Personality: Kishiko is a happy girl who hides her deepest emotions deep in her heart until she gets overwhelmed and she breaks. Even if she doesn't show it sometimes, since she doesn't want to draw attention to herself, Kishiko is very smart and knows if someone is hostile toward her. She can read peoples moods by their body movements and their attitudes and then decides what she does afterwards. Backstory: Kishiko's parents work overseas so she used to always stay with her grandmother, who was an retired famous koto player. Kishiko was bullied by the girls in her school because they didn't like how close she was with boys, making Kishiko scared to be around girls. After her grandmother noticed she was alone she introduced Kishiko to the koto. Kishiko loved to play with her grandmother but during her first year of middle school her grandmother passed away from a heart attack, when Kishiko was with her, leaving Kishiko alone.

Kishiko met Tetsuki Takaoka when she ran away from home because she felt lonely, he brought her to his house since she had injured herself. He surprisingly lived very close to her. Kishiko became friends with the male and stayed around him, that's how she met Chika Kudo. How Tetsuki acted around people rubbed off on Kishiko, making her not scared of girls who try to bully her anymore, but that didn't mean she was a fan of them. She had become very good at reading people thanks to her experiences. After Chika tried to avoid them, Kishiko and Tetsuki became very close and she felt very comfortable around him. He had become her support, she looked up to him for how strong he was. It was thanks to Tetsuki that she met Sane, Mittsu and Kota.

A year before the story started Kishiko who was a Koto student of Gen Kudo, thanks to him being a friend to her deceased grandmother and her being Chika's friend, had forgotten something at Chika's grandfathers house. She went back to get it and sadly witnessed boys smashing the house and the kotos. She was immediately attacked by the boys and badly beaten until Chika saved her, he had defended her and bent down to see if she was okay. After she weakly told him what she witnessed she passed out, shaking from the cold. When the police arrived they thought he had demolished the house and because Kishiko caught him he beat her up. Kishiko was taken away from a furious protective Chika who got arrested.

When Kishiko woke up in the hospital the police asked what happened. They didn't believe a word she said thinking that she was trying to protect Chika, because he threatened her, making Kishiko resent the police and some adults.

• Thanks to all of her past experiences she has learnt self defence.

• Thanks to her past Kishiko can never trust a girl fully at first until she gets to know them. She's very cautious.

• Owns her own Koto but still has the Koto that her grandmother owned but sadly it doesn't work anymore.

• Lives on her own, her parents send her money so she can pay for her bills and look after herself, she's very good at saving money.

• Kishiko's parents are very controlling, they are hardly home but when they are, Kishiko acts completely different like she is a completely different person. Her parents terrify Kishiko enough for her to never answer them back.

• Kishiko is an amazing cook and baker.

• After they became a couple Kishiko started to call Tetsuki Tetsu.

• Kishiko is a good teacher she taught Chika and his friends how to understand how to read the Koto notes.

• Kishiko is a fast learner, she picks up almost everything after watching someone do it or after being told what to do once.

• Kishiko usually stays over at Tetsuki Takaoka's house since she gets lonely and has panic attacks when she's alone.

• Lives very close to Tetsuki's house.

• In chapter 101-102 when Uzuki talks to Chika, Kishiko has a panic attack from seeing the person who was the reason she got attacked. The memories of everything comes flooding back and her PTSD kicks in.

• After the training camp, Kishiko didn't want to let her emotions take over and make her sick once again. After figuring out the reason why she was sick, she felt stupid for letting her one sided feelings, for Chika, control her mental state. She cut her hair to show her resolve to not let her emotions take over her again. Only she knew the reason for this and she told the others that she cut it because it was getting too long. Everyone could tell that she was feeling better because she seemed stronger than before. Tetsuki knew it must of been that she wanted to get stronger and not let her emotions take over, especially after the breakdown she had, he found it endearing.

• Kishiko was one of Gen Kudo's students and used to help around his house. When he passed away she was heartbroken but the loss made Chika and Kishiko become even closer friends. That only deepened her love for Chika.

• She fell in love with Chika after he saved her from being beaten, she was at the Koto shop at the wrong time, when it was getting attacked.

• Kishiko was deeply in love with Chika but only Takezo Kurata and Hiro Kurusu could tell. On Manga chapter 69 Kishiko could see that Chika loved Hozuki and was heartbroken. After she excused herself from everyone saying she didn't feel well, went to Tetsuki's house without thinking because she didn't want to be alone. He could immediately tell something was wrong, and after inviting her in, he got her a glass of water hoping that would help. She started to sob and told him everything while she hugged and clung to him wanting support. Tetsuki despite how angry he was at Chika started to soothe her. After a short while Kishiko had cried herself to sleep close to the males chest deep in his embrace. After the male knew she was fast asleep he had pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, he kept her close to him which seemed to soothe the girl. After that day Kishiko had started to feel different around the male and after learning what that feeling was, which was during the training trip where she fell sick, passed out with a fever and had to rest the whole time. She understood that she loved the male since he was all she thought about. She confessed to him pretty quick terrified of losing him as well. The male admitted he loved her back and he had loved her for years.

• Tetsuki has loved Kishiko for years but he could tell that she loved Chika and despite his own feelings he supported her. When Chika broke her heart he was angry at his friend but didn't mention anything to the male knowing it was better for Kishiko if he didn't. He then soon noticed she had started to act different around him until she confessed to him, he was surprised but quickly was very happy.
