chapter 4: CONSCIOUSNESS, SELF, AND DEATH

─────────────────
PART 4 – CONSCIOUSNESS, SELF, AND DEATH IN MET
4.1. What is consciousness? (Definition according to MET)
In all current philosophy and science, consciousness is the hardest problem.
In MET, consciousness becomes an inevitable consequence.
Definition:
Consciousness is the process of interpreting reflected oscillations in the Membrane layer using the organism’s processor.
It is not “spirit”.
It is not “soul”.
It is not “the software of the brain”.
It is a process, not a “thing”.
Characteristics of this process:
Always running
Always receiving oscillations
Always interpreting
Always slightly distorted
Always generating new oscillations
Therefore:
Consciousness is an organized reflective loop regulated by neural structure.
──────────────────
4.2. Consciousness is not in the brain — it is in the cycle
If we examine MET structurally:
Oscillation → Membrane → Brain → New oscillation → Center → Reflection → Membrane → …
→ The brain is only the decoder, not the origin of consciousness.
This explains many real phenomena:
Why intuition exists
Some oscillations come not from the senses but from other layers → brain decodes → we feel.
Why emotions are invisible yet stronger than physics
Emotions are interpretations of oscillations not belonging to the physical layer, so they have no mass, not described by Newton’s laws.
Why when the brain is damaged, consciousness is distorted
The cycle is decoded incorrectly → consciousness still exists but no longer consistent.
Why “seeing the solution in a dream” happens
In dreams, the Membrane is loose → oscillations are not bound by logic → brain decodes freely → “vision” appears.
──────────────────
4.3. What is the self in MET?
From MET’s perspective, the self is not the feeling “I am I”.
Self = the most stable distinction pattern in the entire reflective cycle of a living being.
In other words:
Self = the most stable oscillation pattern that the organism can maintain.
Characteristics of the self:
can be large (strong, resolute)
can be small (vague, easily shaken)
can be modified
can collapse
can spread through reflection
A person with a strong self:
knows what they want
knows why they do it
does not confuse emotion – thought – reflex
maintains stability even in chaotic environments
A person with a weak self:
easily loses direction
follows news and crowds
easily manipulated
easily depressed or collapses when impacted

4.4. Death according to MET (3 levels)
This is one of the sharpest parts of MET theory.
MET divides “death” into three forms:
(1) Physical death — cessation of the processor
This is the death science describes:
Brain stops
Bioelectricity shuts down
Cells cease functioning
But according to MET:
Physical death is only the processor stopping operation.
The self-oscillation has not yet dissolved.
Oscillation continues to reflect for a short time.
This explains:
“light at the end of the tunnel”
out-of-body sensation
life flashing before eyes
brief moment of extreme clarity
Because the processor has shut down → oscillation is reflected in its pure form before dissolving.
(2) Death of the self — loss of distinguishing structure
If a person:
lives vaguely
does not know who they are
cannot fix any distinction
leaves no stable oscillation pattern
→ when the processor stops, the self-oscillation cannot retain structure.
According to MET:
This is absolute death — oscillation dissolves into the Abyss as meaningless noise.
Nothing left to reflect.
Signs that a life is heading toward this end:
prolonged despair
lack of purpose
no directed action
no personal essence
easily forgets oneself
lives as if only biologically existing
The Abyss “swallows” them not because of evil, but because:
They lack structure strong enough to reflect.
(3) “Living after death” according to MET — distinguishing oscillation persists
If the self is strong → that person’s oscillation structure:
does not dissolve immediately
continues to spread into the Center
When a new living being is born (or a compatible brain system appears), a small part of this oscillation can:
be decoded again
manifest as “talent”
manifest as “strange emotion”
manifest as “strong intuition”
manifest as “feeling of familiarity with something never experienced”
This is not reincarnation.
This is not soul transmigration.
This is a natural phenomenon:
Oscillation still structured → reflected → organism receives → interprets → becomes part of their personality.
──────────────────
4.5. Why do people with strong self not fear death?
According to MET:
Many people do not fear death if they know who they truly are and live in the right direction.
Because a strong self:
distinguishes clearly
is not disturbed by Membrane noise
trusts the structure they have created
knows that the self-oscillation will not dissolve immediately
Human fear is not of death, but of:
Dying without leaving any structure behind.
──────────────────
4.6. Why do dying people have “final moment of lucidity”?
A phenomenon recorded many times in medicine:
seriously ill
brain failing
coma
but right before death → extraordinary clarity
MET explains:
processor weakening
many logic control layers shut down
oscillation from Center arrives directly without filtering
→ Consciousness receives pure oscillation stream → becomes extremely clear, extremely wide.
──────────────────
4.7. Consciousness and Membrane — why can’t we remember early childhood?
MET states:
The Membrane changes its “expansion degree” with age
Oscillations when we are young are too weak → processor not yet stable enough
Most oscillations do not form structure
When grown, oscillations are stronger but incompatible with old patterns
→ Therefore early memories cannot be retained.
──────────────────
4.8. What is collective consciousness?
MET predicts:
A group of people sharing similar oscillation structure will form a small “collective self”.
Examples:
culture
community
religion
fandom
close friends
army
This explains:
why the more bonded a group, the more similar they become
why groups can be “crazier” than individuals
why individual consciousness dissolves in crowds
──────────────────
4.9. Summary of the nature of life according to MET
Life is not:
matter
biology
chemical reaction
Life in MET =
reflective structure strong enough to maintain distinction for a long time.
And:
Absolute death = loss of distinction → dissolution into the Abyss. “Because ‘dissolution’ is loss of distinction, whether an evil or good self dies, it will be fragmented, then return in another processor”
