°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
It had been three weeks after you had gotten to know the supposed birdman; and three weeks of getting anonymously signed bouquets and cards.
You didn't think very much of it at first, you thought they were for Crocodile given the many admirers he had, but soon discovered that they were in fact entitled to you.
It came as a somewhat surprise, not many people knew about you in the first place Crocodile rarely ever made public appearances with you, but you were at least a tad bit happy that someone was appreciative enough to recognize you.
As with today, you had woken up alone, not surprisingly, and went out to check the mail as you did every morning.
When you walked out onto the porch, a large flower bouquet filled with fresh, pretty (f/f) sat there with a silk bow tied around it.
You picked them up before going to fetch the postage, bills and junk mail like every other day, and walked back to the house.
You sat the mail on the table, sitting back as you plucked the little card attached.
"Beautiful as always missus."
The handwriting you couldn't recognize, but all the while a sweet little note that just made your day a bit brighter.
You heard the front door open, and the sound of shoes echoed throughout the dining room as Crocodile walked through the doorway.
"What are you doing in here?"
"Oh I just went to get the mail and.."
You lifted the bouquet off the table and raised it up to him.
"Someone sent me flowers.."
"Someone sent you flowers.."
He eyed the flowers warily, a thin eyebrow raised as he looked down at you.
"Any idea who?"
"Not a clue..all I have is a note that was attached and I can't recognize the handwriting."
"Let me see.."
You handed him the card, his expression changing rapidly as he narrowed his eyes.
"Keep away from these things.."
He threw the flowers away, the card crushed in his grip as he stormed from the room.
You frowned, peeking down at the now crushed and wilting petals, the card crumbled on the floor.
You picked it up and opened it, trying your best to smooth it out to keep the words legible.
You scanned back over the slightly distorted words and smiled to yourself.
'Oh well...its not like I'll get them all that often..'
You stuck the paper in your pocket and cast a final glance back at the dismantled bouquet before exiting the room.
You heard a knock on the door as you walked out into the hallway, immediately brushing off your other path as you made your way to the door and opened it.
Nobody was there, but a fresh new bouquet sat on the doorstep as you bent down to pick it up.
'Strange..'
You flipped over the note and closed the door behind you as you quickly walked to a sitting room.
'I saw that you couldn't admire the flowers I sent you for to long, so I sent another just so you know someone wants you happy'
You felt your cheeks heat up slightly as you looked over the soft petals and color of the flowers.
You delicately placed the note in your pocket as you quickly scurried up the steps to your room.
You locked the door behind you and rummaged through your closet before finding something suitable to put the flowers into.
You filled the glass plant bowl with some water, gently taking each individual stem and placing it in the bowl before it was completely filled up.
"Pretty.."
You ran your hand over the petals and hummed softly to yourself as you took the notes from your pocket and opened up one of the drawers in the large vanity.
You sat them in carefully and sighed.
At least someone made you feel good.
You quietly slipped from the room and locked the door behind you as you saw Crocodile coming down the hall.
"What were you doing in there?"
"I.."
You looked down and chewed on your lip.
"I was just cleaning it up, you know how things can get dusty. And since we share a room now I can just use this room as like..a storage thing."
He looked down at you with a raised eyebrow and shrugged slightly.
"I suppose you can, just don't spill anything or make any big kind of mess.."
"Didn't plan to.."
"Mm.."
He mumbled something and continued his trek down the hall before he slipped into a room.
You sighed and leaned against the door, closing your eyes as you slid down into the floor.
"Mhm..I love you too Crocodile.."
--------
"Damn Crocodile.. Can't even let a gentleman like myself give a pretty lady flowers.."
Surprisingly enough she didn't seem to keen on the idea of me sending her anything at first; well, she didn't know it was me of course.
She would've either left it on the porch for the gardener to throw away, or she'd bring it in and I'd never see it anywhere around the house; not even hid away somewhere.
I raised up my, fabulous, shades for a moment to look up at her.
A small little pink flush coloring her cheeks for a moment before she took them into the house.
I hopped over the little fence and cast a glance inside as she hurried up the stairs to the second floor.
I hopped on the little balcony beside the room she went into, perching near the window to watch her scurry around to fill up some water for her flowers.
I chuckled to myself as she picked up each individual little stem and placed it into the water, delicately running her hand over the tops of them before she took out two slips of paper.
A grin crawled to my lips as she stuck them in a drawer just below the bouquet.
After that she slipped out of the room quickly before a faint click was heard.
"Oh, you're hiding me from that dry man you call a lover. How thoughtful Y/n.."
I hopped back down onto the ground, pursing my lips slightly as the pink shades fell back into place.
"I'll have to come up with a better tactic..let's think of this one a bit more thoroughly Doffy.."

__________
The next day went by as normal: You woke up, went downstairs and ate a quick bowl of cereal, and went to check the mail.
You opened the door, expectant of a new little bouquet or card, but found nothing in place except for the mat that sat just below the door.
You felt a small pang of disappointment as you made your way down the stairs to the mailbox, flipping open the lid.
You blinked a couple of times before you pulled out a large box covered in a large pink bow, quickly grabbing the rest of the mail before you hurried back to throw the letters on the table.
You hurried to your room, unlocking the door, and sitting down in the middle of the empty space.
You carefully undid the bow, wrapping it up and setting it aside as you looked down at the decorative box.
You lifted the lid up and ran your hands over the card that was placed overtop some crumbled paper.
'Here's a box for when you don't feel as good as you should, always remember to smile, you don't know when someone might want a picture or two.'
You sat the card aside as you trashed the paper, holding up a picture.
You stared at it a minute before a blush rose on your cheeks.
It was you; but you didn't remember taking anything like this.
The other few photos were the same; all of which had you either staring directly at the hidden camera or facing away.
A chill ran up your spine slightly as you put everything back, setting it in the same drawer the notes were presented in.
You put the two little slips of paper in the box as well, glancing up at the flowers a moment before exiting back out into the hallway.
'What the hell...'
--------
Okay I'll admit it was a long shot, but she didn't call the police so it was a win in my book.
"Maybe something subtle..send her more flowers..yeah, help her fill up that empty room."
°°°°°°°°
You sighed softly, walking back down into the sitting room where you knew Crocodile would be at.
You looked into the doorway a minute before stepping and making your way over to where he was sitting.
You sat down beside him and leaned back into the couch as you looked up at the pictures on the wall.
"Mm..oh, Y/n...I didn't see you come in.."
"Its okay.."
"Mhm, you've been avoiding me all day it seems..would you like to tell me why?"
You looked down and shrugged your shoulders as you briefly glanced back at him propped against the back of the large couch.
"You just seemed to be particularly busy today, so I didn't want to annoy you or anything."
"Its always about work hm? Not things like how you just don't want to be around me anymore?" "I never said I didn't want to be around you, you're just working all the time it seems and I know how you don't like to be bothered."
"That seems to be a growing excuse that comes from you."
"Well its the only excuse I have when my supposed boyfriend works all day and acts like I don't even have a particular part in his life."
He went silent for a minute before you felt him get up from his spot on the couch.
"Why do you think I keep you around then?"
"I don't know..I would just say for sex, but seeing as though we haven't had any particular moments for the past three weeks I could toss that out."
"Sex hm? I wouldn't keep you around for sex, no."
He turned his back a minute before glancing back over his shoulder.
"I employ men and women workers here for a reason, so I don't have to depend on one person for some kind of fantasy."
You looked down at the floor and felt some tears pricking your eyes before you quickly wiped them away.
"Now give me an actually good reason why I keep you around if its not for my pleasure.."
You leaned back and crossed your arms over your chest as you gathered your legs underneath of you.
"I don't know.."
"My point exactly, you over think things to a point of where you make it out as a negative impulse I keep you around."
He turned back around and looked directly at you.
"Do you wish to leave me that badly?"
"No I don't, you just make it seem like you want me to."
You heard him chuckle deeply before you hung your head, a few more tears slipping from your eyes as he came around the back of the sofa.
"Do I really now?"
"Yes you do, you flat out ignore me even if we're out in public..you won't even let me hold your hand or arm or..."
Your tears spilt over onto your cheeks, keeping your best to stay quiet you bit on your lip.
"You won't even wrap an arm around me or anything..its like you don't want to be associated with me..you barely ever take me out anyway.."
You stand up and wipe your eyes hurriedly before he could even try to pull you to him.
You felt him grip onto your arm for a few seconds before he pulled it away, letting you dash up the stairs and to your room.
You closed the door and locked it behind you as you curled up into a corner of the room, muffled sobs echoing off the blank walls.
"I don't want to cry...I shouldn't cry...i..i need to stop crying.."
You buried your head in your knees as a tapping on the window caught your attention, making you look up.
A dark shadow loomed over the balcony and a small scream left your lips as a twisted smile lifted on the figures lips.
"Mfufu...its just me Y/n.."
"D-doflamingo?"
"Mm..call me Doffy.."
You backed up into the wall a bit as he tapped against the glass again.
"I can't come in if the door is locked Y/n."
"I don't know if I want to let you in..are you going to hurt me?"
"Hurt you?"
You heard him laugh a bit before leaning against the glass barrier.
"Why would I hurt you? Who do you thinks been sending you those little keepsakes and flowers hm?"
Your eyes brushed across the vanity and your cheeks lit up in red.
"Y-you've been sending me all of these things?"
"Correct little one, I have."
"Wh-why.."
You stood up and edged towards the door, keeping a shaking hand on the deadbolt.
"Because we didn't properly meet, if you can recall you left rather abruptly because of a little incident.."
You swallowed, slowly turning the lock to let him in. A cold breeze wafted into the room; as did the smell of cologne.
"Doflam-Doffy...he's going to be able to smell you.."
"Mfufu I don't think so."
You watched him close the door behind him and sit down on the floor, that same pink, feathery coat sitting on his shoulders as he sunk to the floor.
"So, a little birdy told me that you were having some difficulties with your 'hubby' just a few moments ago."
A grin lifted on his face, his eyes shining behind the pink shades.
"We-well I guess so..I was just being a bit overemotional Is all.."
"Mfufu...takes a lot to cry in front of someone you love don't you think?"
You looked up at him as you sat across from him, folding your hands in your lap.
"I guess so.."
"You guess so hm? Well, I'm here to make sure you don't cry anymore than you need to; and that's never."
You felt a blush on your cheeks as he leaned close to your face, his hand resting on your shoulder.
"A man would never make his lady cry, and as I've seen, you shouldn't have to deal with it."
"Doffy.."
He stood up, hunched over so he didn't bump his head on the ceiling.
"I brought you these, just for some comfort."
He held out another bouquet of flowers, a little flamingo plush hanging off it with another card.
"I'll come for a visit every so often, so don't feel all bad when I leave yes?"
"I-i...okay.."
You took the flowers and flicked the little flamingo attached, a small smile growing on your face.
"Mfufu, see you soon my dear."
When you looked up he was gone, nothing but the bouquet and a few pink stray feathers that fell from his coat.
You shut the door and quickly locked it, picking up the few stray feathers and grabbing out the box to place them along with the flamingo inside.
You opened up the small card and blushed as you read over the subtle words.
'This isn't our first meeting, and I hope it won't be our last. ~DD'
You chewed on your lip as you quickly discarded it in the drawer, making your way out of the room and locking it behind you.
"This is going get bad.."
°°°°
You say down at the table and looked up at Crocodile at the end, propped back in his chair with the newspaper engulfing his vision.
One of the maids sat a cup of his usually black coffee beside him as he took it and took a drink.
"How long do you think you'll be gone today.."
"Mm.."
He mumbled something under his breath and folded the page over.
"I don't know, it depends how much trouble I can get into."
You nodded and sat back in your chair, picking down on your plate as another drink was sat beside you.
"Thank you.."
You took a drink, a sigh leaving you as you rose from your seat.
Crocodile mumbled something at the end of the table, you looked back at him and raised an eyebrow.
"What...?"
He folded the paper in his lap and looked directly at you.
"I said have a good day.."
"Oh.."
You looked down and made your way from the room.
"You have a good day too Crocodile.."
You walked out of the house and sat down in one of the porch chairs, reclining back to look out in the large front yard.
You ran a hand over your arm as a small breeze swept over you, a sinking feeling settling in on your heart.
"Maybe he really does want me to leave..."
"Who?"
You nearly jumped at the voice, looking up at the grinning face of the unusually dressed Doflamingo.
"Doffy..you shouldn't be here, he's about to leave.."
"Mfufu..all the better to stay deary."
His lanky form walked over beside you, crouching down beside your chair as a small chuckle escaped him.
"So my theory is correct.."
"What theory?"
"No matter how early it is in the morning, or how late it is in the evening, you still look as good as the first time I saw you fufufu..."
"You really shouldn't say those things to me..he could hear you.."
He stood up, hunched over as a small frown darkened across his face.
"And why should I care if that sandy man can hear me? He has no power over someone like me, if anything he should be careful of what he says to you."
You casted your eyes down to the ground, a small tint of a blush crawling onto your face.
"Doffy please.."
"I won't stop until you finally realize who's better for you..its not healthy sticking around someone that sucks the fun and loving out of everything."
His grin returned to his face, an arm wrapping around your shoulders.
"Because I am obviously better than your so called 'SandDaddy'.."
"I..."
Again he stood, towering about you as he made his way around the corner.
"Don't speak yet, I'll be coming back later on. We can discuss it then."
His chilling laugh echoed through the air and you closed your eyes as the front door opened and closed.
"Y/n? What are you doing out here?"
"I'm just outside...I need some air.."
"Oh.."
He glanced over at you.
"Well, I need to get going..I'll talk to you when I get back I suppose."
"Yeah okay.."
He walked down the steps, looking back up at you once more before you watched him drive off, a small frown setting on your lips.
"I love you.."
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
And therefore my babies it will end.
For now anyway MWAHAHAHA because guess what? Now you get a choice:
A) doffy talks you into coming with him away from Crocodaddy, crocobabe finds out about the room and he comes to get you back
(Warning: drama and a lot of angstyness)
Or
B) You deny Doflamingo's advances and get uncomfortable and run to the heroic, overprotective, handsome-etc, Crocodile. Who then goes all Tsundere Yandere and has a confrontation with the flamingo man!
(Warning: There will be ALOTTA SWEARING AND FITE ME M8'S)
WHO WON?
WHO'S NEXT?
YOU DECIDE!
