After their trip to the ruins both Kai and Kiniro's groups had a lot on their minds. The one who is suffering the most is Kiniro. After they returned Kiniro returned back to his home with Yudai and Izo without a word. Today Izo and Yudai dragged Kiniro over to Card Capital to discuss what to do now. The day was slow at Card Capital today, the only ones in the store are Shin who is working on his computer, Assista Cat who is lounging around the desk and Kiniro and Kai's groups sitting at a couple of the tables.

"Oh, boy. What a mood" Shin said looking towards the group

Everyone from both groups are in dead silence not making a sound. Everybody was taking the news they learned from Aichi and Kurai's captors badly.

"Kourin...Why?" Misaki said looking at the black ribbon on her wrist

Misaki was wondering why Kourin is with the Quatre Knights.

'Kai seems to be taking that news about Aichi pretty badly' Izo thought looking towards Kai

Kai had been thinking over what Aichi had said about him asking them to stop trying to find him.

'Kin really is suffering' Yudai thought looking at a almost lifeless Kiniro

Kiniro, who had the worst experience was suffering over his best friend Kurai...leader of the Cinque Defenders desecrating the bond that they shared since they were children.

"Darn it! Why Aichi?! Why are you rejecting us?!" Naoki said frustrated

"I'm sure he's got some reason..." Kamui said slightly disappointed

"What reason?!" Naoki yelled

"If I knew that, I wouldn't be rackin' my brains like this!" Kamui yelled

"What the heck, junior?!" Naoki yelled

"What the heck, senior?!" Kamui yelled

Kamui and Naoki were staring each other down with sparks forming between their eyes.

"Cut it out, you two" Miwa interjected

"Are those two always that noisy?" Izo asked

"Pretty much" Hikaru answered sweat dropping

Even through all the commotion Kiniro stayed silent.

"I haven't seen Kin this way before..." Yudai stated

"He's like you when that crisis back in our time started" Izo exclaimed

"Yeah" Yudai agreed

"Tch. How long are we gonna mope around like this?!" Naoki yelled standing from his chair

"I'm gonna go see Aichi! Aichi might not wanna see me...but I...But I wanna see him" Naoki yelled

"Me too! I wanna ask brother Aichi to his face why he doesn't wanna see us!" Kamui exclaimed rising from his chair

"Kamui!" Naoki exclaimed

"Ishida!" Kamui exclaimed

"There's still something that Shade wasn't telling us, I'd say we should go see him again too" Hedeyoshi stated

"I agree" Izo stated

"The only way we can meet Aichi is by gettin' stronger than the Quatre Knights!" Naoki exclaimed

"The same goes for use too" Hikaru stated

"So what we need right now is..." Kamui started

"Intensive training!" Naoki and Kamui answered at the same time

"Training is just what we need" Hikaru stated

"Not feeling ok with your deck?" Hedeyoshi asked Hikaru

"Its not really the deck but after losing to Hiyama I wanna get stronger" Hikaru answered

"Who's a strong guy that'd be willing to train us?" Naoki asked

"Ren Suzugamori wouldn't help..." Kamui stated

"Which is too bad too, I've seen him fight he's as good as people say in my time" Yudai said making sure Kai and his mates don't hear

"Koutei went back to school..." Kamui added

"It'll be difficult findin' someone as strong as the Quatre Knights. What should we do?" Naoki asked

"Welcome" Shin greeted some customers

The wind from the door opening blew a card from Naoki's deck on the table into Kai's hand and Naoki and Kamui knew exactly who to have train them.

"Leon Souryu!" Kamui and Naoki said in unison

"Do they mean Aqua Force Leon Souryu?!" Yudai asked shocked

"Yeah" Hedeyoshi stated

"Nice, getting training from him would be amazing" Hikaru and Yudai stated in unison

With their mind on a person to train them set Naoki had given Leon a call and when he got off the phone it sounded as though Leon agreed to the training.

"Yes, Leon Souryu has agreed to train us!" Naoki announced

"Leon is the best guy to train us, bar none!" Kamui said

"Hang on if he agreed to this trip doesn't that mean he remembers them?" Yudai asked

"That seems like the logical explanation" Hikaru stated

Naoki took his seat and the people that were silent decided to speak up.

"I'm not going" Kai stated

"Me neither" Misaki stated

"I'm won't go" Kiniro said weakly

"What?!" Naoki and Hikaru said in unison

The other customers were shocked at their outburst.

"Misaki! Kai! Kin! Why?! Why won't you go to train?! Don't you care about Aichi and Kurai" Naoki asked shocked

Hearing Kurai's name made Kiniro lower his head again.

"That's not it. They just mean they want time to sort their feelings out" Miwa stated

"Plus Kiniro lost his best friend, I'm not surprised he would feel this way" Hedeyoshi added

"I agree with Ishida! Nothin's gonna change if we just sit here. We should train to get stronger!" Kamui stated

"Well, sure...I mean, I think so too..." Miwa exclaimed

"Excuse me" Shin called out

Everyone had turned their attention to Shin.

"If the famous Leon Souryu has extended you an invitation, you should take it. Indeed, you should go" Shin suggested

Everyone except for Kiniro was looking at Shin with confused looks on their face.

"You can sort out your feelings anywhere, can't you?" Shin stated

Shin then showed everyone an envelope.

"Here, I got you tickets!" Shin announced

Naoki grabbed the envelope from Shin and read through it to find everyones names including Shin. He insisted that if they go on a retreat their leaders going with them. Although Misaki had concerns Shin said he would get somebody to help. Because of how he planned it no one had complaints to him going.

"Anyway, right now we gotta act! Right!" Naoki announced

In the end everyone was convinced to go on the training trip, they have arrived at the island of the Souryu out on the high seas.

~Leon's Island~

"So this is Leon Souryu's island...Awesome! It's like the prototypical island lost at sea" Naoki said impressed

"Long time no see, Naoki Ishida" A voice greeted

Everyone looked towards the voice to find a boy wearing a white navi like robe with blue and yellow lining and blond hair with two girls that look the same except one of them wears a green lined white jacket with a green skirt and one with blue, it was the Team Dreadnaught trio, Jillian, Sharlene and Leon Souryu.

"Leon Souryu" Naoki called out

"Just Leon is fine" Leon stated

"I appreciate you trainin' us!" Naoki exclaimed with his fist in front of him

"Don't mention it" Leon replied

After greetings were done Leon showed them to the rooms that they would be staying in their hospitality was that of a hotel. Supplying them food and rest. Izo and the others with Kamui, Miwa, Naoki and Dreadnaught on the roof of the islands castle, though Kiniro stayed cooped up in the room.

"Huh? Where're Kai, Misaki and Kin?" Naoki asked

"They said they didn't feel like it" Miwa and Hedeyoshi answered in unison

"Sheesh. Then we'll start without them" Naoki exclaimed

"Yeah" Kamui agreed

"Leon, I'm countin' on you" Naoki said

"Fine" Leon replied

"How about we fight each other for a bit since they all seem to have their opponents" Izo suggested

"Sure I'm cool with that" Yudai stated

"Alright then, lets do it Yudai" Hikaru exclaimed

"Sure Hikaru" Yudai relied

"Guess that leaves you and me" Izo said looking at Hedeyoshi

"Should be interesting" Hedeyoshi said grabbing his deck

They got set up and were ready to fight.

"Stand up (My) Vanguard" Everyone yelled

Hikaru and Yudai were on their second fight with Yudai taking the win, after Yudai gave a little advice to Hikaru, Hikaru had challenged Yudai again to see if he could improve. A few turns in Hikaru was at 5 damage and Yudai was at 4, it was Hikaru's turn and he had used Light Saver Dragon's effect to power up his field.

"With a boost from Rune Eagle, Light Saver Dragon, Light Blaze Dragon, Legion attack!" Hikaru declared

Yudai looked at his hand and didn't have enough to guard.

"I don't guard" Yudai decided

"Twin drive (Honest Seeker, Cynric - No Trigger) second check (Impact Seeker, Modoron - Critical Trigger) power to Gildas, critical to my vanguard" Hikaru revealed

"Damage check (Astronomer, Equinox Cross Dragon - No Trigger) second (Protection Astronomer, Spectra) good game Hikaru that was fun" Yudai said smiling

"Thanks for the advice" Hikaru said

"We gotta help each other out after all so its fine" Yudai replied

"Hey Yudai do you think Kiniro will be ok?" Hikaru asked

"I don't know" Yudai answered

"All we can do is support him as best we can" Yudai stated looking towards Izo and Hedeyoshi's fight

"After this fight I have something I'd like to share with everyone" Izo stated in the middle of his fight

"We're all ears" Hikaru replied

~Meanwhile~

Kiniro was sitting in his room still mourning over the loss of his best friend. He pulls out his deck with Clockwork sitting on top.

"Shade..." Kiniro said quietly
