Backstory: Momoka grew up with Ibuki Munemasa who was her neighbour, Momoka would join him and her brother some of the time and she thought of Ibuki like another brother. When he moved away she was really sad. Momoka used to be pushed around a lot as a kid by the kids in her class because she liked basketball and was weaker than them. She used to have to do whatever they said and if she didn't they threatened to leave her and not be her friend, this continued until she met Kageyama Hikaru. After she talked to him and became his friend she started to feel more confident, he didn't leave her like the other kids did. Thanks to the boy she found the courage to tell her so called friends no and that she wouldn't do what they say anymore. She lost them as friends but she didn't care anymore she had Hikaru and a few other friends she made.

Other:

• Some boys scare her but she hides it well.

• Momoka was given one of Akihiko's club jackets one night when she forgot her coat and was cold. He let her keep it since it was getting too small for him, she decided to wear it when she became a manager.

• She is a very curious person which sometimes gets her into trouble.

• People have commented that Hikaru and Momoka are a cute couple even before they were a couple. It made Momoka very shy after hearing that. This also made Akihiko very overprotective.

• Momoka when she saw Hikaru wanted to join the soccer club, was very happy.

• She tries not to be but she sometimes can be a pushover to scary people like Tsurugi Kyousuke at the start of the series.

• Is very good at first aid after always treating her and her older brothers (Ibuki also) wounds when she was a child.
