Relax

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

Usually he'd keep to himself, locked away in his room or office trying to busy himself with something to take his mind off of things.

However you were there for him when he needed to let it out;all of it.

Specified for therapeutic purposes, that's what you were known for; what you were used for.

Specifically for him.

You sat at your desk humming at the thought of another visit.

You heard a small knock on the door and a smile made its way to your lips as you called him in.

"Crocodile, nice to see you again. Something troubling you?"
"Isn't something usually troubling me when I come here? What kind of question is that?"
"A question I have to sadly ask every time you proceed to seek my purposes."
"Okay! Stop with that fancy talk with me.."
"Sorry to annoy you my lord."
"Tch.."

His hand traveled along the several bookcases lining your office, stopping as a globe came in his way.

"What do we need to talk about this time?"

You settle back in your chair and looked over at him spinning the globe fondly, his eyes tracing over the small little intersections.

"I don't know.."
"Well you must know if you came down here to talk."
"Well your office is kind of my property; I hired you."
"I know boss man, and you pay good money to keep me around blah blah."

You heard a small chuckle escape his lips as he migrated to the chair in front of you.

"That is a fact you seem to have seared into your mind."
"I have to, I recite it every morning before I get dressed."
"How thoughtful of you."

A small grin appeared at the corner of his face, the tenseness you had seen as he entered was now flowing out as his body settled back.

"Talk to me Crocodile."
"Well, for starters, there's this kid that's running around the place...making a big ass dent in my plans..."
"Right right."

You leaned forward as the tall man reclined back, running a hand along the length of his face.

"That...Strawhat.."
"Those pirates?"
"You heard of them?"
"Yeah, heard they beat up a fishman, Arlong."
"Oh goodie..."
"Oh poor croco..."

His eyes lowered, focusing on his lap as he laid the large gold hook in his view.

His fingers traced over the metal, eyes following his movements as your gaze fell on his face.

"Crocodile."

He froze and slowly raised his eyes to yours.

"What?"
"Are you going to say anymore or sit there like a confused child?"
"I'm not a child.."
"Then talk."

He sighs and rises from his chair, making his way around the room.

"I don't know what I'm going to do....I don't.."

His gaze travels back to yours, something hidden in his gray and fading eyes.

"You don't what?"
"Nothing...you wouldn't understand.."
"Its my job to try and understand the problem."
"Well I don't have normal problems like others you've seen."
"There are no such things as normal problems, all problems are unique in its way as it effects the individual."
"Damn you and your words..."

His arms crossed over his chest as he turned to face you.

You noticed the stubble on his face and raised an eyebrow, a small frown slipping onto your lips.

"You look worn."
"That's what happens when you worry.."

You rolled your eyes as you walked up to him and took him by the arm.

"Well I'll try to make this visit a very relaxing one then hmm?"
"I suppose so...not saying I'm not relaxed now.."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I don't know..it just happens when I'm around you."

A small blush appeared on your cheeks, leading him from the room and down the hall.

"Well, that's good to hear."
"Where are you taking me?"
"I'm going to clean you up, make you look sharp."
"I can do that myself."

You scoffed and lead him up the stairs, pulling him along as he trailed behind you.

"Your room has a bathroom doesn't it?"
"Why wouldn't it?"
"Just asking boss."

You pulled him into his room, sitting him on the bed as you pulled your hair back.

"Shaving is where?"
"Shaving.."

He runs his hand over his chin and groans.

"Oh my god.."
"Don't worry, you look fine as usual your grace."
"Are you being a smartass?"
"Maybe..."
"Y/n."
"Yes, yes I am being a smartass, but it is better than being a dumbass."
"I suppose so."

A smile stretched across his lips as a small chuckle sounded from his throat.

"Okay okay..but seriously where's your shaving stuff?"
"Its under the sink, should be in a container."
"Got it."

You made your way to the bathroom, shuffling through the mess of unused bottles and tubes of creams and gels.

You took up a metal container, opening it up to see the familiar blade and brushes.

You hummed and made your way back to the now asleep Crocodile.

"Did I take that long, or is the bed just that comfortable- oh its the bed yep.."

You hopped up on the side and smiled at the soft feeling as you sunk down into the mattress.

You looked over to Crocodile and noticed the small smile stretches across his features,a warmness enveloping your heart.

"Awe.."

Your eyes scanned over his relaxed form, making your way to untie his shoes and settle them down beside the bed.

"Cold..."

You raised an eyebrow.

"Cold? All I did was take off your shoes.."

You watched his eyes open, a small tint of pink brushing across his face.

"Never mind, what were you doing again?"
"I was going to clean up that face of yours."
"Right right..."
"You know what? You seem especially tense today."

You flick on a lamp beside the bed and set the container beside it, scooting off the bed.

"I'm going to make that disappear."
"What are you talking about?"
"Just get undressed-"
"Undressed? Ohoho, what are you going to do to me?"
"Just..shut up and strip.."

He rolled his eyes and stood, slipping off his vest and shirt, untying the scarf from around his neck as he slid his slacks from his hips.

"Any more requests? You need these off too?"
"No you keep those boxers on, save that for another whore you bring in."
"My my, don't get defensive now Ms. y/n."

You sighed and slipped your shoes off and pat the bed.

"Back up here playboy."
"Fine.."

He crawled back up the bed, settling down in the middle as be ran his hand along his jaw

"I would've shaved myself if I'd known."
"Have you looked at yourself lately?"
"Not really no, been to busy with everything else."

You sighed as you turned his face away, smoothing out the shaving cream across his jaw and chin as you turned him back towards you to get the other side.

"What are you, a therapist and a barber?"
"I can be, you don't know what I do in my free time."

He chuckles, watching you closely as you flip open the small, sharp blade.

"Do you even know how to use a straight razor?"
"No, of course not, I'm just going to cut your throat on accident."
"Ha, fine. Go on and prove me wrong then."
"Will do, I always like proving you wrong."

You hum as you lift his chin up, running the blade across his skin.

"More comfortable now, hmm?"
"Mm.."

His eyes closed, and a smile presented itself on your face triumphantly as you maneuvered the razor under his chin.

"You sound relaxed, think you can talk more to me now?"
"Maybe.."
"Maybe?"

You sighed and run your hand over the now smooth skin of his face.

"There we go, you look even better."
"That was quick."
"Well, don't want to bore you to much with my presence now do I?"

You got up, walking back to the bathroom to wet and clean the razor before damping a washcloth.

You wiped his face, cleaning up any access hair or cream left over.

"Nice and smooth."
"Well thank you.."

You pat his cheek and chuckled.

"You're welcome, I'll leave you be now if you don't want to talk."

He grumbled something under his breath, a sigh accompanying him as he rolled over onto his side.

"Alright.."
"Alright...I'll talk to you when you decide to talk to me."

You cleaned up the rest of the mess, putting it all back underneath the sink before gathering your belongings and heading your way to the door.

"Wait...Y/n.."
"Hm?"

You looked over as he sat up, watching as he stretched slightly.

"I...want to talk now.."
"Good...good..."
"You can get comfortable if you'd like, it may take awhile."
"Mhm..will do."

You slid off your shoes again, making your way back over to him.

"No I mean like...really comfortable get really comfortable.."
"Crocodile.."
"I'm not going to try anything, and if I do I give you permission to smack me.."
"I'll take that as an offering."

You shrug out of your coat, unbuttoning the shirt underneath until you were left in the tank top.

"More comfortable I suppose?"
"As comfortable as I could be with you in a room."

You walk over to the bed and crawl up to him, crossing your legs as you watched him light a cigar.

"What? You want one too?"
"No no, I don't smoke with patients."
"Oh I see, you're still professional when around me when you make me undress."
"Have to be."
"No, you want to be."
"That is true, I can't just fraternize with people I work for."
"But I'm your boss, and I can tell you what to do."
"But I work for you and my job is critical."
"I can make it less critical."
"I don't need you to make it less critical, I want to make it so we can still talk with one another without being awkward."
"What is there to be awkward about?"
"Croc!"

You sighed and rolled your eyes as you crossed your arms.

"Just..let me talk to you about the problem you're having."
"Well, if you may ask, its changed recently."
"How so Crocodile.."

You looked at him as he raised up, groaning slightly.

"You okay?"
"I'm fine...just strained..."
"I can't believe I'm going to ask this but....you want me to rub you? Like, massage you or something?"

He blinked, his eyes holding a short spark of disbelief.

"Are you....serious?"
"I'm as serious as I was about shaving your face."
"Mm...I suppose if you'd like to..."
"Right.."

You shuffled behind him as he sat up, reaching up to pull him down.

"You can relax around me ya know..."
"Oh I know, I just don't want to make things awkward."
"Oh shut the hell up.."

His head rested against your chest, a grin forming on his face.

"Don't get any ideas...you know what you told me.."
"Oh I know, slap me if you're uncomfortable. "
"Will do."

You ran your hands over his shoulders and hummed softly.

"Talk to me, you've been putting off the conversation for awhile."
"Mm...well.."

He leaned back and looked up at you before relaxing back.

"The problem initially was that Strawhat boy, but it has changed rapidly."
"And how would you explain that?"
"Well, it was about an hour ago when I walked into your office."
"Oh I see, I'm the problem huh?"

You leaned away slightly, raising an eyebrow as he came up with his response.

"No-yes! Wait that sounds bad.."
"Mhm.."
"Okay..yes, you're part of the problem, but it's not a bad problem.."
"I've never heard of a good problem."
"Well that's what you are! A good problem!"

You blink, a blush crawling to your face.

"Uh...de-define a good problem.."
"The one behind me that is making me feel like something, when all of my life I've felt like nothing."

You nod, the heat on your cheeks radiating off of you.

"O-oh I see.."
"Now if you wouldn't mind."

He turned around and looked at you a moment, studying your face before leaning in close.

"Croc-"
"Don't. Talk. Let me."
"O-okay.."

He sat up, pulling you to him as he rolled onto his back.

"The problem for today, and for you to address, is you."

You nod, looking up at him with a dark lush.

His eyes wander down to yours and a small grin appears on his face.

"for the last two years you've been down the way in your office, letting me do as I pleased to let all my emotions and pent up frustrations out." "Mhm...I have...and have had multiple things replaced because you let out your emotions.."
"Heh, yes that is true..but you've been of help.."

You felt his hand run through your hair, a him releasing from your throat.

"More help then you think you've been.."
"Croc.."
"I'm being serious.."

His arms wrapped around you, your heart pounding in your ears as your face buried into his exposed chest.

"You somehow got underneath my skin, and buried deep into my long forgotten heart."
"Wow, I didn't know you could be oh so poetic croco."
"Hush, I am pouring out my emotions."
"Okay sorry.."

His chest rumbled with a chuckle and you raised your head up to meet his gaze.

He seemed hesitant, but you knew exactly what he wanted; or you assumed and hoped you knew exactly what he wanted.

Cause you weren't going to back out now.

You leaned up, pressing your lips to his gently as you felt him tense.

'Oh god please don't tell me-oh no never mind....never mind there he is..'

His arms tightened around you, and he pulled you closer as he relaxed back onto the bed.

You felt his hand go lower and you mentally rolled your eyes as you flicked the side of his head.

"Ow.."

He pulled back with a frown, his eyebrow raised.

"That'll be a visit in the near future..no
