During that night

She started seeing things, strange flashes, At first someone running, then down the entrance of the maze, she then stares at I'll white ceiling while being moved somewhere somewhere, The flashes then showed she was in a blueish lit room, she also saw DNA strands, she was also hearing voices as well in the background " wicked is good..." An old is sounding woman voiced

"..But it's not fair..."She heard her own voice

" ash..."  for a moment she though it sounded like Thomas

She then saw seeing peoples faces, people that looked familiar, especially one girl, she even saw Thomas'sface, then the opening of the maze they saw when they first arrived

" can you hear me?..." The girls voice echoed

She then so what looked like doctors surrounding her, then the voice saying what other pictures appeared in her head

"...Everything is going to change..."

" ash" Just as she wakes up, a hand covered her mouth which scared the hell out of her, but turned out to be Alby, he lifts a finger to his mouth and said" shhh" he then took his hand away and said " come with me"he gestured her to follow, but I wasn't just her, Thomas was awake too

She got out of a hammock and followed the two. He lead the, across the field while holding a knife a his hand  "Peaceful here... isn't it?" Alby asked rhetorically. "Well, believe it or not, it wasn't always like this."

to one of the walls and I looked at it to see names carved into the stonewall. Carefully, I reached forward and trace some of them. There were familiar ones, and different handwriting and sizes established a sense of personality.

. "There were dark days. We lost a lot of boys to fear, to panic. And we learnt from that. Established order... made peace." 

"Why are you telling us this?" Thomas asked, his eyes squinting vaguely due to the sunlight.  "Because you're not like the others." Alby reminded. "Thomas, you're curious. And ash, you're probably the intelligent person in this Glade. And fierce But you're one of us now. You need to know what that means." Alby took a knife out of his pocket and her eyes widened. As if by reflex, Thomas stepped carefully in front of her, cautious of Alby's actions. 

"Calm down," Alby chuckled as he rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to hurt you." He held out Thomas's hand and placed the knife in it. Alby then motions to the wall and Thomas stepped forward too.  "What happened to them?" Thomas inquired.  "Like I said..." Alby trailed off, his tone slightly pained.  "Dark days, Thomas." Ash finished for him, knowing Alby probably lost a lot of friends he cared for

Thomas nodded, holding his hand out before slowly beginning to carve his name into the wall.  When he was finished, ash did the same thing

time skip

As soon as everyone was up, they go to work as usual, Thomas worked in the gardens with newt and some of the other boys

and Ash with frypan in the kitchen

" has anyone tried climbing to the top?" Thomas asked while looking at newt " tried it, the ivy dont go all the way to the top" he said while tearing dead plants off "and besides, where are you going to go from there?" He said while continue in his work

"Then what about the box, you know, next time it comes up-" newt cuts him off " no we tried that, box won't go down with someone in it" he says

"Okay, what if we-" once again cut off " we've tried it, alright, twice" newt says chuckling, while leaning against the wood "Alright trust me, anything you can think of we've already tried, the only way out of it is through the maze, now look you wanna be helpful? "He picks up a basket and toss it to him "here, dig us up some more fertiliser"

Zart chuckled. Thomas dropped his shovel and walked away, holding the basket and walking towards the woods.

In the woods

"Just get the fertilizer, Thomas." Thomas mumbled him self as he walked through the woods "Are you sure, guys? I can't help in any other way?" "No, just get the fertilizer. You know where it is. It's just out in the middle of the woods." He shakes his head

He looked up ahead and noticed the light blue brown haired girl holding a basket, picking up some mushrooms, just when he steps of a twig making a snap, she tenses up and with around in defensive position, Eyes sharp, before calming down when she noticed it was  him " Thomas...." she breathed out " nearly gave me a heart attack..."

"Sorry "he said sheepishly were rubbing his neck "Newt sent me to get some fertiliser for the garden, why are you here?" He asked

"Frypan sent me to gather mushrooms" she said showing some she collected, which was about like six or seven

He nods, then says "would you like, some company?" He asks " sure" she shrugs, but to walk deeper into the forest, eventually coming along the Deadheads, he being together some fertiliser while Ash looks for more mushrooms, she manages to find a few and grabs them, placing them in the small basket she was given

Just then she noticed a sub sticks hanging out to the ground, and It look like there was also a name scratched on A wooden slab, she takes a closer look at it read George, she then remembered that George was one of the names on the water had been scratched out, She then had this on the flies buzzing in lockdown and saw bones, she gets really creeped out and alerts her so-called friend " thomas" he hears his name called out and looks towards the location, she shows him the wooden grave and he has exact same reaction as her, so the two started backing up, as they turn around to leave they come face-to-face with the blond hair and seemingly black eyed boy with the running gear on, the same one they knew for when they first entered the maze, Ben

His sudden appearance surprised both of them " oh Ben" ash gasped from the shock, she did notice he said was shaking, violently, growling under his breath, he didn't look at all right

"You're Ben, right?" Thomas asked "I don't know if we ever..." he then noticed his demeanour, and his state "hey, Are you okay?" He then roars and leapt at them, ash screams barely dodging, sadly Thomas was unlucky "Get the hell off me!" He yelled, he then began to choke him, short and choppy while struggling for breath

"It's your fault. I saw you. Both of you! You did this! I saw you!" The boy screamed at him, his gripping increasing on his arms, digging in his skin, making him scream

Ash quickly looked around to find something so smack Ben With, She Quickly Crouched down and picked up a small rock, "hey! She yelled to gain his attention, his grip loosened and turned his attention to the girl "she lets us to battle cry and throws a rock at him hitting him in the face, he could use his head and runs of Thomas, helping him up and pushing him forward "run!"

The two book it out of the Deadheads, panting and tired, but the determined to make it to the edge of a forest get away from the crazy boy chasing after them, who was much stronger, Thomas slid down the steep hill, slowing down ever so slightly waiting for ash to check "Ash! Come on!" He shouts, while running

The girl runs out of the woods, but suddenly Ben comes out of nowhere and jumps her, taking her to the ground, she screams surprise as the two of them roll down the hill, do you rolls of her so she takes the chance to get up and run for it " Thomas get help!" She screams

They continued running, Ash not too far behind Thomas, but Ben right on her tail "Hey! Hey! Hey!" He shouts, So that the gladers could hear "Help!" Newt and zart gets up hearing all the shouting, they then see Thomas running out, screaming like mad man, ash behind him, and the crazed runner, frypan runs from the kitchen "Help! Help! Help!" She screams

She let an scream as soon as the crazed boy suddenly leaps forward and tackles her to the ground, they roll for a bit before coming to a stop, he started so was his crazed black eyes staring down at her with merciless and vicious intent on harming her, wrapping his hands around her neck, chocking her, News runs over with shovel still his hand, as the other runners running round circle them and stop the madness  "ILL KILL YOU! BOTH OF YOU!!"

Ash screamed and someone yelled " hey!" Newt runs in with the shovel and whacks him in the face with it, The others rush over to hold him down along with newt "Hold him down!" Newt ordered, frantic. "What are you doing?!" he demanded.  "Calm down, Ben!" Gally added, as five Gladers collectively held Ben down.  "What the hell happened?!" Frypan exclaimed

"He just attacked us!" Thomas exclaimed, coughing, and clenching his side, ash controlling her breathing after getting chocked "You guys okay?" Chunk asked Thomas nods, ash continues coughing, but nods none the less "Calm down Ben..." gally repeated and the boy finally stops resisting their grip as he slowed his breathing pattern

Alby appeared at the scene soon, looking horrified at the sight in front of him with a stern look on his face ''No," Ben said, shaking his head as he saw Alby. "No, no, no!" he repeated. The desperation in his tone made her terrified"Alright, lift his shirt," Alby ordered and Ben continued to yelling " no! No! Please! Please..."as everyone helped hold him down as Newt lifted Ben's shirt. His stomach was a pale, sickly colour and a large stabbing wound rested on the right side of it, surrounded by infected looking veins

"He's been stung," Gally spoke before looking in between newt and Alby. "In the middle of the day?"

"No... please... "The glader begged, voice trembling as tears slid down his face "please... Ple... please just help! "He pleaded, voice growing louder

Alby looked pained for a second before standing up again. "Put him in the pit." He ordered"Come on, everybody help!" "NO!" Ben started to thrash around again and Newt called ordered " cmon! Medjacks!"

"Please don't do it!"

"Calm down, Ben." Gally grunted "Back down, Ben."

"Listen to me! Please! Please, stop, please!" He yelled they did this! Please stop! No! No, please! Help me!"

it took about six boys to carry Ben towards the pit, ash looked after them; horrified

still clenching her throat where he nearly choked her to death
