KATHERINE'S POV

Patrick was chatting with his cousin, Thomas Jefferson.

"Long time no see, sweetieee !" His voice was absolutely gross that everyone's eyes are on us. AGAIN.

I faked a smile "Ohh sorry, Patrick. I didn't see you there."

"Yeah, I have known you for years and I have probably noticed that you have problems with your eyes whenever you see me. Am I too actractive ?" He smirked.

Suddenly, Will whispered to me "Is he the guy ?"

Ohh, he thought Patrick was the guy whom I sit with at lunch. This was much more terrible. "Of course no !" I defended.

"Ohh, sorry." I saw a sight of relief in those beautiful eyes. Relief ?

I smiled at him and then turned to Patrick. "Sorry, I have to go with my sweetheart here ..." I smiled and clasped my arms tightly around Will. He seemed surprised and happy at the same time but that had totally pissed Patrick off. But he still tried to
keep calm. What a nice guy!

"Well well, it seems that the princess is playing with her new toy, so we'd better leave them there and see when the princess is bored. Maybe after today, her new toy will no longer be hers." He raised his voice as loud as possible, as he wanted the all hallway to hear it. Arsehole.

I was totally uncomfortable at that point. But Will spoke up before I could. " Kate, didn't you realize that your talking to a dog? I heard it barking right there. And he pointed to Patrick.

Oh poor Patrick! Public humiliation. I acted along with Will. " Ohh, I'm so sorry Will. I didn't realize that the dog was still barking. I think we'd better go now. You said that you want a tour around school, didn't you?"

"Right, we'd better go." Will smiled at me. Oh that smile ...

Suddenly, Patrick came near me. "Slut !" He whispered into my ears before turning away.

I gave him a blank look. Breath, Kate ... breath ...

He smirked again to hide his anger and walked away, followed by his cousin and his 'humming birds'. I smiled at Will like I'd earned victory.

But I stopped smiling when I saw Will staring at me "What ?"

He laughed nervously, "Uhh ... your arms ..."

I didn't realize I was still hugging him. "Oh I'm sorry, I forget that ..." I let go of him.

He cut me off and hold my hand, "Forget that. Let's begin our tour, shall we ?" He smiled.

I was so sure that the photo of these actions between me, Will, and Patrick today would rock the school's chat room.

"OMG, did you see that? He's the guy. And look, walking with Kate."

"Are they dating ? Hooking up ?"

"Why that new Prince is walking with the slut. Did she put him under her charm again ?"

"Ohh, here comes the slut ..."

I sighed. "Looks like your the slut's new toy now." I was sured that Patrick heard it all.

Will raised his eyebrows, "Toy? Slut? Are you crazy?"

"What? I've been called 'slut'for two years. I'm too familiar with that." I quoted with my fingers.

"Try not to be now."

"Why?" It's my turn to raise my eyebrows.

"Because I'll protect you."

I was dumbfounded, staring at the ceiling.

I tried to walk faster to avoid the awkwardness. "We should go now, lunch is coming soon."

I could feel that he was laughing lightly while following me like a little puppy. Such a cutie !

We walked through every conner of the school. Time flied and lunch time came.

"Kate, our last destination is the cafeteria, right ?" Will made a face.

"Oh right, my hugga wubba are you hungry ?" I cracked up laughing "Look like the 'lil monster is starving ! Haha ... " I tickled him that made him jump up and down continuously "Haha ... You're so ticklish !" And I continued to laugh.

In a sudden, he held me close. "Kate ..." What is he doing ? My face is burning like a tomato ...

And he tickled me.

"Seriously, Will ? You're tickling me ?" I asked him with raised eyebrows.

"I ... I was just ... taking revenge on you ?" He laughed nervously.

I made a blank expression, "Dude, not everyone is ticklish like you."

"Haha ... I know ... ". He laughed off the subject "Now, let's go get some food. You're hungry too, cutie patootie ?"

I was dumbfounded again. "What kind of nickname is that ?"

As we're 'staring' into each other eyes, Elliot turned up. "Wow, a new romantic love story, my Katherine ?"

"ELLIOT !" He jumped scare me. "What the hell your doing ?"

He suddenly smiled like an idiot, "I just come to remind you that ... I-am-having-a-date-with-Thomas !"

"Slow down, Elliot ... slow down ..." I was trying to make out what he was saying.

"A lunch date with Thomas ..." He whispered.

"Ohh with who? I didn't hear. I just heard the part that you left me alone for someone ? At lunch ?" I made a face.

"Alone ?" He asked with a mocking voice. "Kate, are you blind or deaf ? Didn't you see a honey bee standing right next to you ?"

We both turned to William.

He asked me, "So he is the guy ?", and pointed to Elliot.

"What makes you think that ?"

"He called you ... 'my Katherine' a while ago ..." His voice is becoming smaller and smaller.

"So your jealous now, hugga wubba ?" Mocking expression.

"Never mind." He turned away immediately but I could still see a sight of anger and embarrasiment in his blue ocean eyes.

I hit Elliot on the shoulder and ran after William.

"Try not to get a room, Kate." He shouted after me and laughed  his head off. Argh, I really hated that guy !

"William, wait ... Will ..." I shouted.

He stopped out of a sudden. "Why did you follow me ?" He seemed a little bit annoyed.

"Sorry ... it's lunch so I thought we could grab some food and go somewhere to eat ... if you want ?" He's still silent, "I'm sorry, Will ... you know I didn't mean like that ..." Still the silence, "Will, I just want you to be happy ... blend in the new environment ... make new friends ... I'm so sor-"

"Stop !" Will cut me off "Has anyone told you that your annoyed as f**k ?"

I just smiled and drew him to the cafeteria.

But he bumped into a 'plastic girl' and spilled half of her coffee on her pink mini skirt. Ohh nice !

She shouted with a supercilious attitude, "Didn't you see tha- ... Ohh, hello Prince ..." She smiled 'sweetly'. But her face turned black immediately, "... and Katherine."

I smirked, "Meredith, what a happy union ..."

"My dear Katherine, how can I forget a so-called cheater like you ?"

"Oh, but a cheater is still better than a jezebel, don't you think ?"

She seemed not to turn a hair, "Oh no, cheater has always been the worst. So Kate, where's your lovely old toy ?" She mocked.

"None of your business."

She smiled, "Oh sorry, did I piss of off ? Sorry ..." she suddenly turned to William, "... new toy. Have I ever met you ?"

He sneered, "I'm not into talking to bimbo. Sorry." And then he walked away.

Good retaliatory, William ! I was about to turn away when I realized what Meredith was going to do. The coffee ... spilled out of the cup ... and onto ...
