasing her two unnies about winning this round.

Sooyoung's battle with Yoona continues at the table. Everything that Yoona picks up, or so tries to pick up, gets knocked out of her chopsticks and Sooyoung grabs it. Instead of mediating, Taeyeon was busy eating her own cooked meal.

Seeing how helpless our maknae was, I picked up a piece of chicken and placed it in Yoong's bowl. Sooyoung glared at me with her mouth opened wide in shock. Other than her, I'm quite sure Jessica gave me one of her pouting/mad looks. I ignore both of them and continue to pick up food for Yoona as she teases Sooyoung by sticking her tongue out. My twin is so cute.

Once Yoona finished what I placed in her bowl, which wasn't long, the two resumed their battle --except this time, there was a new contender. We've all stopped eating to watch the three fight over food, but it was always the same person that won. All she had to do was shoot them one her icy glares and the other two would pull back their chopsticks.

"Haha! Jessica, that's a great way to stop these two Shiksins from fighting." I award her by placing the biggest piece of chicken in her bowl.

"Uhh... Sure, I was mediating. Thanks." She blushes a tomato red.

"Yeah, Sica. Even our leader didn't do anything."

"Oh be quiet, Sunny! I wanted them to grow up and learn on their own. It's called self-learned behavior."

"Who are you saying needs to grow up?" Yoona exclaimed.

"Yeah! If anybody needs to grow up, it's you --vertically that is." Sooyoung and Yoona give each other a high-five while everybody at the table is getting a good laugh out of it, including Taeyeon.

"And you see. They're now friends again. Leaders help unite... At their own expense though."

After dinner, I see Tiffany pull Jessica into her room. I wonder what that little winking mushroom is up to.
