Everyone sat down at a table in the center of Ralph's house and he began explaining the plan. "The plan is fairly straightforward. We're going to ambush Necrozma and lead it to the Prism. Then, battle it until Lunala can land a clear shot with its Z-Move which should knock it out."

Elio sat forward. "Just one problem with that. What are we going to do about the portals Necrozma opens whenever it's losing?"

"I've got that covered," Ralph said. "Cosmo and I can close them up but it means we won't be much help in the actual battle."

"Speaking of portals," Phyco started. "We don't know where Necrozma is since it has been universe hoping while we've been here."

"No worries!" Rotom Dex shouted. "I've got the data from the lab and your information so I should be able to find and track down the portals. We'll just have to start from where we last saw it!"

Selene turned to Ralph. "So what's the plan after we beat Necrozma? Won't it just attack us again?"

Ralph shook his head. "Necrozma's instinctual need to replenish the Prism should overwhelm any remaining rage it feels. Plus, we're going to give it light energy to calm its mind with the help of the Z-Crystals."

Elio tilted his head. "Wait, how does that help?"

Ralph gestured at the Z-Ring on his wrist. "They're each part of Necrozma's body and contain some of the light it used to generate. By blasting it with Z-Energy it can reach its original form temporarily and that's when it'll replenish the crystal. Then we just have to deal with what happens after." Ralph glared at Phyco.

Phyco glared back. "I'm not sure what you're insinuating. We aren't interested in containing it, we only want to prevent it from wreaking havoc on innocent realms and hurting itself. It was with a trainer before this whole mess began. If you would like to try and get Necrozma to join you, that is fine with us!"

Ralph seemed taken aback by the response. "Fine then. And I'll do a better job helping it than you ever could!" Ralph shot to his feet and stormed out of the home.

Phyco sighed. "I don't understand what his continued issue is with us. We only want to help Necrozma now."

Elio looked off to the side. "Selene, maybe you could try talking to him? You were pretty upset at first too."

Zossie lit up. "Yeah! Miss Selene will make him stop being a meanie head! She's the nicest!"

Selene felt her face get hot. "Aw! Thanks so much, Zossie! I'll give it a try." She agreed. Selene got up and walked out of the home to find Ralph leaning against a wall.

Selene wasn't sure how she'd approach the boy. His antagonistic behavior had irritated her at that point but Selene knew yelling at him wouldn't do any good.

Selene took a deep breath and went in. "Ralph, I just want to talk to you." She started. Ralph stared at her but said nothing else. "Why are you so mad at them? You've seen how sorry they are for their mistakes!"

Ralph sighed. "It doesn't matter how sorry they are. My world has been living in the consequences of their mistake for years and so have tons of other universes. I've been exploring and charting these realms for years and I've seen the damage this sort of thing has done."

Selene let herself get frustrated. "But they didn't know! They want to fix things now that they're aware!"

"You don't get it!" Ralph shouted. "Just because they felt sorry a few weeks ago after learning how wrong they were and how much they ruined everything doesn't make it ok and especially doesn't mean I won't despise them!"

Selene was at a loss for what to say. "Can't you at least TRY and work with them instead of just being bitter while they make an effort to help?"

"Selene, I charted the realms with just myself and my Cosmoem. I don't need help. You guys have useful tools but I wouldn't need your help to begin with if you didn't give it the ability to freely open portals thanks to your Solgaleo!"

Selene balled her hands into fists. "It was attacking my home after losing its trainer! What was I supposed to do? Let it destroy everything?"

Ralph paused. "I didn't know that. I thought-"

"That's the problem!" Selene cut him off. "You don't know. You think you have me and everyone else nailed down but you don't know our situations or who we are. So you end up wrong." Selene said.

Ralph didn't say anything else so she walked back inside his house. It was too late and she was too tired to keep arguing with him.

Ralph seemed to have been humbled the next morning as the group made breakfast and small talk. They got up to leave when Ralph asked for their attention.

"I'm sorry." He said. "I don't know you all and I shouldn't be judging so harshly. Let's focus on stopping Necrozma and refilling the Prism and then we'll go from there."

"Thank you," Phyco told him. "I very much appreciate that."

Zossie jumped up and down. "Yay! Miss Selene made you a nice man!"

Ralph seemed like he wanted to say something but didn't and just went outside.

Selene smiled at Elio and they all walked out. "Wow Selene, good work." He said while Phyco called down Lunala.

Selene shrugged. "I just said it how it was. I tried channeling your 'ambitious' energy when I argued and I guess it worked."

Elio raised an eyebrow. "Ambitious? Are you insulting me?"

Selene chuckled. "No, I would never. You just have a special mindset. The kind that uses an unevolved Pokémon in the finals of a tournament without telling his teammate." She elbowed him teasingly.

"Oh my Arceus!" Elio rolled his eyes. "You're still mad about that? We won!"

"Barely!" Selene replied. They smiled at each other and Ralph cleared his throat.

"Hey, lovebirds. We're going to get going." Ralph, Phyco, and Zossie were already on board Lunala's back.

Lunala took off and opened a portal back to the dusty wasteland realm. Selene wasn't thrilled to be back but they didn't spend much time there as Phyco scanned for portals and the group found Necrozma's.

They opened another portal in the same spot as Necrozma's and went to a completely new realm. The process continued for some time until they arrived in the universe that Necrozma was occupying.

They were over several mountains and Necrozma was firing light beams down at a town. Several portals were open and Ultra Beasts were flying out.

"Alright," Ralph whispered. "Get its attention and then I'll instruct you on where to go next. We've got a few realms to hop before we get to the Prism." Ralph unfolded a map and observed it.

Phyco's eyebrows went up. "You made a paper map of the Multiverse? How have you charted this much?"

Ralph chuckled. "As I've said before, I spent a long time traveling through the Multiverse. Now, let's do this."

Lunala fired a laser at Necrozma from afar. Necrozma saw the beam coming and flew out of the way. "Now! Open a portal go!" Lunala took off and Selene turned to see Necrozma chasing after them.

Selene held onto Lunala's back as tightly as possible as the wind screamed in her ears before they jumped into a completely foreign realm.

Necrozma wasn't far behind and began firing lasers at them. "Look out!" Selene shouted.

Phyco turned around and Lunala suddenly dove downward. Selene was sure she would fall off but managed to hold on.

She felt Elio take her hand and he looked at her assuringly. The action calmed Selene down just a bit as they jumped into the next realm.

"Not much more left until we're there!" Ralph shouted. Selene barely had time to pay attention to where they were going anymore.

Necrozma was chasing after them like they were the only thing in existence. It crashed through objects they went around, fired attacks senselessly, and the rage in its eyes was unmistakable.

Lunala went through one last portal and began to slow down. "We're here," Ralph said.

Selene took the opportunity to look around at where they were. A giant white prism was in the center while several massive rocks orbited around it.

Blue space akin to that of Ultra Space seemed to make up the area as far as the eye could see. "Now, we should probably get off Lunala so we aren't killed," Phyco advised.

The group disembarked their traveling companion and stood on one of the rocks. The gravity in the ream was almost nonexistent and Selene could feel the weightlessness.

Necrozma burst through a portal into the realm and charged at the group. "Lunala use Moongeist Beam!" Elio shouted.

Lunala fired the laser at Necrozma and pushed it into a giant rock. Necrozma burst from it and fired a giant geyser of light at Lunala. The beam flew through the space and into Lunala.

Elio gasped. "Lunala! Hang in there and use Ice Beam!" Lunala fired several ice attacks at Necrozma but it dodged them all and got in close.

Necrozma's arm grabbed Lunala by the chest and flew over to a rock. Necrozma's arm went up and it threw Lunala into the stone.

The stone shattered and Lunala floated through the space. "Lunala!" Elio shouted. Their moon bat friend's eyes opened but it seemed weakened.

"We can't let Lunala be defeated," Ralph said.

Phyco scratched his chin. "Then we'll have to battle and weaken Necrozma until Lunala can take it out."

Selene hated to admit it, but Phyco was right. She sent out Nihilego and Mimikyu. Elio sent out Talonflame and Crabrawler. Zossie sent out her Furfrou and Ralph called out his Cosmoem and Decidueye.

Necrozma stared then all down and roared as if it was inviting them to try and stop it. Selene took a deep breath. It was time to finish this.
