"Well Kiniro do you understand now that you mean nothing to me now" Kurai asked

"No matter how many times you say that I won't believe you...because you are my best friend" Kiniro exclaimed

"Then I have no choice but to make you learn it the hard way" Kurai said raising a card to the sky

"A man with the power of the secret, forbidden arts, he uses his powers for the sake of defending the magical creatures of the world, I ride my avatar Magician of Forbidden Arts, Mystic Don Dave!" Kurai announced

The black haired man was surrounded by a purple light and orbs of magic started to to surround the man transforming him into a black haired man wearing a grand sage outfit covered in ancient talismans, wearing a black headband on his head and scarf of the same colour covering his mouth, holding a scroll in one hand and a black katana.

"Don Dave" Kiniro said looking at the unit

"So thats his avatar" Yudai said impressed

"Looks powerful" Izo stated

"Somethings different about him" Hedeyoshi stated

"Moving Fenrir back I call Magician of Black Magic, Shada (9000)" Kurai stated

A brown haired man wearing a dark purple wizard cloak with mystic symbols etched across the outfit and holding a large wooden staff with a large green orb at the top appeared.

"With a boost from Kamlock, Don Dave attacks (16000)" Kurai declared

"I guard with Legacy Hero Healer, Doreen and intercept with Nobunaga (total defence 26000)" Kiniro countered

"Twin drive (Cursing Sword Magician, Fergas - No Trigger) second check (Young Magician, Quince - Draw Trigger) power to Shada and I draw" Kurai revealed

"With a boost from Fenrir, Shada attacks (21000)" Kurai declared

"I don't guard" Kiniro decided

The brown haired man raised his staff to the sky and a green bolt of magic struck the purple haired women.

"Damage check (Legacy Hero Healer, Doreen - Heal Trigger) the power to Koumei and I recover one damage" Kiniro revealed

"I end my turn there" Kurai stated

"Kin has to be devastated considering what Shade said before" Yudai stated concerned with his friend

"Kin is in a state of distress right now..." Hedeyoshi stated

"I have a bad feeling" Hikaru stated

"Master of the future generation, come to my aid and show those who harm my friends, your mastery over time, I ride my Avatar Future Generation Legacy Hero, Master Clockwork (11000)" Kiniro announced his head still down

A light surrounded the purple haired women and she was replaced by a blond haired man wearing techno patterned graphene armour infused with energy, wearing a white scarf covering his mouth, an advance gauntlet on his right arm, and holding a longsword made of energy in one hand and an energy infused graphene shield with the numbers 1 to 12 in the other.

"Why" Kiniro said with sadness

Everyone looked at Kiniro to find that he was crying.

"Why are you acting this way Shade...we have...been friends since we were kids...that day when you came up to me...it was..." Kiniro said with more despair in his tone

Kiniro clenched his fist and placed his hands on the table.

"The best day of my life...for once I was happy...to finally have a friend" Kiniro said the tears falling down his face

'Kin...' Yudai thought seeing Kiniro in that state

"Well maybe...you shouldn't have gotten your hopes up...Kiniro" Kurai said putting emphasis on his name

Kiniro looked even more shocked to hear Kurai call him by his proper name.

"In all the days I've known those two, I've never heard Kurai use Kin's name" Hedeyoshi stated

Izo seemed to have a look on his face that seemed like he was getting close to something. Yudai noticed this.

"What is it Izo?" Yudai asked

"I'm getting close to figuring out what was bothering me before" Izo answered

"The master of time from the far future, calls on his former self to bring about peace, Seek the Mate!" Kiniro announced tears still in his eyes

4 cards flew out of Kiniro's drop zone and returned to the deck then a light surrounded his deck and scanned through it, then a card flew out from the deck. As Kiniro grabbed the card the tears dispersed.

"The Master of the present and future band together to fix anomalies throughout time, Present Generation Legacy Hero, Chronic Clockwork, Legion!" Kiniro announced

A blond haired man wearing light blue Graphene armour with clocks engraved in it, a hat with an orb on it, holding a great sword made of time energy and a wrist device on his left arm appeared near the blond haired man.

"I activate Lupin's skill, I counter blast 1 and place it in the soul and place a Chrono Grave from my hand to the bottom of the deck with that I add a Chrono Grave to my hand, shuffle my deck, then check the top card of my deck and if its a grade 2 or lower Chrono Grave I call it, superior call my Mighty Legacy Hero Commander, Oda Nobunaga (9000)" Kiniro stated

Another man with long black hair tied at the back to stick up and a black goatee, wearing a long purple jacket that is red inside, black samurai armour on his arm, legs and body with a white robe underneath, an advanced watch and two swords tied around the waist.

"I call Superior Legacy Hero Leader, Liu Bei (11000)" Kiniro stated

A man with black hair and beard, wearing a green robe with white castle armour on top, a sword tied around the waist and wearing an advanced watch appeared.

"Master Clockwork, Chronic Clockwork, Legion attack (20000)" Kiniro declared

"No guard" Kurai decided

"Twin drive (Legacy Hero, Fast Forward Swordsman - Critical Trigger) power to Nobunaga, critical to Clockwork, second check (Legacy Hero, Rewind Tiger - Critical Trigger) the power goes to Nobunaga, critical to Clockwork" Kiniro revealed

The blond haired men charged at the black haired man and slashed him with their swords making the man fly into a pillar that crumbled onto of him.

"Damage check the first (Magician Guardian Dragon - No Trigger) second (Forbidden Arts Prodigy, Kadabra - No Trigger) third (Magician of Forbidden Arts, Mystic Don Dave - No Trigger)" Kurai revealed

"Lui Bei attacks your vanguard (11000)" Kiniro declared

"I don't guard" Kurai decided

The man with the goatee slashed the black haired man with his sword.

"Damage check (Cursing Sword Magician, Fergas - No Trigger)" Kurai revealed

"Nobunaga with his skill attacks" Kiniro declared

Kurai had sighed with a disappointed tone.

"I expected better Kiniro, you were better off not searching for me" Kurai stated taking a card out of his hand

"User of magic, summon your allies and protect the master of magic from harm! Magic Circle Summoner, Lester, Quintet Wall! (Young Magician, Quince 5000) (Mythical Beast, Fenrir 5000) (Black Magic Dracokid 10000) (Wise Forbidden Arts Master, Alakazam 0) (Magician of Black Magic, Shada 5000)" Kurai countered

The black haired man raised his sword and charged at the black haired man with the katana but a man wearing ancient warrior armour with talisman on the forearms and ancient inscriptions on the chest plate appeared and created 5 magic circles blocking the attack.

"I end my turn" Kiniro stated disappointed

"I'm disappointed Kiniro, all that time I disappeared and this is what you offer me, you won't win this fight" Kurai stated with his eyes closed

"Can Kiniro do this Hedeyoshi?" Hikaru asked

Hedeyoshi stayed silent as he didn't know what to say.

'Kurai...' Katashi thought

"Here's where he gets serious" Hitomi stated with a grin

"I call Cursing Sword Magician, Fergas (9000) and Enchantment Warlock, Drake (7000)" Kurai stated

A white haired man with a green librarian outfit, talismans on his outfit and holding a katana with black aura surrounding it and a chained sheath around the mans waist and another grey haired man wearing wizards robe that covers his entire body, he has a scroll floating above his hand open with information on enchanting weapons and equipment and holding a potion in his other hand appeared.

"The magician with powerful arts, calls upon his friend with magic might to match his own in order to protect, Seek Your Mate!" Kurai announced

4 cards flew out of Kurai's drop zone and returned to the deck then a light surrounded his deck and scanned through it, then a card flew out from the deck.

"The magician of forbidden arts and black magic unite as one to protect all that is mystical, Magician of Black Magic, Shada, Legion!" Kurai announced

A brown haired man wearing a dark purple wizard cloak with mystic symbols etched across the outfit and holding a large wooden staff with a large green orb at the top appeared beside the black haired man with the katana.

"Fergas skill when my vanguard performs Legion a unit on your field gets Hex, I choose Lui Bei, Fenrir's skill, counter blasting 1 Nobunaga gets Hex. Now Don Dave's Legion skill, I counter blast 2 and give Clockwork Hex, then since 3 of your units have Hex my vanguard gets plus 1 critical" Kurai stated

"His vanguard got a critical" Yudai exclaimed surprised

"Shade's avatar is quite impressive" Izo complemented

"With a boost from Kamlock, Don Dave, Shada, Legion attack (25000, 2)" Kurai declared

"I don't guard" Kiniro decided

"That kid just sealed his fate" Hitomi commented

"Its over Kiniro twin drive (Black Magic Dracokid - Critical Trigger) critical trigger the power goes to Fergas, critical to Don Dave, second check (Mythical Beast, Chimera - Critical Trigger) power to Shada, critical to Don Dave" Kurai revealed

"N-no way" Kiniro said with slight fear

"Double critical trigger on top of his two critical" Hikaru said shocked

"Thats 4 damage, if Kiniro doesn't get a heal on the 4th damage its over" Izo commented

The black haired man opened the scroll and a torrent of dark energy enshrouded his katana and the brown haired man raised his staff casting a spell that infused the katana with green lightning.

"Annihilate him" Kurai exclaimed

With that order the black haired man charged at the two blond haired men and slashed them both with the enchanted sword causing an explosion around them.

"D-damage check the first (Legacy Hero Protector, Historic Pterodactyl - No Trigger) second (Legacy Hero Recruit, Tove - No Trigger) third (Legacy Hero Healer, Doreen - Heal Trigger)" Kiniro revealed

"Thats not a good sign guys" Hikaru commented

"P-power to Clockwork. T-the fourth (Future Generation Legacy Hero, Master Clockwork - No Trigger) I-I l-lost" Kiniro said with despair

"Kin was defeated" Izo stated

"No way" Hikaru commented

Hedeyoshi had a look of slight anger on his face.

"Thats a harsh way to lose a fight" Yudai exclaimed

'Kiniro...if that is how you are now you won't be able to succeed in your goal' Katashi thought

"S-shade" Kiniro said with tears building in his eyes

"Don't bother looking for me anymore Kiniro because...I'm never coming back consider our friendship over" Kurai commented

"No please you can't-" Kiniro started to plea

"Any that disturb the creatures sanctuary, shall be punished with the eternal curse of pain, Judgement" Kurai announced

The cards in the damage zone formed a pillar of dark aura then the stone statues eyes start to glow along with the language on the wall, at that moment the statues mouths started to move and the words came out of the wall and tied themselves around Kiniro and enveloped him in a purple aura with a magic circle on his chest making Kiniro scream in pain.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH" Kiniro screamed

"Kin/Kiniro" Everyone except the Cinque Defenders members yelled

As the field returned them to the ruin Kiniro fell to his knees feeling a large pain from the prisons effects.

"With that its over" Kurai stated

At that moment Kai and the others returned with Kourin defeating Kai and him damaged once again.

"It seems they couldn't defeat them either" Hitomi stated

"We shall be taking our leave" Katashi stated

Tears began to fall from Kiniro's eyes once again as he was crying from his emotional and physical pain. Kurai turned his head slightly as he was leaving and as he turned his head back around a few droplets could be seen but only Izo had noticed.

'I see...I found the answer' Izo thought

With that the Quatre Knights and the Cinque Defenders members had disappeared and the portals were cracked.

"I can't believe he's gone" Kiniro said through his weakened voice

With that they all left the ruins Kai and Misaki having new doubts and Kiniro now being in a state of utter despair over the loss of his first and very best friend with Kurai being the one to break their bond.
