Personality: Remi is an independent, sensible, strong willed, kind girl who thanks to the experiences she dealt with while growing up, makes her come off as cold when you first meet her. She hides her negative emotions after the death of her sister, she doesn't want to act weak around Tohru. Remi is very smart and observant, she knows if someone is hostile toward her or Tohru, she doesn't hesitate to protect the people she cares about, she won't be pushed around by anyone. She is very overprotective of her naive niece.

Backstory: Remi was born but she was an unwanted child by her parents who had enough of children because of their other child. They abandoned Remi and Kyoko took her in while she was pregnant with Tohru. Remi then grew up knowing that Kyoko was her sister and not her mother. When Katsuya Honda passed away and Kyoko became more overprotective of Tohru, Remi felt like she wasn't wanted even if Kyoko still showed her love. She knew she was never going to be loved as much as Tohru, which made her young brain think there was something wrong with her. Remi slowly but surely stopped smiling genuinely but thanks to her acting skills she got away with it most of the time.

In middle school the teachers thought because she was a Katsunuma she was a delinquent, because of her sisters reputation in the past, which resulted her in getting treated badly. Since whoever spent time with her was considered a delinquent Remi lost all of her friends and was either bullied or ignored. Remi kept to herself and didn't show she was getting hurt, she just dealt with it but this made her started to lose faith in humanity since people would laugh at her pain. Remi only had Tohru and her two friends, Uotani and Hanajima, who Remi thought was only spending time with her because they were Tohru's friends. Her past with people had twisted her thoughts on friendship.

By the time Kyoko passed away Remi felt completely empty inside, but because of the promise she made to her sister a few months previously, which was to look after Tohru if anything ever happened, she wouldn't show any weakness and stayed strong for the girl. Remi swore to herself that she would protect her niece which made her not grieve for her sisters death and her becoming colder to people who she didn't trust. This was to protect her already delicate heart.

She remembers Katsuya and the most of her young life but she didn't tell anyone until she meets Yuki. She felt comfortable enough to talk about it once when he asked if she remembered Tohru's father, since Tohru never mentions him.

• Every night Remi looks up at the sky and thinks about her life and everything that happened that day, it clears her head and helps her to go to sleep and calms her down.

• Remi was asked by Tohru to make the zodiac animals out of yarn for her. Yuki found interest in her doing it and watched her, he then got completely interested and just kept continuing to watch her since.

• At first Remi and Yuki kept their relationship a secret until the curse was broken and Yuki immediately pulled Remi into a hug. They called each other by their first names but added Kun, Chan and San when they were with people but alone just their first names.

• Younger Remi found an abandoned dog at the park when she was alone. Both became friends and they spent a lot of time together but one day the dog never returned to the park. Remi was scared for the dogs safety but found out it had been adopted and was happy for it even if she was sad.

• Remi was asked by Kyoko to look after Tohru if anything ever happened, Remi didn't understand completely, she thought like with bullying, so she agreed. When Kyoko died, Remi took it upon herself to look after Tohru which sadly didn't let her grieve as she needed to stay strong for the girl. By the end of the series she entrusted Tohru to Kyo since her job of looking after Tohru had ended. Remi thought is this enough Onee-San as she looked up at the sky as she broke down. She was then comforted by Yuki.

• When Kyoko found out she was pregnant with Tohru, she realised what she said to her mother was bad. It took her a while, about 4 months, but she went to her old house to apologise. This is when she saw her parents arguing with a crying newborn in the mothers arms. When they noticed Kyoko the father gave Remi to her and told her to take the child and leave, since she wasn't wanted. Kyoko feeling bad for Remi took her home and raised her with Katsuya. Kyoko wanted Remi to think of her as her sister so they didn't change her name to Honda.

• When Yuki went to the Sohma estate for New Years and got attacked by Akito while Kyo and Tohru went to Kazuma's house, Remi not wanting to go, faked an illness. She stayed behind after telling Tohru she would be fine and to go with Kyo, which the girl does eventually. She is alone for a night and finally has the time to just let herself stop acting, cry and deal with all of the stress she had been hiding. Yuki the next day goes to Kazuma's house and sees that Remi wasn't there. Worried, he then returns to Shigure's house before everyone else and sees her laying on the floor asleep, after she had cried herself to sleep the night before. This sadly resulted in her not feeling the best for the next few days.

• The day Tohru went missing as a child Remi had went out to find Tohru but couldn't find her, by the time she went back home Tohru was found and her sister and Tohru were hugging. To Remi it was like Kyoko didn't care that Remi was still looking for Tohru so she didn't go home for a while longer and just sat around the corner hugging her knees wanting to give the mother and daughter time alone.

• Remi from a young age had known that she was never wanted and even if her sister showed her love she knew she was never going to be as important as Tohru to her. Remi since noticing that her smiles automatically started to become fake slowly until they were completely fake by the time Kyoko had died. She started to smile genuinely slowly after she met Yuki and started to spend time with him and the other Sohma's.

• In Season 2, Episode 7 the scene where the shooting stars appear, instead of Tohru finding Yuki, Remi, who was on a walk, does and they talk. During the time of them walking on the beach towards the beach house, Yuki talks about that he feels comfortable around her. He feels like there was something about Remi that at that moment he couldn't put his finger on and it drawn him to her. He told Remi he doesn't want to be held back anymore by Akito and in a moment of confidence he said that he loved her. At that time he was still figuring out how he felt so he convinced himself that he loved her, which turned into true love the more he thought about it and spent time with Remi thinking of her as more than a friend. Remi who was shocked quietly told him that she loved him back, since she had never felt such a strong emotion towards someone before, and they share a small kiss under the shooting stars. She rested her head on his shoulder feeling overwhelmed at the surge of unfamiliar emotions she was feeling. They soon start to call each other by their first names after Remi called him Yuki.
