I wake up slowly, the world hazy, the floor cold against my cheek. My arms are sore, and my head is pounding. But mostly....mostly, it's the silence that feels like it's pressing down on me.

I sit up slow, every moment sending sharp reminders of the shot, of the fall. My mind drifts to Bellamy- gone. The m-cap, the video, the device. It's all still there, a weight in my chest that I can't shake.

A faint creek echoed in the hallway. My body stiffens. They were coming to take me back again.

Then the door bursts open.

"Diana!"

The voice is sharp, familiar, and hope flares in my chest. Not the weak, flickering hope of before. Real hope.

Echo, hope, Gabriel, Octavia, and diyoza. They rush in, moving like a storm.

I barely have time to react before echo throws herself at me, her arms tight around me.

"Diana....you're alive" she whispers, voice trembling.

I blink back tears, my chest tightening.
"Barely" I manage to rasp out. Hugging her back so tight it hurt my arms.

Hope steps forward, her own relief spilling out.
"We thought we'd lost you. I don't know what we would've done-" Hope starts but I pull her into a hug.

"I'm here. It's okay" I whisper into her arms.

We pull apart, and Octavia steps in front of me. I smile slightly, tears forming again.
"Thank God you're okay" she whispered.

Then pulled me into a hug
"I'm so sorry" she whispered after a second.

I nod slightly, eyes closing for just a second. We both know. Bellamy...he's gone.

Gabriel places his hands on my shoulders.
"You're okay? You're really okay?" He asks

"I'll live. Because of you all" I answer softly. He gave me a smile, still scanning to make sure I was okay.

I froze for a second. Taking the thought in about time. It had been a month maybe for me. But it was four more years for echo, hope, and Gabriel.

And that made my stomach twist.

Then diyoza spoke up.
"Don't get too sentimental. We still have a mission" she said

I feel Octavia grab my hand. And with their presence around me, I feel a small spark again- a tether to fight, to move forward. Not just to survive, but to finish what we started.

"There it is. That's the stone room." Gabriel says as we walk up to the door.

I stay close to echo, letting her arm help keep me steady.
"There's no one here. It's too quiet" I whisper, a knot in my stomach.

"Somethings not right" Diyoza mutters, scanning the shadows.

"The stones are only way out." Gabriel says

"They'd know we were coming here." Hope says

"We'll take right, you take left." I offer

Echo shakes her head
"Diana you can't even walk" she said

"Wait" Octavia said, spotting someone and starting to walk closer.

"It's levitt. Let her go" hope says

Octavia doesn't hesitate. She talks to him for a heartbeat, then lunches him square in the jaw.
"Guys, we run." She orders, and we all follow her.

I glance back to see Gabriel freeze for a moment, uncertainty flickering across his face.

"Gabriel, let's go!" I urge, panic threading my tone. He hesitates, then follows.

"Ah, this is it. The oxygen farm." Octavia announces as a man steps through the door.

The alarm voice calls out: last seen on level 12.

"There's nothing to be scared of. Just tell us how to get outside." Diyoza says, hand on his shoulder.

"To the surface?" He asks, wary.

"Yes." She nods

"You can't.... not without rebreathers" he warns

"What happened's without rebreathers?" Diyoza presses

"Same thing that happened to the bardoans. Extinction. Only...slower, I expect." He says

"Levitt wouldn't have told us to do this if it wasn't survivable." Octavia said.

I sigh. Regret already running through me.

I pull the trigger. And the man falls.

"What the hells matter with you?" Gabriel snaps

"She said his name. We still might need Levitt in the inside." Diyoza says

"On me" I command

"You just heard him. It's too dangerous." Gabriel protests, stepping in front of me.

"He wants his answers. That's all hes ever wanted." I say, calm but firm.

"No, that's not true. I want to live." He counters

"Then I suggest stepping aside." I say, voice low but unwavering.

"We don't have time for this" diyoza says, grabbing him.

"No- wait." He begins

Footsteps echo in the distance.
"They're coming. I trust Levitt, let's go." Octavia says, urgently.

"Move" Hope commands

"Gabriel, open the door" diyoza orders

"I can't let you risk it." He says, standing firm.

"Gabriel, what are you waiting for?" Octavia asked.

Before I can react, someone sharp pinched my neck.

Then I fall unconscious.
