Zeref Pov

After a while Mavis stopped crying she just hugged me and wouldn't let go. I just hugged her and tried to soothe her, but on the inside I was furious.. NOT at Mavis of course. But at Sting and at myself. He's been hurting Mavis and I didn't even notice!! I can't believe this for 2 weeks he's been hurting her.... I'm going to make him pay!! Unconsciously my eyes started to turn red, and Mavis noticed. " Zeref your eyes are red... You're mad aren't you??" She said while looking down. Mavis I'm not mad at you... I'm mad at myself for not noticing.. It's not your fault Zeref. I should have told you.. I just sighed and kissed her cheek and rested my head on her shoulder. But I should have noticed Mavis. We stayed at the tree for the rest of class until lunch time. I will protect her... I have too.. I care about her.

Mavis Pov

Zeref didn't say anything about what happened he just held me tight and was running my back while trying to calm me down. When I calmed down I looked up at Zeref and saw that his eyes were red, I knew he was mad. "Zeref your eyes are red... You're mad aren't you??" I said in a quiet voice I was expecting him to start to yell at me, but he just looked at me and said " Mavis I'm not mad at you.. I'm mad at myself for not noticing..." he looked away for a moment I looked at him and said " It's not your fault Zeref... I should have told you..." he just sighed I looked down. It shocked me when he kissed my cheek, he rested his head on my shoulder and said " I should have noticed Mavis..." We stayed in each other's arms until lunch time. " Mavis are you hungry?" A little I admitted, " Well lets go get some food ok." I moved off of his lap and got up, he did as well and we headed back to the main building to get our food. Once we got our food we went out to school playground and sat under a Sakura tree to eat our lunch. We were having a good time laughing and eating our lunch until Sting came and messed it up. " So you did skip class Mavis!!! Along with this wimp!" He said sarcastically, Mavis just put her head down. I immediately stood up and looked at Sting. God he already bothered us once can't he leave us alone? Sting was making fun of Mavis until she turned to him and said " look you can make fun of me!!! But the minute you start making fun of Zeref because he's with me that's out of line!!!! Zeref is my best friend and I love him alot!!!! So leave him alone!!!"

Zeref Pov.

I was shocked.. I've never seen Mavis so upset.. She stood up for me... Sting looked shocked at first but then he just walked to Mavis and just punched her.. ( ok fight starts soon.. I'm not good at fight scenes... Cut some slack)
Mavis just fell to the ground holding her stomach.. I just lost it, I ran up to Sting and punched him. He tried to fight back but to no avail. I just kept hitting him without even thinking... Mavis was yelling my name for me to stop but I wasn't listening, he hurt her and he was going to pay.. I felt someone grab me from behind I was going to turn around until I heard them say " Stop.. Please stop. I'm scared Zeref... He learned his lesson so stop..." Mavis.. I stood up and turned around and hugged her. " I'm sorry Mavis... Let's go." She started to cry nut agreed we walked out of the school hard to some unknown place. " Mavis I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare you.. I just lost control." We just walked away from school. " It's ok... I was worried you would have been hurt." I stopped and grabbed her hand and pulled her to my chest. "Zeref what are you doing??" " just let me do this ok" she just smiled and hugged me back. I always want to protect you... I care so much about you.

Mavis Pov

I meant everything I said to sting... I know you weren't trying to scare me. You just care about me... And so do I.
