chapter 5: TIME, DARK ENERGY & COSMIC EXPANSION

PART 5 — TIME, DARK ENERGY & COSMIC EXPANSION IN MET
5.1. Why does only the Membrane layer have time?
In MET, time is not a real physical dimension.
It is an effect, like a shadow or an echo.
According to MET:
Time = the delay of oscillation when passing through the Membrane.
The Membrane has characteristics no other layer has:
Expansion — oscillation does not pass through immediately but is stretched
Structural stability — oscillation does not dissolve, does not lose phase
Fragmentation — oscillation is split into many different branches
Trace-keeping mechanism — the Membrane “remembers” previous states
When oscillation is stretched → the feeling of “before–after” appears.
When the Membrane retains traces of previous oscillation → “past” appears.
When oscillation has not yet arrived → “future”.
Therefore, time is:
A by-product of the Membrane, not existing independently in the Physical layer or the Center.
──────────────────
5.2. Why does the physical universe lie within the Membrane?
The Physical layer is not the outer layer; it is the result of the Membrane.
The Physical layer:
has forces
has matter
has energy
has entropy
has thermodynamic laws
These things cannot exist without time.
→ Therefore physics must “anchor” to the Membrane.
A simple way to understand:
Membrane = operating system
Physics = application running on the operating system
Without OS → application cannot run.
──────────────────
5.3. What is dark energy in MET?
Modern physics observes:
The universe is accelerating in expansion
There is an invisible energy form occupying ~68% of the universe
Cannot be touched, cannot be measured directly, only known to exist through “pushing” space.
In MET:
Dark energy = the amount of meaningless information the Membrane absorbs from the Abyss and converts into structure.
A figurative way:
Abyss = sea of noise
Membrane = sponge
Universe = the area the sponge swells because it absorbs water
Why can’t we measure it?
→ Because dark energy is not energy in the physical sense, but:
the increase in oscillation density in the Membrane when absorbing noise from the Abyss.
──────────────────
5.4. Explaining cosmic expansion according to MET
In physics, cosmic expansion is an observation not fully explained.
In MET:
The Membrane “eats” noise from the Abyss → becomes larger → stretches the entire macro-universe inside.
This leads to:
expansion rate increasing over time (matches observation)
no limit (until the Membrane touches the system boundary)
expansion does not need “pushing energy”, only needs absorption of noise
It is like:
a balloon absorbing air
a network absorbing data
a biological membrane absorbing nutrients from the environment
So why not expand forever?
According to MET:
There will come a time when the Membrane touches a “denser” noise region → oscillation becomes unstable → universe enters a phase of restructuring or collapse.
(Like a “Big Crunch” but not contraction, rather collapse of oscillation structure.)
──────────────────
5.5. Future of the universe according to MET
MET predicts 3 endings:
(1) The Membrane continues absorbing noise evenly → universe expands infinitely
→ physical structure becomes increasingly dilute but stable
→ new, more refined forms of existence appear
→ consciousness may evolve to the ability to “feel” the Central layer
This is the most optimistic scenario.
(2) The Membrane touches a dense noise region → oscillation becomes unstable
→ time distorts
→ physical laws change
→ many forms of existence dissolve
→ consciousness is strongly fragmented
→ universe recombines into a “new system”
(3) The Membrane tears or collapses → universe is submerged into the Abyss
Not returning to a singularity, but:
oscillation loses structure
information dissolves
Membrane collapses leaving only the bare Center
after trillions of trillions of years: a new system forms
new structure not resembling the old
MET views this as the “natural death” of a system.
──────────────────
5.6. Position of life in expansion
When the Membrane expands:
oscillation density increases
noise decreases
stability increases
→ this creates the perfect environment for consciousness to appear.
This also explains:
why life only began after the universe stabilized for billions of years
why consciousness exploded at a specific point
why civilization appears in the “middle” of the universe’s life
MET regards life as:
a by-product of the Membrane when it reaches optimal expansion.
──────────────────
5.7. Time and the death of the universe
According to MET:
Time does not die.
Only the Membrane dies.
If the Membrane collapses:
time disappears
physics disappears
biological-form consciousness disappears
only undissolved oscillation and the Center remain
→ Later, if new structure forms, time appears again.
──────────────────
5.8. Why can’t we time-travel?
MET gives a very convincing reason:
Time is not an independent dimension → cannot “go back” or “go forward”.
One cannot travel in something that does not exist independently.
The only thing possible:
change how the Membrane expands
change how we interpret oscillation
change the rhythm of reflection
→ makes us “feel” time differently
But cannot return to physical past.
