Summer: the hottest of the four temperate seasons, the heat is very suffocating and sweltering, that's why the gang are going to the beach to beat the heat.

"Seriously, I'm so glad we could all came" Coach Ukai said while lifting the cooler in his shoulders.

"Yeah, I bet this trip would be fun" Sugawara said as he let out a laugh.

"Um...why am I invited too? I mean, I'm not a coach or anything" Arisu asked politely to Ukai.

"Well, your always in the gym to support the players and help the girls, so why not? The more the merrier" He explained to the blonde.

"Yes, thank you" She said softly.

"Summer is about to end, we should have fun in the beach to our hearts content!" Nishinoya said loudly.

"Yeah, and beach is the perfect location--woah, that swimsuited babe is gorgeous" Tanaka said as he spotted a pretty lady in bikini.

"I'll be the first~!" Hinata chirped as he ran to the beach hurriedly.

"Wha--wait a moment!" Kageyama said as he began to run too, they were racing against each other.

"They get along too well, don't they?" Arisu said as she sweat drop.

"Yes, I agree with you Kisaragi-san" Yachi said as she sweat drop.

Arisu, Yachi, and Shimizu were finally done changing their swimsuits, they were about to walk outside the comfort room when Yachi hid.

"Hitoka-chan, let's go" Shimizu called the short blonde haired girl.

"I don't want to...it's too embarrassing!" She said while slightly shaking.

"What are you talking about? You look really cute, Yachi-chan!" Arisu said as she pulled Yachi with her.

"I-I'm too embarrassed to walk in open like this!" Yachi said.

She began to shake while seating on the cement as her lips were quivering, watching this side of hers made Arisu and Shimizu sweat drop.

"What should we do about her, Shimizu-senpai?" Arisu asked turning to the black haired beauty.

"I don't know...She's always like this" Shimizu said as she let out an awkward laugh.

In the end, somewhat Arisu and Shimizu managed to drag Yachi outside as she was quivering.

"Oh I know, I'll get you two some ice cream, wait for me here okay?" Arisu said as Shimizu nodded.

The blonde girl walked through the beach as somewhat she captured some of the peoples' attention by barely walking.

"Whoa, she's a beauty!"

"A swimsuited babe!"

"What a pretty person she is"

Was what they said, Arisu ignored the stares as she just kept walking, rather nervously because of the stares.

Why do I always capture peoples' attention in every where I go?!

She let out a sigh, as she just continued to walk through.

Nevermind, I should just buy some ice cream and go back to Yachi-chan and Shimizu-senpai.

Hinata's Pov.

"The girls sure are late" Noya-senpai said while seating on the sand.

"Your right, I wonder what Kiyoko-san would look like in a swimsuit?" Tanaka-senpai said as him and Noya-senpai began to imagine Shimizu-san in swimsuits and they blushed.

"Beautiful, but I bet Arisu-san is more prettier!" Noya-senpai said.

"No, no, Yachi-san is also cute, I bet she's prettier!" Tanaka-senpai said.

They just argue against each other as I averted my gaze to somewhere else,.

My eyes widened to the view I just saw, it was Arisu walking through the beach, seeing her in those clothes made me blush.

"Hey isn't that Arisu?" Kageyama said as I nodded while my gaze is still on her.

"Let's go pick her up" I heard him say and began to run as I also did.

I've saw some people looking at her and talking about her, fawning her looks and beauty.

Well...I can't say she's not pretty.

"Arisu!" I yelled, she turned to me--heck I almost fainted from the way she looked at me.

"Shouyou-kun! Tobio-kun!" She said with a friendly smile on her face.

"Where are the other girls?" Kageyama asked her, as I noticed her cheeks were slight red, she's blushing.

"U-Uh...I was with them earlier, and was about to buy ice cream when" She trailed her sentence as she averted her gaze from him.

"Were you lost?" He asked as she sweat dropped bullets.

"Figures, a idiot like you is easy to get lost" Kageyama said.

"Wha--I'm not an idiot!" She said while her eyebrow knitted.

"You are" He added.

"I'm not!" She whined.

Somehow, I can't bring myself to talk to her...they're too tight.

"Hey, we should go back to the others first, Ukai-san ha something to say" I said while grabbing her wrist.

"B-But, how about Yachi-chan and Shimizu-senpai?" She asked.

"I'll go get them, you two go back first" Kageyama said as he started running.

"Wa--" Before she could say her statement, Kageyama was out of sight.

"There he goes, jeez...can't he at least compliment me?" She pouted and I swear, it was damn adorable.

"Sorry Arisu, but Coach Ukai has something to say, let's go?" I said as she could only nodded.

We began to walk in silence while I was holding her wrist, I glance at her to see her looking down, sadly.

"Just a little longer...you'll be with him" I said, cheering her up.

"You'll help me, right?" She asked me as hope was written in her eyes.

"Yeah, anything for you" I said.

I promise this time, you'll be with him.

"We'll play volleyball!" Coach Ukai announced.

So that's what he wanted to say?

"The losing team will cook dinner plus cleaning the trash after eating, the winning team, of course you'll take no part of it, pretty simple right?" He explained as we all nodded.

"Here are the list of groups, there are some who wouldn't play though" Shimizu-san said as we looked at the drawing.

We were assigned in two groups, me and Kageyama as the captains, Coach Ukai positioned the net between two teams, as we went to our base.

"This time, I'll beat you Kageyama!" I yelled while pointing my index finger towards him.

"Beat me if you can, Hinata" He said while he has a smug on his face.

Then a loud shrill pierced the air as the game started, the first one to serve is out team and it was me.

"Nice serve, Shouyou" Noya-senpai said as I hit the ball with my arm as we watched it went up in the air and landed on the other side.

Kageyama tossed it as Asahi-san as he spiked it excellently, no one manage to shield it from falling.

Then his team scored one point as they rejoice while we were in vain.

"We'll score the next one!" I yelled they agreed.

It's been awhile since we started the game, it was the third set now, 29-30, were 29points and they are 30points.

"Hang in there, Tobio-kun!" Arisu cheered for him as it made his spirits went up.

Me on the other hand, was in the edge and didn't liked to lose...

"Fight, Tobio-kun!" she yelled as she was rooting for their team.

No, don't look at him...look at me!

They served the ball as I ran for it, I could hear a faint voices of my team saying to stop running, but I ignored it and hit the ball.

"Look at me...just at me" I mumbled as I kept hitting the ball even if it didn't wasn't meant for me.

A loud shrill pierced the air as it halted my breathing while it restrained my movements.

"Team Kageyama won the match!" Coach Ukai announced as I looked at the score board--his right.

It was 29-33 for us and them, Kageyama's team cheered happily as we utterly defeated, we lost.

No way...we lost?

I fell on the ground, even if this isn't a official match, it hurts to be defeated.

I ran away, so bitter that I've lost because of these unknown feelings, making me unstable.

I hate this feeling...

Normal Pov.

Hinata run away because they're team lost, he felt responsible of they're defeat, making him regret it.

"Sorry but, could you chase him for us, Kisaragi?" Coach Ukai asked the blonde as she nodded in reply.

She ran to find him, but before she did she bought first an ice cream, chocolate and vanilla flavours.

"Where could he be?" Arisu mumbled while holding an ice cream in her hands and roaming her eyes around the place.

Then she spotted a orange haired boy sitting on the rocks near the water, he seems to be sulking, she walked towards him gently.

"So this is where you went" Arisu said as Hinata didn't turned to her as his gaze was locked on the sea.

He just kept quiet, as her lips curved in a smile while looking at the orange haired boy.

"Can I seat next to you?" She asked as he only nodded, still not looking.

She sat beside him as silence engulfed them, she handed him an chocolate flavour ice cream making him turn to look at her.

"Here have some, it's delicious" Arisu said as Hinata grabbed the cone from her hands and gripped it.

"What are you doing here?" He mumbled loud enough for her to hear.

"Ukai-san said to chase you, so here I am...do I look like a nuisance to you?" She stated, as she clutched the cone that is supporting the ice cream.

He didn't replied, he just lowered his head down as he licked the ice cream.

"You should've had stay there and complimented Kageyama instead of consoling me here" Hinata said.

"Yeah...I wish I did" She started, as Hinata's eyes slightly widened.

"But, I chose to stay here beside you for now"Arisu finished.

Hinata turned to Arisu as she smiled gently at him, making him blush.

"Hey, what happened earlier? That isn't like you" Arisu asked mentioning the past events.

"I don't even know myself, but this part really hurt...it hurt so much that I can't handle it" Hinata calmly explained as he pointed his index finger on his chest.

"Why did it hurt?" She asked.

You supported him more than I am.

There's no way he can say that, can he? If he has guys, he might.

"I don't know" He said as he finished eating the ice cream that Arisu gave him.

"If there is something troubling you, tell me...I want to help you" She said as she looked directly in his eyes, locking her gaze with his.

Really...Kageyama has everything, doesn't he? If I were him, I would always make her happy...

"I appreciate your kindness but, this is something I must deal with myself" He said while turning to her.

"Alright" Arisu replied.

Why wouldn't you open up with me? Just let me help you...

"Shouyou! Arisu-san!" Nishinoya yelled causing them to turned to him.

"Noya-senpai!" Hinata said as he stood up and begun run towards him.

Arisu followed them, as she stared at Hinata's retreating figure.

He pretended like nothing happened...

The losing team were the ones cooking lunch, right now they're grilling fish.

Arisu stood there, bored as she let out a sigh while looking at the sky.

Isn't there something good to do?

Then she noticed Yachi alone in the sand, a smile curved her lips as she approached her.

"Yachi-chan" Arisu said making Yachi flinched when she heard her name.

"Y-You scared me, Kisaragi-san" She said as she sighed making Arisu giggled by her reactions.

Yachi was very skilled at building sand, to the point she made a castle.

"Wow, your good at this" Arisu said.

"Thank you, this is the only thing I could do here, since I can't swim" Yachi answered rather shyly.

"Oh, so your a bad swimmer huh? Same here" She said as she sat beside her with a smile on her face.

"I saw you buy a good luck charm at the Festival...do you have someone you like?" Yachi asked with hesitance in her tone.

"E-Eh? Yeah, I have" Arisu said while her cheeks are bright red.

"Who is it?" Yachi asked, slightly intrigued in knowing.

Arisu bit her lips as her face was flushed bright red, hearing this from her is making her embarrassed.

"Promise you won't tell?" She said.

"I promise I won't tell a soul" She answered honestly.

Arisu took a deep breathe before speaking, she opened her lips as the name of the guy he likes came out.

"Kageyama Tobio-kun" She said.

"Eh? You like Kageyama---?!" Arisu hurriedly covered her lips with her hands as she was blushing.

"Shh! Be quiet" She hissed as Yachi nodded, then he released her lips.

Thank goodness the one that she likes is not him...I'm relieved.

"I see, I thought the one you like is Hinata" Yachi said making Arisu in pokerface as Yachi panicked in her reaction.

"Y-You two are so close! So I thought" She said, as Arisu laughed.

"I do like him, in a friendly way though" She added.

"In a friendly way, huh?" Yachi mumbled while touching the sand.

"How about you, do you have someone you like, Yachi-chan?" She asked as it was her turned to blush.

"I-It's a secret!" She said making Arisu groan.

"Eh? Stingy! Tell me~" She pleaded her to tell her who she likes.

"Maybe sometime I'll tell you" Yachi said.

Wait, the reason she doesn't tell me who she likes...does she also has a crush on Tobio-kun?!

"You...don't have a crush on Tobio-kun, right?" She said, rather glum.

"N-No, I don't have a crush on him" The shorter haired blonde said.

Thank goodness...

"Who's the closest guy friend you have in the team?" Yachi asked.

"Hmm...I think the closest friend of mine is Shouyou-kun" Arisu said.

"We're the same, Hinata is a amazing person isn't he?" Yachi said while she looks up to a specific diretion, making Arisu turn to that direction as well.

"Yes" She replied.

They're view was Hinata talking to his teammates while smiling happily.

"The reason why I fell in love with him is his smile" Yachi said.

"Yes, I see--HUH?!" Arisu was shocked in what she just heard.

The one that she's crushing on is...

"I'm in love with him" She said.

WHAT?! Seriously...?

"S-Since when?" Arisu asked.

"When he helped me mustered courage to tell my mother what I feel" Yachi explained as her cheeks turned bright red while a smile was tugging on her lips.

Yachi-chan is really cute when she's inlove, huh?

She felt her chest be engulfed by flames, as it burned her.

What is this feeling? It hurts...
