Nike Portland XC race
So I'm back updating shit.
Woohoo.
So let me explain the cross country race.
Every year, Portland hosts a national wide cross country day, and there's like twenty different races in one day. Each of those races are divisions.
The reason why it's so huge to win: Nike sponsors it. Everything there is Nike. Teams come from all around the USA to compete in this, including Hawaii.
Like, it's not just some local xc meet, I'm tellin y'all it's HUGE to win.
There's a bunch of divisions where it doesn't matter who wins, they only care about division one, two, three high school teams & a few others but that's it.
Me & the varsity girls competed in division three girls race, an our varsity guys competed in the boys division three race.
How you win: It's exactly like golf. You want the lowest amount of points to win, and the first FIVE people on your team that runs in that division race will be counted as point. As example, if you got 33rd and if you're in the top five runners that finish on your team, you add 33 points.
Now...for the grand finale...
OUR VARSITY GIRLS TEAM PLACES 1ST IN DIVISION THREE!!!!!! It was Me, Mac, Teresa, Cece, & Megan. That's our varsity squad that beat the shit out of everyone. We all finished so high that we all got medals for too finishers when we crossed the finish line. BOI, that's crazy!!!
We got 69 points. THAT IS SO FREAKING GOOD. The 2nd place team got 92 or 93 points.
We literally SMACKED 2nd place and below holy shit.
BOI!!!! That is HUGE!!!!
There were camera people EVERYWHERE.
We got a 1st place plaque and FREE NIKE BACKPACKS.
HELL YEAH I SAID FREE. BLESS OHMYGOD.
Our team is hella lit. Can't wait for announcements tomorrow cause I bet everyone's gonna be like "Woah...the VARSITY GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM GOT 1ST?!?"
Yeah BOI.
There were at least 200 girls running in our division.
I'm pretty sure there were like 1,000 or more runners there during the day. Usually teams bring a tent and place it anywhere as long as it's not in the course.
There's usually a billion tents. It's like tent city.
Just for y'all to get a picture in your mind of how huge it was to win :)
Now, switching back to Friday morning.
I literally woke up at 6:20 to get to school by 7:30, so I only brushed my hair in its natural state, put sweats on, grabbed my stuff, ate food and walked out. I didn't have ANY makeup on.
The team was meeting by the parent drop off area, which is right next to our basketball gym. So we're hanging around on one side of the courtyard.
Andrei & I were chatting, and soon it's starts sprinkling so I put on my hood. I'm wearing my black school basketball sweatshirt, and I wear it all the time. Soon, Cece and someone else joins the conversation.
So I'm just talking to them facing the courtyard, and after ten minutes of waiting for coach to get a bus, I see Ben just finish the steps and walking on the other side of the courtyard.
Haha, maybe I should've been facing the other way.
He looked over at us, looked away, but then started looking RIGHT AT ME.
UGH I WAS LOOKING RIGHT BACK AT HIM.
It wasn't for a couple seconds either, it was good solid six seconds.
He definitely recognized me by my sweatshirt cause I wear it so often.
UUGHH IM ACTUALLY DREADING TO GO TO SCHOOL TOMORROW BECAUSE OF HOW AWKWARD THAT WAS.
CRAP.
God. I mean, I was facing directly towards him.
I didn't even know he'd just SHOW UP WTF.
So after he's almost gone, I immediately start squealing and hiding myself in my hood because of how awkward that was. Cece was laughing her ass off and threw her blanket over my head to protect me. She was like "HE WAS STARING RIGHT AT YOU GIRL!!! HE TOTALLY LIKES YOU!!"
We were making a big scene while freshman were trying to just walk by. Andrei, I don't even know what he was doing cause I obviously couldn't see from the blanket that was thrown on me.
Like, I'm actually scared to go back. Fucking awkwardness. Fuck.
Somebody halp meh.
I can't shake this shit off, like it was SO OBVIOUS.
Cause the day BEFORE, y'all remember the ramen story.
I've given myself away.
HIDE MY PRECIOUS SOUL.
I never looking at him again in my life. I'm done.
About some pictures of our grand winning, our coach posted it all on Twitter, and our school's athletic Twitter account retweeted it, and EVERYONE in the school follows that account, including Ben. A bunch of popular people he follows also retweeted it so he got to see me in too many pictures DX
Kill me. I look like trash.
Oh well.
KevinMacias796 I said I was gonna post this last night, but I was too tired to even write. My bad :3
I've been tagged by a bunch of people to do the 100 facts thing, and I've only gotten four done.
It's hard to list facts when everyone knows everything about my majestic & glorious life.
The struggles are real.
