She started to get picked on because she was very timid and didn't know how to make friends. She got a lot stronger then one day right before she started middle school she watched a tv show with her older brother, there was a character that was timid like her but she was determined to make friends. Erina after seeing how she acted decided to copy her in some ways when she started middle school and quickly became how she is today because of all of the friends she managed to make.

Extra/Trivia:

• Erina doesn't remember her first trial, she just remembers waking up on her older brothers back, when she asked about what happened he refuses to tell her. She doesn't remember what happened because when she was pulled up by the magnet she hit her head pretty hard against the ceiling knocking her out cold.

• When Sou (Shin) ran away after seeing the pictures of the real Sou on the computer Eri followed him worried about him and saw him go to the phone instead of the bathroom. She asked what he was doing even if she knew but didn't get an answer since the boy was in a bad state. After the trade he mumbled something under his breath, Erina heard it he said "He is dead Shin" which confused the girl.

• Erina would sometimes stay with Sou and Kanna in Sou's room overnight, she would keep Sou company while he worked on the laptop and Kanna slept. She was too frightened to sleep but when she was exhausted she would sleep in the room with her brother who she felt the most calm and safe around.

• When everyone got paired up with a doll she didn't get paired with anyone. They didn't get an answer why she didn't but it was probably because the dolls were there to support them and Midori didn't want the girl Sou (Shin) saw as someone he truly liked to have any support. Even if the boy dies he still doesn't like that Sou (Shin) liked someone like her, he wanted to make the girl he liked not have any support. The truth was that he was fulfilling his side of Akio's contract wish by not giving her a partner.

• Erina was a commoner for both the first and the second games.

• How both of the siblings got caught and taken to the game is that Akio had picked Erina up from a friends house which was pretty far from their house. It was pretty late since they had both stopped to get some food before going home. While they were walking Erina had been lagging behind since she was tired, Akio had turned to her about to complain when he saw that someone had covered her mouth with a cloth and started to kidnap her. When he was about to go save her he was knocked out cold by someone who was behind them. They were both then carried into a van and taken somewhere.

• Erina met Midori since he was one of her friends friend, he found interest in Erina and asked her if they could meet up again. Erina thinking it was to be closer friends agreed and met with him a few times. He then took her to an area which had a single swing which was tied on a tree above a huge lake and they talked about anything. She signed the consent form after he asked for her wish which was that she wanted for everyone she cared about to be happy and healthy. Midori lied by saying if she signed this she would have extra luck with being happy, she had laughed and signed it thinking it was a joke. Relationships:

Akio Fukuyo: Erina and Akio are very close. They both used to always be together as children but slowly they slowly stopped spending as much time together while growing up since they both did separate things but that didn't change their relationship in the slightest. She loves her brother and always feels calm and protected around him, she fully trusts him even enough to put her life in his hands.

Sara Chidouin: Erina is close with Sara. She always speaks to her and really enjoys her company. When Joe died Erina didn't know what to do, she wanted to help Sara but it was hard since she had never experienced what she had experienced. Erina then decided to not mention Joe hoping that might make her feel better. Over time Erina started to fully trust Sara and helped her as much as she could even doing some of the attractions with her a couple of times. Erina understands how horrible panic attacks are so when Sara panics because of the hallucinations she stays by her side so if Sara needs anyone she was there.

Joe Tazuna: Erina found being around Joe was fun, she loved how he acted and she felt surprisingly calmer when she was around him since she felt like she could rely on him even if she didn't. She didn't speak to him enough to fully understand him but what she did understand was that he deeply loved Sara and wanted to keep her safe. She was sad about his death and wished that she could of gotten to know the boy better even if that was now impossible.

Keiji Shinogi: Erina at first wasn't sure if she could trust him since she was shaken up about everything and thoughts how could he be so calm in a situation like this but soon she started to talk to him and quickly felt like she could trust him. She believes that she can trust his words and she can trust what he says. She sometimes gets creeped out when he can tell if she's nervous or is thinking about something that is bothering her. She just made herself believe that it was probably because he was a policeman and he could easily tell if someone is lying or isn't telling the truth because of it.

Kanna Kizuchi: Erina sees Kanna like a younger sister, she tries to help her emotionally. At first it was pretty hard since well Erina still has her older brother while Kanna doesn't have her older sister. She told Kanna that she wasn't her sister but she could talk to her if she ever needed someone to talk to. Kanna slowly started to feel calm and safe around Erina always relying on her and thinking of her as like another sister. If Kanna gets executed Erina is heartbroken but if she survives and Sou (Shin) dies they both stay close to each other and are inseparable.

Sou Hiyori (Shin Tsukimi): Like with Kanna Erina stayed around Sou but not as much as the other girl since she also had her older brother and wanted to make sure he was safe as well. She likes to see the best in people and decided to give the boy a second chance like Kanna. She then saw a completely different side of the boy even if he didn't show it, since then she has always been on his side knowing that what he does and the way he acts is to only protect himself and the people he cares about. She feels like she can be open slightly around the boy even when they are around other people he isn't the nicest to her. She knows too well that you change how you act when you are trying to protect yourself. If Sou gets executed Erina cries because she lost the one she loved but she keeps going and protects Kanna like he would of wanted. If he survives she sobs to him in private and apologises for voting for Kanna but she really couldn't lose him, Sou had an unreadable expression on his face for a few seconds but he quickly forgives her. Sou is then very overprotective of Erina even starting to show that he cares about her more than anyone, he doesn't hide how he truly feels anymore. He is seen to stand protectively in front of her more often after Kanna's death.

Reko Yabusame: Erina like with Sara spoke to her a lot, she felt comfortable and felt like she could talk to the girl without worrying. She didn't spend as much time with her than others did but that didn't stop her from liking to talk to Reko, she really liked how Reko sang, her singing was very calming and it somewhat made her think straight and not freak out and break down because of the situation they are all in. If Reko passed away Erina will be sad but decides to continue on and live for Reko. If Reko survives she left her alone to grieve for her brother but after that she tried to talk to the girl more but she felt like because she still had her brother it was awkward.

Nao Egokoro: Erina wasn't really that close to Nao but when she was with the others girls she spoke to her quite a lot. She was worried about her when Mishima passed away and since then she tried to cheer her up but deep down felt like she shouldn't be doing this since she wouldn't be able to smile if anything happened to her brother. When Nao passed away she didn't have a lot of time to be sad about her because her close friend or love interest died immediately after making her cry more for them then her.

Gin Ibushi: Erina loves and wants to protect Gin. She usually when they aren't in a dangerous situation would happily play with Gin and hug him a lot. She thinks of Gin as a younger brother and finds the way he adds meow and woof to his words adorable. She is always on his side even going far enough to argue with people who try to pin the blame on him when she knows fully well that he is a cinnamon roll and didn't do anything.

Alice Yabusame: Erina at first was kinda scared of Alice and tried to stay away From him but after seeing how much he cared for Reko she started to try and talk to him slowly but surely. She manages to do that but she doesn't get as close to him than maybe let's say Sara because she felt his aura was a little too threatening to her. If he passes away she is sad since she finally saw just how far he would go for his sister and respected him more than she once did. If he survives and Reko passes she tries to talk to him more and be more open around him.

Sou Hiyori (Midori): Erina met Midori when her friend introduced her to him, they met a few times alone and became close friends, or do Erina thought. He then took her to an area which had a single swing which was tied on a tree above a huge lake. That day she signed a consent form then she didn't see him ever again. She also forgot about him until she remembered her memories after the lantern was shown to her.

They were then immediately pulled up by the force of a magnet that was hidden on the ceiling. The collar then slowly started to choke them, while that was happening Akio was told that to save his sister he needed to press the red button or to save the girl he would have to leave the button alone. Akio didn't even think for a second and pressed the button, his sister fell to the floor while the other girl was strangled to death.

Relationships:

Erina Fukuyo: Aiko and Erina are very close. Aiko is very overprotective of his sister and knows almost immediately if something is wrong with her, it's creepy how much he knows how she feels it's like he can read her mind. He knows how to calm her down and knows how to push her buttons even if he wouldn't do anything to hurt her or make her suffer. He would put his life on the line for her if needed. If anything happens to her he won't hesitate to hurt the person who hurt her, only she could stop him so if Erina is no longer alive there is no stopping him.

Sara Chidouin: It took a while but she is one of the people he can put his trust in. He worried for her when she has panic attacks, depending on what happens to her he supports her in a way that he can which isn't the best since he isn't the best with words.

Joe Tazuna: Spoke to him a couple of times. They both understand what it's like to want to protect someone dear to them. After his death he decided that he wanted to watch over Sara, even if it was from the shadows most of the time, who Joe loved so much.

Keiji Shinogi: Found him suspicious at the start but slowly started to trust him after seeing he was pretty sharp. Sometimes shares information that he finds out with him. 

Kanna Kizuchi: Like with Gin he felt like he wanted to watch over her to make sure she was okay especially after hearing about her losing her sister, he would probably be broken if he couldn't save Erina. After Kanna became close with Sou he felt like it wasn't needed anymore. Well at first he wanted to keep watch but after seeing how soft Sou was with his sister he guessed that was how he was with Kanna but more of a sister kind of relationship and slowly calmed down watching her.

Q-taro Burgerberg: They hardly speak but Q-taro can see that he cares for Erina and respects him for that.

Sou Hiyori (Shin Tsukimi): Akio hates the way he treats his sister in front of everyone, he had snapped at the boy a couple of times because of it but once caught him talking to her completely different when they were alone and stayed quiet every since. He would only speak up if he put Erina in harms way. When he noticed how different he acted to her, after Kanna's death, he slowly started to trust him but only a very small amount.

Gin Ibushi: Became pretty close with the small boy feeling like he needed to protect and watch out for him. He sees how close he and Erina are and tried to be friendly as much as possible.

Alice Yabusame: Akio spoke to Alice a couple of times after he found out that Reko was his sister. They both agreed that protecting their sisters was most important and slightly bonded over that subject. They have a neutral relationship.

• Hiro was kidnapped on his way home from a gaming tournament that was pretty far from his house. He had dropped the money for the bus back home. He was then knocked out by a cloth covering his mouth and nose.

• Hiro was a commoner for the first and the second games. He was planned to be the sage on the 2nd trade but the idea wasn't added.

• Was paired up with Hinako in chapter 3, since there wasn't enough people he could be paired to he was given Hinako with Keiji.

• Hiro found the secret passage way in the kitchen while he was exploring on his own, he like Kai went to the rubble room but didn't go any further since he didn't feel like it was safe. When he went back he stayed quiet about what he found not trusting anyone enough to share the information. He told Keiji, when he followed him and Sara, he knew about this because he found it before the first class trial but he didn't trust them enough to tell them.

• When Sara and Keiji went to find Gin on the first floor he had went with them after seeing them together and followed them. He was spotted by Keiji who seemed to relax when he saw that it was Hiro behind them and not their enemy. Hiro then followed Sara and Keiji to try and find Gin.

• Hiro's first trial was that he was in a room where he had to figure out a code from letters that were carved into the wall and put them into a keypad, which was next to the locked door. He had 5 minutes to figure it out and the clue was that V means 5. If he failed smoke would cover the room and he could die from smoke inhalation. The numbers were roman numerals and he managed to figure it out in time thanks to the books he used to always read, if he didn't read when he was younger he would of definitely died.

• Hiro met Midori at a gaming convention when a member of staff, Midori, said that he had won something and if he signed this piece of paper he would be able to get it. Hiro didn't believe him thinking he was just dressed as a staff member questioned him, when he "proved" he was a staff member he reluctantly took the pen. Before he got to sign Midori asked what his wish was and he without really thinking, since he just thought that the man was just trying to start a conversation while he signed, told him. He told Midori that his wish was that he had the freedom to play games all he wanted and that he wouldn't have to go out to cram school for middle school since he was capable enough without it. He had said that's Hiro looked smart making Hiro look away embarrassed a little.

Relationships:

Sara Chidouin: At first Hiro thought that Sara was too trustworthy but that didn't stop him from being around her, he just stayed quiet about himself and only spoke when spoken to. He after the first main game started to trust Sara more feeling like he could try and put his trust in her like Keiji did. He doesn't know how to help her when she has panic attacks but he thought that being around her might help. He wanted to believe that him being with her would help.

Joe Tazuna: Hiro sadly didn't speak to Joe that much since he didn't trust anyone but himself before the first main game. He was scared after noticing how Joe died since he didn't want to die and felt like maybe he should of spoken to the boy when he had the chance.

Keiji Shinogi: At first Hiro didn't like Keiji thinking that he was a person he couldn't trust and he was hiding things from everyone. After the first main game Hiro's whole outlook of Keiji changed and he is seen mostly with the male who the boy had taken a liking to, he felt like Keiji was reliable after helping Sara. He has actually helped Keiji gain information about the killing game before but nothing extreme.

Kanna Kizuchi: Is actually in the same middle school as Kanna but didn't speak to her a lot before the killing game. He didn't like how Sou treated her but he didn't have any right to do anything since he had never spoken to the girl before now and this wasn't the place to get friendly with her. This didn't stop him feeling sad if she dies, and if she survives he takes talks to her a little more maybe out of guilt for not speaking to her fully until now.

Sou Hiyori (Shin Tsukimi): Hiro from the start felt like he couldn't trust the boy and he was hiding something. His suspicions were right when Sou snapped in the 1st main game, since that day he tried to stay away from him as much as possible since getting along with people like him would onto be bad in the long run. He didn't feel like he could even try and trust the boy especially after what he heard from Alice about him killing someone with his name, who was this guy? He didn't understand why Kanna defends him but he could tell that the older male cared for Kanna at the end. If Sou dies he feels sad that they lost another another friend? Well acquaintance. If he survives Hiro can feel the hostility towards everyone from him and stays away from him as much as possible.

Gin Ibushi: Hiro from the start was curious why Gin wore the clothes he did but he wouldn't question it since the small boy was still a kid. He didn't feel like he needed to protect the small boy like the older kids did so at first he didn't speak to Gin at all. After the first main game he forced himself to try and speak to people and Gin seemed like the easiest person to talk to, oh boy was he wrong. Gin called him weird hair which already didn't start their relationship off on the right foot but Hiro tried to get along with the boy that the older people seemed to trust.

Alice Yabusame: Hiro was immediately on his guard around Alice and he didn't understand why he felt like this until he found out he was a murderer and that he had killed someone called Sou Hiyori. When he heard him say that to Keiji he was even more confused, how was Sou alive or was the Sou they know now actually called Sou? He got to know the male and was sad if the male died thinking that he was actually a decent person when you got to know him. If he survives they continue to talk more.

• Became secretly fond of Gin after he spoke to her a couple of times in Chapter 3, Part One A, when Maple destroyed her room she noticed that Maples weapons were going towards Gin and stop it. She smiled genuinely to Gin and thanked him for being her first friend and was sliced in half.
