Kageyama's Pov.

I knew from the start that Arisu wasn't really in love with me despite she confessed to me, it surprised me.

I'm delighted that she felt that way for me, but I rejected her feelings of love.

I'm was always watching them so I know that they have feelings for each other, and yet I can't accept that...until I rejected her.

Her smile towards Hinata...she never let me see that kind of smile, there was a difference with the smile she gave me and Hinata.

"So, why didn't you accepted Kisaragi-chan's feelings?" Sugawara-san asked me as we were fixing our stuffs after practice.

"That's...I don't know" I admitted honestly as I heard some of our teammates leave for home.

The skies are dark outside as it was past 7'o clock, it was getting late so Coach Ukai dismissed us.

"Hey Arisu, did I do good today's practice?" Hinata asked Arisu, as he was fixing his stuff, yet he wasn't with me and Sugawara-san, he was on the bleachers.

"Yes, your jumps are so cool" She said with a smile on her face, as Hinata's face began steamed.

"Thank you" He replied with a soft smile as he kept his gaze on her.

Sugawara-san seems to notice my pained expression, as he tapped my shoulder while I turned to him.

"Let's talk about this outside, okay?" He said as I nodded.

~•♥️•~

I looked up as I saw the moon smiling down on me, while the night was still young yet so dark and cold.

"So, why did you rejected Arisu's feelings when you regretted it?" He asked me with a hint of gentleness in his voice.

I looked on the grass as I was stepping on it with my shoes, I just kept my head lowered down.

"Because I knew Arisu doesn't really have feelings for me" I answered as I was kind of sad.

"But, she confessed to you, right?" He asked me as I nodded in reply.

"Yes, she did...but, I can't feel her love in the confession" I answered.

"What do you mean?" He asked me once more, as I bit my lower lip.

"Even I know that she is in love with that idiot Hinata" I said.

"Yeah, everyone knows...except Hinata and Kisaragi-chan, herself"
He said as I stayed in silence.

There was a moment of silence between us as the wind slapped my face with a weak hit.

"But, you do love her, right?" He asked again as a smile curved my lips.

"Yeah, I love her...I really do" I said as I looked up to the sky.

"So, why...?" I know his confused, as everything was now clear to me.

"She's just confused in what she feels about me and Hinata, she still hasn't realised that she isn't in love with me" I said with my lips quivering a bit.

"W-What? I don't understand" He said as he looked at me with a confused expression.

"If I accept her feelings, she wouldn't be happy being with me...she'll just be upset" I said as somehow I could feel my heart cracked.

"How are you so sure? It might be the opposite" He interjected.

"Because I know the both of them are in love with each other...I thought this will be the best" I said.

"So, your going to continue this? Aren't you going to tell her that you like her?" He asked me.

"Of course not, she's in love with someone else...and that someone else isn't me, it will put her on spot if I did" I explained as my gaze was still fixated on the skies.

"Making sure I have no regrets, that would just be self serving, nothing more" I said, as I stuffed my hands in my pockets.

"I know, but...still!" He said as I smiled, still not looking at him.

"It's alright, Sugawara-san. I've decided to take this unrequited love, it's unfortunate, but I'm fine with that" I finished, as I turned to him with a sincere look in my eyes.

"Sugawara! Come here for a bit!" We heard Coach Ukai called for Sugawara-san.

"Coming! I'll go for a bit, Kageyama" He said as I nodded, then he ran to the gym quickly.

I did what I think is right, I'm not in wrong...am I?

I heard a thump from my back, I turned my head and my eyes widened in shock as I saw the one who witnessed us.

His eyes were wide opened as well, it was clear he was shocked...and I suspect that his been here from the start, listening.

"So, you were listening...Hinata?" I said, as I couldn't see his eyes now because it was being covered by his orange hair.

He didn't replied as he was still looking on the ground in silence as I saw him balled his fist.

"How much did you heared?" I asked him, still looking at him.

"All of it, right from the start" He answered quietly, and I can see he is really angry right now.

From all people who could hear it...why did it have to be Hinata?

Normal Pov.

"You rejected her feelings because you think she's in love with me? Bull shit! All she could ever talk about with me is you" Hinata yelled, as Kageyama's eyes widened.

"W-What...?" Kageyama mumbled.

"She's in love with you, dumbass!" He yelled again, as this sentence that he said hurt him.

"She isn't in love with me, got it? Because your the one she loves!" He yelled as this time he tackled him, fighting with him.

He and Kageyama never fought against each other, except those times when they can't understand each other with volleyball related.

But once, they never fought about a girl...this girl isn't your ordinary girl, she was special to them.

"What do you know about Arisu? She was always chasing you and asking me to help her for opportunities with you!" Hinata yelled as he smacked Kageyama on the face.

"Your the one who doesn't get it! All of us know that you two have feelings have for each other, except you guys!" Kageyama yelled as it was his turn to smack him on the face.

Both of them are fighting because of a one girl's heart, hilarious isn't it?

Hinata and Kageyama have lots of things in common, don't you think so too?

I mean--both of them are dumb, loves to play volleyball, and has passion to win against strong teams...

...Heck, they even liked the same girl.

It's like a Shoujou manga where the two male protagonist fight for the female protagonist's heart.

"Shouyou-kun, Tobio-kun, stop it!" Arisu yelled, trying to stop the two from fighting.

The two didn't paid attention to the girl as they kept fighting, making Arisu feel more uncomfortable.

"Yachi-chan, call some help!" Arisu hurriedly asked Yachi, who was with her, nodded.

"Yes, Kisaragi-san!" Yachi said as he ran to call someone to stop the boys.

Arisu could only watched them fight from a short distance, she was afraid that she might get hit...after all they're boys that are using violence.

"Please stop fighting!" Arisu yelled, still they didn't stop as they continue tossing punches to each other.

Please...someone stop them, why are they even fighting in the first place?

Arisu thought as she was really scared, she doesn't want them to break their friendship with each other.

What can I do for them to stop fighting? I...don't want them to hurt each other like this.

"Arisu is in love with you, dumbass!" Kageyama yelled, making Arisu blushed furiously.

"No, she isn't. She is in love with you, idiot!" Hinata retored, making the blonde more flustered.

W-What are they talking about? I can't understand it...!

"Hey, you two! Stop it!" Tanaka yelled as he stopped those two from fighting each other.

"Hinata, Kageyama, stop it!" Sugawara said as he also helped Tanaka from restraining the two.

Sugawara restrained Kageyama as Tanaka did the same with Hinata, they separated the two for awhile.

"I'm sorry but, can you go home with Hinata, Arisu?" Tanaka asked the blonde as she nodded.

~•♥️•~

"Um...Shouyou-kun?" Arisu softly said, as she gripped her bag tighter.

Hinata just kept quiet, as he put his bag on the basket off the bicycle in silence.

"Lend me your bag" Hinata said, as he extended his hand to her.

"Why?" Arisu asked.

"I'll take you home, and about earlier...sorry" Hinata said as he averted his gaze from Arisu.

"I-It's nothing" Arisu said, thinking that it might be she witnessed the fight earlier, then she held her bag.

Hinata sat on the saddle while Arisu sat on the back as he began to stepped at the pedal.

They sat there in silence as the cold air touched their skins, the silence was deafening for Arisu so she decided to break it.

"Hey Shouyou-kun, why did you and Tobio-kun fought earlier?" She asked, as she held on his shoulders.

"...That's something you don't need to know" Hinata said seriously, as Arisu flinched at his tone.

"I-Is that so...? I understand" She mumbled slightly frightened.

The stars shone so brightly, as she didn't knew why they fight making her  upset and depressed.

She bit her lip as tears fell from her eyes, she cried in silence while she tried to hold them back.

Hinata felt liquid soaked his back, as his eyes widened, then it gotten softer while his eyes are fixated at the skies.

I couldn't ask her the reason for those tears...but even if I didn't, I knew why.

She gripped on his black vest, and cried silently as she can, enduring the sadness by herself.

The reason shy she was crying because she was confused, it seemed to her they're fighting for her.

She didn't want them to hurt each other, both physically and mentally, it is so heartbreaking for her.

Now, Hinata is kind of guilty, he was the one who started the fight first after all, he acknowledge that fact but he couldn't help feel so angry.

"I'm sorry, Arisu" He mumbled.
