A few days later... At Fukuhara High School. I sat in my seat near the window as usual, I'm just lucky I'm not in the classrooms that have the Asteroid building in front of it.

'Do I really have to choose sides?' I thought to myself while looking out the window.

After the class has ended.

"Hey Katashi you alright?" A voice asked behind me.

"I'm alright, don't worry about it Konome," I said replied

I turned around a faced her. Konome Amagi, My best friend since the first grade and team member of the school's cardfight team.

"It's just you haven't been acting like yourself recently so I'm wondering if there's something wrong," Konomi asked.

"I've just been thinking about something," I replied.

'Maybe I should ask her opinion' I thought.

"Hey Konomi can you follow me to the roof?" I asked.

"Um sure, why not here?" She asked in a questioning tone.

"It's just something important I have to decide and I need you to answer it." I said.

"Alright, say no more," Konome said.

At the rooftop.I started asking the question.

"Konome," I said.

"Go on ask away," Konome replied.

"Alright, if you have to choose between two sides fighting for different causes who will you pick?" I asked.

"Why you ask?" Konome asked.

"Well" I hesitantly said

" Well?" Konome asked.

"I'm not sure if you can answer it" I asked.

"Never mind that, I guess I can answer that with the side with the better cause," Konome answered.

'So I'm guessing keeping Abyss and Link Joker in check is the better choice,' I thought.

"Thanks I needed the answer," I said

"I'll see ya later," I said walking to the door that leads back into the school.

"Wait just a moment Katashi" Konome said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Why would you ask me a question like that?" Konome asked.

"I can't say" I replied.

"Well then" Konome said.

Konome took out her deck case.

"How about I fight you then tell me what's the meaning of it after I won," Konome continued as she held the deck towards me.

"What?" I asked.

"You've been acting weird these past few days and you would never hide anything from me" Konome finished

"Fine then" I said

I held my deck towards her.

"If I win you're not getting involved,"I continued saying.

Later at the Asteroid building. We found a fight table and was getting our hands ready.

"Hey isn't that Katashi Zanbara?" A female student asked noticing me.

"You mean the guy with the unique Genesis deck?" Another female student asked.

"He was in the top 5 people from our school who went in Ren's team for the VF High School tournament wasn't he?" A male student added on.

"And his opponent that's Konome Amagi she was in the top 5 as well," The first female student said.

"This should be a really good fight" the male student said excitingly.

A bunch of students started to crowd around us.

'There's a lot of people...' I thought.

Konome and I set our starters on the table.

"You ready Konome?" I asked.

"You bet" Konome said with a confident voice.

"I'm not gonna hold back" I declared

"Good I won't either" Konome declared

  Hey guys sorry for updating really late been busy with school and work, But lucky for you guys I'm back in action because my school just ended last week and I got a lot of time in my hands so look forward to the next chapter because let's say things will happen and will change the course of the story.
