Case Cold Blood: Shameful

Sorry for the late update you guys!
----------

"Four o clock...should I go down...should I....?"

You chewed your lip, slipping on your shoes as you grabbed your key card and walked from the room.

You locked it slowly as to waste time, only to quickly walk to the elevator that was empty.

You pressed the lobby floor and leaned against the wall, sighing and closing your eyes as you shook your head.

"Its...Its...fine...right?"

You looked up as the doors to the elevator opened, taking your first few steps out before you were quickly whisked aside.

"Wh-"

"Hush. Its me."

You looked up at Crocodile, a frown now making its way to your face as you sighed.

"What the hell do you want..."

"Don't get tough with me..."

His hand wrapped around your arm as he pulled you out of the doors, the valet quickly rushing from his post to the car garage.

"Where the hell do you think you're taking me?"

"Wow you don't dress under pressure do you?"

You looked down at your shirt and sighed at the subtle coffee stain you couldn't get out...

"Whatever..."

The valet pulled up in a large black, luxury car, hopping out and shakily setting the keys in Crocodile's outstretched palm.

"Just get in, I don't need to waste anymore time trying to persuade you to let me help you out.."

"You are helping me out, it doesn't mean that we're partners. We're not even friends."

"Tch."

You sat in the unfamiliar car, glancing at him as he casually looked at you closing the door.

"I don't need 'friends', why have friends when enemies are more fun to hang out with hm? There's no hard feelings if you kill an enemy.."

"That's not what I meant Crocodile.."

"What did you mean then, tell me."

He pulled out of the parking garage, making a left onto the strangely cluttered street.

"What's going on?"

"Don't worry about it.."

You heard sirens wailing in the distance, your eyes glancing to the passenger mirror.

"Why is the fire department out?"

"Oh I don't know there's a parade going on..what do you think?"

You looked down and frowned deeply as he continued on in the opposite direction.

"They're out because more of those drug packs were found near the hotel. "

"What? If thats the case then I need to go get my bags!"

"Too late now, everyone is being evacuated until some kind of narcotics officer comes up from Dallas, could be awhile."

"You could've told me!"

"I could've, but your stuff would've taken up more of the room in the trunk that we need."

"What do you mean?"

You watched him pull up and park near the sidewalk, unlocking the doors as he opened his.

"Just hush."

You watched him get out, slowly opening your door as he made his way around the front of the car.

"Why are we here..?"

You looked up at the beauty store, cocking an eyebrow in confusion.

"I said that we'll be going to Donquixote's establishment, in that case we'll need you to be disguised...it'll be safer for all of us involved.."

"Oh how thoughtful.."

He made his way to the door, holding it open as you made your way into the powder-y smelling building.

"I have someone that'll be doing the makeup..and we have an outfit already set for you."

"Wh-what!?"

He guided you towards the back of the store, knocking on a plain gray door.

A tall slim looking man opened the door, glancing up at the tall man in front of him.

"Bentham...I'll need this done within the next four hours.."

The man glanced at you, the makeup around his eyes making you blink as your head tilted to the side slightly.

"Oh I'll have it done soon Croc, I got another client flying in from Florida."

"Well don't think you'll be putting anyone before me. Remember who pays your salary."

The man scoffed slightly, taking your hand as he led you back.

"Don't worry about him honey, he's always a grouch."

"Oh I know.."

You grinned slightly as the door closed, the man called Bentham setting you down in front of a mirror.

"Now what I'm hearing is, you're going to be preforming a few feats to getting this flamingo dead."

"Its what I've been told yes."

You felt his hand on your chin, gently turning your face side to side as to examine your features.

"Mm..I'm just going to distort the cheekbones a tad, sharpen them up...I'll straighten and sharpen up your jawline..."

You watched as he took out multiple pallets of makeup, looking at yourself curiously.

"Are you comfortable with wearing contacts? Eye color is important and your eye color is fairly distinctive."

You blinked and looked up at him.

"Oh! Yeah sure that's fine, what color?"

"I think that maybe...we'll do like a neutral color...hmm..."

He brought out a little case, popping it open to different lenses and contact colors.

"C/c?"

"Yeah that sounds good.."

"Good."

He sat your head back, holding your hand to your eye to keep it open.

"Just keep your eye open, and when I put it in blink a few times."

"Mhm."

You fidgeted a bit, blinking as the contact was placed in your eye.

"Mm.."

"You good love?"

"Yeah...this is going to be a long few hours.."
-----------------

After a few grueling hours, you were finally done, although you looked similar to when you walked in, your face was contorted into angular lines

You blinked a few times, adjusting to the contacts.

"You can see yes?"

"Yeah I can see fine, just a little irritated.."

"You'll get used to it, now we just have to get you into the outfit and you'll be all set to go."

"Okay..what's the outfit.."

He walks to the back of the room, taking up a jacketed hanger and unzipping it.

You blinked at the tight looking dress, gulping slightly as your eyes went from the dress back to him.

"The..that?"

"Yes, you'll look less conspicuous walking in looking like the rest of the women that go there."

You got up, taking the hanger as he guided you to the back.

"Just slip it on and you'll be on your way."

You nodded, slowly making your way into the dressing room and stripping down to slip it up.

You sighed and looked at yourself.

"And they wonder why I don't wear this stuff...this is for like...models or something.."

You stepped out and looked at him, heels in his hand.

"No!"

"You have too, wearing sneakers with a dress isn't fashionable.."

"Why was I born this way...I never asked for this..."

You slowly slipped your shoes off, sliding into the uncomfortable heels.

"There we go! All done!"

"Well...thank you anyway..."

He nodded and gave a small smile, leading you back to the door.

"Don't worry honey, I'll have your clothes sent back to the hotel in a few hours."

He sat a coat on your shoulders, you graciously accepting as you held it closely to your body.

"Thanks.."

"Also, he told me that you didn't seem to have grabbed the capsules, so I have some in that coat in a side pocket on the inside, a little cloth compartment."

You nodded and smiled slightly, looking around for Crocodile.

"Crocodile.."

"What took so long-....."

He stared at you for what seemed to be hours, a cough from his throat clearing the air as his eyes hardened..

"Well, seems like we're done here...let's get going.."

You followed after him, clambering in the heels as you carefully sat in the car.

"What time is it?"

"Around eight.."

"I was in there that long...?"

"And it was for good measure too, can hardly recognize you doll.."

You blinked.

"...doll."

"Get used to it, unless you want to be called yappy the rest of the time you're occupied with me."

You rolled your eyes.

"Whatever...can you just turn on the radio.."

His hand reached for the knob, tuning it in on the news.

"You think they'll have anything for the drugs?"

"Maybe.."

You sat back in the seat, listening closely as your eyes scanned out the windows.

"-two key suspects of the case, convicts of first degree murder and manslaughter Donquixote and Crocodile-"

"Damn reporters...don't have any good names so they just throw mine in..tch..."

He made a right, leaning his elbow against the door.

"Although the packages were displaced only a few blocks down, four seasons hotel and multiple stores have been cleared off for safety, families moving quickly for cover as not to be hit with the sensitive ammunition-"

"Sensitive? If it was sensitive shouldn't it have been detonated?"

"No no sensitive as in unpredictable, they don't know when they'll be detonated so its on a lock down.."

You looked at him as he spoke, a scowl on his face.

"Okay.."

"Hm."

He pulled up to the bar, parking and quickly getting out.

"Crocodile you said that we'd be going up to the club later tonight.."

"There's no time now, its no use of time to sit around and wait..."

You teetered out after him, quickly adjusting yourself before hurrying after him to the doors.

"Just stay close to me.."

You walked behind him, the smell of cheap cologne and alcohol wafting into your nose as you nearly gagged from the musky scents.

"Where is he..."

"I'll find that out..just don't talk..."

You stayed close to his side, looking around at all the people dancing and grinding in the dimmed lights.

He stopped, almost making you bump into him.

"Doflamingo."

"He's not seeing anyone right now.."

"Well I promise you he'll be seeing me, now I want to see him..."

"He isn't taking anyone at the moment sir..."

The two bouncers that towered above the crowds looked up at Crocodile, crossing their arms.

"Do we have a problem?"

"I think we do have a problem, sees your employer can't keep a schedule clear enough for one of his dear old friends..."

"Dear old friend huh? I don't think so pal."

"What's the girl doing with you?"

His eyes glanced to you, the coat covering you as you shivered slightly.

"She's the reason I need to talk with him...I'm done with these damn gang wars and I know that what he wants..she has..."

His grin turned sickly, curling his lips as his eyes darkened.

"So unless  you want a problem, I suggest you step aside and tell me where that damn flamingo is..."

The two men stepped away from the curtained entrance, a smaller man walking in front of the two of you as he made his way down a long carpeted hall.

He stopped halfway, looking at Crocodile.

"I'm sorry sir, but the  girl can continue but you'll have to stop here."

He didn't say a word, only crossed his arms as he looked down at you with a slight nod of his head.

"Don't cause trouble, I can't help you.."

You watched the same two bouncers escort him back down the hall, leaving you with the small man beside you.

"Just straight down the hall miss, go right on in...he'll be waiting.."

You nodded.

"Y..yeah thank you.."

He bowed, making his way back to the front.

You looked at the seemingly endless hall way, breathing in heavily as your eyes landed on the door.

"Okay...you can do this..you can do it

.just real quick..."
