Background: born to Lady Alissa and Sir Roland Lithe, and grew up in a honorable working home. His mother died of yellow fever at the age of 8 and Sir Roland was left a widower with a son to raise. But when the King was ambushed he gave his life to protect the king but it was all for vain. The king died that  along with many other knights that day. Leaving just Gideon, who soon became a knight to the royal family and lives with Sir Eric Grier and his family. Eric being like another father to him.
