Don't need your butterflies
When they were sixteen, innocent but curious, Reo Mikage had found a rough gem that he took upon himself to polish. It was the first treasure that he really owned, not one he got from his rich parents, it was his, and his only. That said treasure was none other than the football genius, Nagi Seishiro. Meeting him was the first sharp note in the dull musical of the lavender boy's life, and Reo was ready to rewrite the whole piece using it as a beginning. Soon enough, the duo became inseparable and unbeatable in their new found talent: football.
While Reo got all excited about the brand new turn of his pre-arranged life, Nagi was unmotivated, as football was a hassle. Despite being quite fit and having an extremely flexible physique, Nagi was as productive as a sloth. Therefore, when Reo enthusiastically invited him to play football, he promptly rejected. It was not until Reo showed his undying persistence did Nagi give up and agree to play football with the rich boy, not without the said boy's promises to award him.
Nagi didn't know at the time, but there was something about Reo's purple eyes that drew him in. It was the gleam in those eyes, which had never once changed ever since he met him. That gleam was the one he had never seen in himself, the gleam of determination and devotion, the spark of joy and salvation, somehow. Nagi enjoyed watching those sparks, so he would occasionally sneak glances at Reo's big round eyes, just to seek motivation. And every single time, without fail, butterflies would crowd his stomach, fluttering like crazy, as if they were going to burst out through his mouth.
Soon after, Nagi realized Reo's determination to win the World Cup was more than just mere talk. First of all, Reo had talents. He was an all-rounder, he dominated and controlled the field to his liking, alongside with his incredible ability to lead, he became the emperor of the pitch. Nagi was comfortable just relying on him to pass him the ball, since his passes were always perfect, and they always showed Nagi how Reo wanted him to shoot, he didn't have to think, nor properly learn football strategies. Before he knew it, Nagi couldn't really play football without Reo. He had become addicted to the butterflies Reo gave him. But he didn't know the meaning of getting butterflies in the stomach yet, and he didn't feel like he should tell Reo either.
Taking advantage of Reo's interest in him, Nagi became dependent on him in domestic chores too. Nagi blamed it on Reo though, because the boy was spoiling him way too much, even in Nagi's book. Perhaps Reo was desperate to keep Nagi playing football with him, so he was willing to do anything that would lessen Nagi's burden and get him rolling on the grass field, which resulted in Reo acting like his personal maid. Nonetheless, Reo didn't seem to mind, and Nagi enjoyed Reo looking after him too, so where's the harm in just indulging himself? But deep inside Nagi, there was something telling him that he would willingly play football with Reo, even if he didn't look after him like a mother hen. He had fun, after all, and being with Reo had never been a hassle. Those butterflies, he could swear that all of them were in different purple shades, still visit him regularly, every time their skin touched, every time Reo complimented him, every time Reo coddled him, and just whenever he saw Reo in general. However, he still kept an unfazed facade, believing that Reo, being his smart and sensitive self, would definitely notice and ask him first, so he wouldn't have to risk breaking their friendship.
In their first 6 months of playing the sport, they had been inseparable, and unbeatable. The winning streak had been going on and on, they appeared on numberless news and got plenty of interviews, and was bestowed the title "The Miracle Duo". That was when they got the opportunity to crash against other gems, the ones who were as talented as them, and had had years of experience in playing football. Nevertheless, they were still unstoppable, so Nagi didn't feel any significant need to change, but Reo was thriving.
Reo growth was over the roof. He developed a skill of copying people, while learning all of their tactics and improvised them, making them his own. At the same time, he also acquired the legendary "metavision" without himself knowing it. That growth affected Reo's playing style, subtle at first, but the differences gradually increased, to which even Nagi, the aloof one, noticed. To be fair, he was the first one to acknowledge the alterations in Reo's plays. Number of the passes to him dropped significantly compared to when they started playing, more than often, Reo would get through the defensive line and score all by himself, using Nagi as decoy. Nagi felt the butterflies lessened, but Reo's powerful magnetic field's impact on him was still growing stronger day by day.
At first, Nagi felt relieved that he didn't have to do much on the field anymore and moreover, he felt proud of Reo, as if Reo's achievements were his too. It made him think back to their promise in the starting days: to win the World Cup together. So Nagi started to run, too. He was going to capture those butterflies that he cherished. Therefore, his play became more proactive. He positioned himself for Reo to pass to him more easily, he accompanied Reo through the guards, he passed to Reo so he could score . It was refreshing, a kind of feeling he had never quite understood before. Reo gave him yet another reason to love football, to love Reo . The fluttering sensation also came flooding back, stronger than ever.
However, as time went by, despite their boost of effectiveness on the field, and their strength together as "the Miracle Duo", Nagi felt Reo drifting away from him. They used to always get off the field and straight to the showers together. But now, Reo fell behind to discuss the match with the coach and other star players. Reo used to always wash his hair for him, and even scrubbed his back. But now, Reo chatted with others about skincare, hair care, all the things that Nagi knew nothing about. Reo used to let Nagi share his bed all the time without questions. But now, Nagi couldn't find him even in the middle of the night, and in the next morning, he would catch him walking out of someone else's bedroom, discussing strategies again, probably.
But Reo had always said that Nagi was his treasure, right? So there was no way in hell he would keep distant from Nagi. He was just being paranoid. Right?
Right now, when they were both 25, and were still together on their dream team, trying to take on the world, Nagi should just keep playing with Reo, as they were just a match away from achieving their dream together.
It was their last match in the World Cup, and the last minute of the game. Just one more goal and they would be victorious. Reo was having the ball as he sped to the end of the pitch, to the other's team goal. Noticing the purple blur passing by, Nagi took off running to get to the goal before Reo, so he could receive his pass, just like the usual. But he missed one tiny detail that the other team had Isagi Yoichi, the egoist with a weapon called "Metavision". Nagi's mishap was detected by the said player right away, and Reo also noticed it just a second later, but his dribbling wasn't slowed down. In response, Isagi quickly deployed another player to go head-on with Reo, while himself moved to guard their own goal. Seeing their situation, Nagi tried to seek another position where he could let Reo pass to him more easily, but his effort became excessive as a flaming head appeared across from Reo, seemingly out of nowhere.
It was Chigiri, the Red Panther. Although Reo wasn't looking in the Princess's direction, he passed the ball to him right on point, exactly at the very moment he got to the right position, as if Reo could feel his presence. Chigiri received the perfect pass with ease and kept speeding from the middle field, leaving everybody in his dust. Their Red Arrow only stopped when two players from the other team teamed up on him, to which Nagi thought he should move, only to see Reo had already in his place to receive a pass from Chigiri, rhythmic as if he had been moving in accordance with the Princess. Just like Reo did before, Chigiri made a pass to the Chameleon without looking and broke through the two players in the first second their eyes left him.
Just like that, they assisted each other through the field, in perfect sync as if two bodies were one, as if they were the perfect duo . All Nagi could do was to watch in awe as Reo received the final pass from Chigiri and beat the goalie to score magnificently. As Reo's shot curved beautifully into the goal, Nagi felt something in his heart jolted, the butterflies started popping like fireworks. This was his Reo that he was so proud of. His Reo was shining in all his glory, but Nagi couldn't quite catch Reo's eyes, which he loved so much.
But when the pride was subdued, a different feeling came surging in. An ugly one. Jealousy. The play taught him the truth the hardest way, that Reo had always been an independent player who could just link up with anyone and create a flawless goal; while Nagi could only thrive in Reo's passing rage. He spent too much time on the field looking for the purple shadow to assist him that he missed his own opportunity to shine by himself and to assist Reo . It could have been Nagi who assisted Reo, not anyone else. His ego as a striker had always been being Reo's pass's final station, where the purple head could entrust his dream and passion.
The stadium erupted as the ball pierced through the goal, drowning out the sound of the whistle signaling the end of the match. People, especially fans, were on edge when they watched Reo and Chigiri force the ball across the pitch, and were now chanting their names in joy, in admiration, in pride. However, Nagi was discontent with their own victory, since he only got to link up with Reo once to score his own goal, while Reo got off his way to link up with everybody else and made the field his own. Therefore, Nagi felt like he didn't get to play with Reo enough, which made this not their victory, thus they didn't achieve what Reo set out in the beginning. The thought of it made Nagi feel bothered, but he couldn't pinpoint what that emotion was.
The players from their team shouted joyfully and ran to the two to celebrate their win, with Nagi trying to pass through the bodies to get to Reo, whom he wanted to be with the most. The white head was secretly hoping he would be the first one to get to Reo, to compliment his play, and let him jump onto his back, like the norm. Maybe this time, he would carry Reo on his back, to let the world see his Reo clearly, to let them see their strong bond. His heart jumped at the thought of having Reo on his shoulders, while being squeezed by his milky yet firm thighs. Nagi got to Reo and Chigiri first, thanks to his speed and top-notch flexibility, but Reo's eyes weren't on him like they had always been. Instead of looking at him, Reo lugged towards Chigiri, who was also speeding to him, then shared a high-five while jumping up high in the air. The look on Reo's face was pure happiness and pride. Upon watching the scene, Nagi could finally know what he was feeling. He felt left out, felt the butterflies in him dropping like rain. It's not like he had never been alone before, but that was prior to when Reo carved a space for himself in his life, in his heart. That was when he forgot how to be alone, because Reo's constant companion had always been loud and vibrant, he couldn't stand going back to his quiet gray self.
Nagi listlessly watched as Reo tugged his damped hair behind his ear, something Nagi always found captivating, and complemented Chigiri, almost shouting due to the loudness around them.
- The last play was awesome, Red Panther! Your assistance was crazily on time.
- I was just looking for a goal myself. - Chigiri playfully punched his arm. - But I have to admit it, we make an incredible duo.
- Of course! - Reo stuck out his tongue as he delivered a punch right back.
Nagi stopped in his tracks as he heard Reo's answer to Chigiri. They made an incredible duo? Stop kidding, Reo and Nagi were obviously the best duo. Just a mere chemical reaction between them couldn't possibly mean their combination could surpass the original duo. Sure, Nagi couldn't make a play with Reo this time, but they had made plenty of plays together in almost half of their life, Chigiri should have known that and used some other words. Reo was Nagi's partner first. They were the perfect duo first.
As Nagi froze, the players passed through him to lift Reo and Chigiri up for a parade, to which Nagi couldn't catch up, despite being 1.90 meters tall. The other bumped into him and accidentally pushed him out of the circle, leaving him to follow them, unable to touch Reo, much to his frustration. What infuriated him more was the fact that Reo didn't celebrate with him, or just look at him even once. Bitterness filled his mouth, it took everything in him to not push through the team to get Reo, get him far away from Chigiri. He knew that Chigiri was not the one to blame, but the raging flame inside him needed something to devour .
The team moved up to the podium, and they wordlessly agreed with each other that Reo would be the first one to hold the cup as he was the most significant player throughout their journey to be here. Nagi's eyes were still fixated on Reo as he received the trophy, as his lavender eyes glimmered, and as he raised the cup up into the air in triumph. Nagi felt his heart soften when Reo finally got what he wanted and what he deserved, his mouth curved up slightly into a smile and his legs carried him to Reo on themselves. His love for Reo overflowed and easily put out the fire of jealousy that was fuming just a while ago.
But then, right after letting Reo have his moment, Chigiri beat Nagi to Reo and clinged onto him with his arm around his shoulders. To Nagi distraught, Reo didn't seem to mind and continued enjoying the hype of the World Cup Champion without Nagi by his side.
It was not until they got to their hotel did Nagi get to talk with Reo properly. After arriving at the hotel, the players quickly get to their own room to get some rest, while Nagi took the opportunity to go straight to Reo's room, still sweaty with his jersey on.
- Nagi? - Reo called as he saw the white haired man following him into his room. - You wanna shower here?
Why did Reo sound like this was the first time? They had always been doing this since both were 17.
- Yes. - It wasn't quite what he wanted, but he could make do with that.
- Do you bring your clothes?
- I left some at your room. - Nagi shrugged.
- I returned those to your room yesterday. I thought they got mixed up in the laundry. - Reo scratched his nape as he explained. - I'll fill the tub, so go get them.
- Okay. - Nagi said and got out.
As he walked to his room, which was just next door, Nagi wondered why Reo returned his clothes. It wasn't like Nagi had never left his clothes at the other's room, and Reo always kept those so Nagi could shower at his room any time. And Reo knew that Nagi loved showering at Reo's, since the lazy one could just sit still and let the purple head do almost everything for him. So just why on Earth did Reo throw his clothes out? Nagi didn't have the strength to think anymore, thus he just quickly grabbed what was needed and got back to Reo's room.
Upon arriving at Reo's door, Nagi heard muffled laughter from inside the room. He opened the door just to see Reo on his bed, half naked, laughing to death while Chigiri hoovered above him, also half naked and laughing like there was no tomorrow. Nagi didn't waste a single second, he closed the door behind him, stormed to the bed and forcefully pulled the red head by his shoulder off his Reo.
- Ouch! It hurts! - Chigiri whined. - You grabbed my hair!
Nagi was fuming without knowing why, but logic didn't matter now that the redhead was getting too close to Reo, when he was supposed to be the closest to him, both literally and figuratively .
- What are you doing to Reo? - Nagi ignored his cry and confronted protectively.
- It's okay Nagi, it was nothing. - Reo reassured.
It was fucking not! He had his hands all over your skin! You haven't even let me scrub your back! - was what Nagi wanted to scream, but he didn't have the chance as Reo continued:
- He was trying to get me to try his self-made body lotion, which is dangerous without being tested by an actual scientist, Chigiri! - He spat the last part at the redhead.
- I told you, it was passed down through generations! I can use it just fine. - Chigiri insisted. - I'm just giving you a business opportunity here.
- But he's not gonna need it either way. - Nagi argued. - He has no time for that as a footballer.
Reo flinched at his words while Chigiri had wide-eyes and looked at Reo questioningly.
- Did I say something wrong? - Nagi asked as he noticed something was off.
- Um... Well... - Reo was struggling to find words to say, for the first time in Nagi's record.
- Should I just... ? - Chigiri pointed to the door, signaling that he would let them talk in private.
- Yes. - Nagi said, sounding serious for the first time in a while. And he was furious too, to think that Chigiri knew something was up with Reo, while he was completely clueless.
- Alright then. But remember my offer, Reo! - Chigiri swiftly got out of the room, much to Nagi's comfort.
The noise of the door closing was the last sound they heard before the silence came crashing into their ears. Nagi detested the fact that Reo was not uttering a single word, it was unsettling compared to his usual talkative self.
- Why don't you just take a shower, and I'll tell you what's up? - Reo offered after a while of unbearable quietness.
- You're not gonna get in with me? - Inquired Nagi.
- Why would I? We're all grown-ups, we should have our personal space, shouldn't we? - Reo replied like it was the most obvious thing on Earth, which Nagi didn't anticipate.
- Sounds like a bother... - Nagi mumbled, he'd rather have Reo washing his hair all his life than that "personal space" thing.
- Growing up is that much of a hassle? - Reo chuckled. - Sounds just like you.
- And you don't sound like yourself at all. Wash my hair for me, Reo. - Nagi whined as he rested his chin on Reo's shoulder.
Reo sighed and pushed Nagi away. The larger one was taken aback by Reo's attitude. He used to be fine with Nagi resting on him, being close to him all the time, even when he was exhausted, and he would even encourage it. In a fleeting moment, Nagi felt Reo closing away from him, throwing him into a void, where there was nothing but loneliness. That was how powerful Reo's sigh was. It was the sign that Reo got tired of him, Reo had finally found him boring, which Nagi had always secretly tried his best to prevent from happening, ever since he knew Reo was unbelievably fast to get fed up.
Despite Nagi's crisis, Reo acted like nothing had happened and led Nagi into the bathroom, where the tub had already been filled with lukewarm water. He followed Reo and took the chance to inhale deeply, taking in Reo's scent which always smelled like lavender. Nagi didn't know lavender could be so comforting, so endearing. It made him feel like floating, and he floated back to when they had a habit of showering together after matches, so they had the same lingering lavender smell. While Reo was checking the water, Nagi took off his clothes to get into the tub. Hearing the sound of clothes ruffling, Reo turned around, and he averted his eyes to look everywhere but Nagi's naked body. Placing a hand on his nape, a habit when he got awkward, Reo threw him a towel and told him to wrap it around his hips.
- It's a hassle. You're acting strange. - Nagi confronted. - It's been so long since we last shower together and you won't even take your clothes off.
- Nagi, it's... it's complicated. - Reo sighed, again.
- Are you getting tired of me? - Nagi asked straightforwardly, the hurt was evident in his voice.
Nagi saw Reo's purple pair of eyes that he adored so much widened as he looked at him, like a deer caught in front of the headlights. Like someone got caught doing something they shouldn't. Like Nagi had hit the nail on the head.
- Say something. Why are you so quiet? - Nagi pressed.
Reo took his eyes off him, once again avoided looking at his body, and still remained silent. Nagi went silent as well, however, he was not about to drop the problem. Seeing Nagi's determined gaze, Reo gave in and started explaining, eyes pinned to the ground as if the bathroom tiles were nothing he had seen before.
- Regarding the topic when Chigiri was here. - He said, sounding tired. - I'm quitting football.
- ... What? - Nagi asked, dumbfounded.
- I said I'll retire, Nagi.
- But... why? - Crestfallen, he asked.
- I... have had enough. I'll inherit my father's career and become a businessman. That was meant to be.
- What do you mean had enough? What do you mean meant to be? Weren't you the one who was so determined to go against your father to play football?
- I got what I wanted. We won the World Cup.
Deafening silence engulfed them. After dropping the bomb on Nagi, Reo waited for him to speak with an incomprehensible look on his face. Meanwhile, Nagi was devastated. Emotions were hurling up a storm inside of him. Confusion, betrayal, disappointment,... everything was all so new and overwhelming at the same time. He didn't know what to think anymore.
Why did Reo give up on playing football? Where did that passion go? What will Nagi do now that he was left behind, all by himself? How did Chigiri know this news even before him, Reo's best friend? Was Reo really closing him out, or was Nagi not trustworthy enough? Was he so bad of a friend that Reo had to find someone else to share his thoughts, his future? Hadn't Nagi been a part of his future, his dream this whole time ever since they met like how Nagi made Reo the main part of his dream? And most of all, how could he single-handedly decide that they had fulfilled their promises, when it was supposed to be mutual?
There was so many questions Nagi wish to ask Reo right now, but what rolled off his tongue was:
- You won't tell me until you have officially quitted, right? You intended to hide this away from me, didn't you?
- I'm sorry. I couldn't find the best moment. But I swear, I was going to tell you soon!
- You promised... You promised that you won't ever leave me! - Nagi's voice cracked as he raised his voice at Reo, tears threatening to come out. - You broke your promise about winning the World Cup and about being with me!
- I'm sorry. - Reo muttered, he shut his eyes closed, not wanting to look at Nagi.
- Look at me, Reo! - Nagi caught Reo's face with his two hands as he said, forcing Reo to open his eyes and look directly at him. - Are you going to abandon me?
- It's nothing like that... - Reo trailed off and chewed on his lips, unable to explain himself.
- Then what is it really? - Nagi squeezed Reo's small face between his two hands, fighting back the tears as he continued. - What about our promise to be the best strikers in the world? You wanted to break it too?
- You can still be the best striker without me, Nagi. Whereas I can only thrive in the mid-field. You'll be fine. - It would seem like Reo held back an eye roll.
- I won't! - Nagi bellowed. - How can I ever play football without you! You... you suddenly came into my life, then pursued me to play football with you,... you wrote yourself all over my life, Reo. I can't be complete without you ever again.
Nagi was blurting out more words than he had ever done in his whole life as talking was always a hassle and for most of the time, he had Reo who understood him even more than himself, and was always willing to speak for him. However, if it was their relationship which got put on the line, he would do anything to protect it, let alone just getting some words out. As he said the first things that came to mind, he knew his sentences were a mess, his words were cheesy, but he also believed Reo would understand everything he was trying to convey.
- You just need time to get used to it, Nagi. - Answered Reo so calmly that he almost sounded emotionless.
- No! - Nagi straight up opposed him, for the first time in their life-long history. - I can never, Reo. I need you. I need your support, I need your passes...
- Don't you think it's time for you to develop a new play? - Reo suggested, it seemed like his patience was thinning by the second. - I thought you had realized it. That you couldn't depend on me forever.
Nagi heard something in him shattered. The images of the matches came flashing back like an old tape, showing him the times when he couldn't catch up to Reo passes, only to realize it was meant for someone else, or when he couldn't outrun other players of their team to assist Reo, or when he was completely useless in Reo's scheme... Although the world believed that Nagi was the better player, Reo was actually the heart of his play, the only one who could bring out the football spirit in him. Memories crumbling down on him pushed him to a brutal realization.
- So that's why you stopped passing to me? Is that why you stopped looking at me? Is that why you were shutting me out of your life? - Nagi breathlessly demanded.
- I was just preparing you for this. - Reo responded coldly. - I've changed, Nagi. I can't be the boy who was attached to you all the time anymore. And I like the new me. However, the Mikage can't grow without a leader, so I have to sacrifice my football career to take care of it.
- Did you really have to sacrifice us too? Is what we have together, after all this time, dispensable ?
Reo broke their promise. He changed without him. He would leave him alone. Terrified by the idea of losing Reo, Nagi pulled the smaller figure into his tight embrace, as if he was afraid that he would run away. Goosebumps covered his body, he was cold but he didn't know why. Nagi shook like a leaf in the wind, hands gripping onto Reo like he was his only life source. He didn't have the chance to say anything before Reo pried his hands off his frame irritatedly.
- I told you, stop doing this.
His words fell like rocks into Nagi's stomach, making him feel nauseous, butterflies threatening to come out. He couldn't react when Reo stepped back, looking at him sternly to warn him something about his boundaries. He felt numb, and he couldn't hear what Reo was saying anymore, but somehow the words still pierce through his heart like millions of daggers. When Nagi could finally find his hearing, he heard Reo spoke:
- I'm bisexual, Nagi. Keep appropriate distance from me. We're just friends .
- I don't know if I'm gay or not, - Nagi breathlessly answered, his lungs felt stuffed. - But I know for sure that I love you, Reo.
- ... So you do love me? - Reo said in a self-mocking tone with a bitter smile. - It's late, Nagi. Way too late. I lost those butterflies long ago . I let them go . So please, let me go, will you?
- You love me? Like, that kind of love?
How did he not notice this whole time? He had always got his eyes on the smaller one, yet he didn't even dream of this day, when he finally got to hear Reo confessing to him. However, due to his own stupidity, he was too late.
- I did. - Reo stressed. - As in "not anymore"
- We can still make it happen, Reo! - Nagi desperately said as he gripped both of Reo's shoulders. - Please. I can catch those butterflies for you again. I can share with you some of mine.
Nagi was well aware of how pathetic he looked right now, begging for Reo to stay with him. But that didn't matter. Actually, what could possibly matter when their relationship was at risk? His hold on Reo was so hard that it left the smaller one wincing, but he was not about to let go.
- Nagi, it hurts. Your butterflies hurt. I don't want them, ever again.
Reo's declaration was as sharp as a spear, which pierced through Nagi's heart, opening up a void in his now throbbing heart. So being with him hurted Reo. Being with him was something Reo had to tolerate. The butterfly he gave Reo had turned to dust because of the pressure he had been enduring. Because he left him first. He came back, but Reo was still hurting without his acknowledgement. The realization gushed over him like a tsunami, drowning out all of his rational senses.
Without a warning, Nagi sprung forward like a snake and captured Reo's lips in his own. In his embrace, Reo let out muffled protests and struggled to get away, but Nagi's grip persisted. Reo's nails dug deep into his skin, leaving crimson bruises, but the stinging pain set the butterflies in Nagi ablaze, making him thirsty for more of Reo. Following his impulse, Nagi used his tongue to pry Reo's mouth open, forcing himself into his hot damped mouth. Despite himself, Reo let out a moan into their kiss, teary eyes closed due to the stimulation. Nagi noticed the salty streams rolling down the other's rosy cheeks, he bought his hands to softly hold his face and wipe away the tears with his thumbs. He left Reo's mouth to kiss his puffy eyes softly, dabbing away the water, making Reo let out a few sobs.
- Please don't leave me. - Nagi begged.
This is not enough. He wants more, more of Reo. He desires Reo. He wants Reo to be his own.
He stuck out his tongue and lapped at Reo's smooth cheek. He had always wanted to touch the other's velvet skin like this, to feel his heat so close to him, to be so intimate with him. Nagi held Reo tighter, as if he wanted to carve him into his body, making both become one.
- I've been keeping your violet butterflies for so long, Reo. Let me give you mine.
Their lips met again, this time calmer, softer. Nagi took the lead and nibbled on Reo's lips, taking in all of the sweetness of his now swollen pair of pink lips. Reo let out a stifled groan and opened his mouth to welcome Nagi inside, to which Nagi gladly followed. His tongue slided against Reo's soft one, pushing his butterflies into his small mouth. Soon enough, both of them joined a sloppy dance while pressing their bodies against each other, seeking for connections. The link resulted in their nipples standing up, hard and aching from sensual sensations.
This sensation is so intoxicating. If he is not careful, he might devour Reo right here and now, even without his consent.
Nagi's lips trailed off Reo's to his sharp jawline, placing kisses along his way down to Reo's porcelain neck. He heard his beloved's breath hitch, but there were no protests, so he took his chance to snake his hands around Reo's slim waist and took a bite off his neck.
- Nagi! - Reo hissed. - It's gonna leave a mark!
- That's what I intended to do.
- You...! - Reo was speechless so he covered Nagi's mouth with his hand.
Nagi caught Reo's hand in his own, which looked way bigger in comparison, and started licking it instead. Reo was torn between retracting his hand and letting Nagi do whatever he wanted. However, he gave in not a second later when Nagi looked at him with a burning look, a look of desire, and whispered:
- Reo. I love you. I want to fill you up with my butterflies. - As he growled the last part, he placed Reo's hand on his shoulder, his other hand traveled up and down Reo's lean figure, only to get dangerously close to a certain area under his belly button.
He is finally here. He is close enough to feel Reo's heat from his most private part. He is going to make this part his own, make it so that Reo can't have anyone but him.
- Nagi. - Reo sternly called him as soon as he found his voice.
The purple head sighed and removed his hand from Nagi's shoulder, almost forcefully and pushed Nagi away. Nagi, mildly surprised, saw his violet orbs darkened as they scanned Nagi's muscular physique. He didn't have a split second to think when Reo scoffed and mocked him:
- You got hard just from touching me? Just how much do you crave this body of mine? - Reo gripped his chin with force as he smirked. - To think that I didn't even realize it. And to think that you didn't tell me half a word!
Reo started to crackle up, but his laughter was hurtful and spiteful at the same time. His eyes were dull, unlike how they had always been whenever he laughed in front of Nagi, they had lost the shine that Nagi swore to protect. Seeing Reo crumble before him, Nagi wanted nothing more than to embrace him in his arms, to do whatever made him happy, no matter what it was. His desire to protect Reo was so strong that it made him act on his first impulse, making him open his arms and step forward to wrap him around the shivering body of his first crush. The only thing he could see was Reo's face crumpled in rage before receiving a slap to his face.
Nagi staggered, his ears deafened by constant ringing, his eyes blacked out, his cheek stinged, his mouth was slowly filled with the flavor of blood. All of his senses were numbed, so he had to hold on to the wall in order to not plummet to the cold hard floor. He could still see Reo's figure in front of him, breathing heavily and shaking in anger, looking so unfamiliar to him. But then again, he was his Reo, so seeing him in this state hurted Nagi to no end. It hurted even more, knowing that he was the sole reason. Nagi had Reo's raging image forcefully carved into his heart and burned all the butterflies to ash, the fluttering sensation that he treasured so much was mercilessly ripped away from him, by the very person that gave him it in the first place.
However, he felt like he deserved it. He felt everything Reo felt the moment his palm met his face. It was like Reo gave everything he had into that swing: his regrets, his bottled up feelings, his unspoken confessions,... to finally let go of his grudges. Nagi now knew for sure he was never going to have Reo back the way they were before, but he still harbour so much love for Reo. He wanted to believe that, even if it was just a blind wish, his love could put out Reo's fire, he could make this relationship work, he could make this relationship something even more.
- Nagi Seishiro! - Reo bellowed, his voice put out Nagi's hope like it was a candle in the middle of a storm. - Don't. Ever. Dare. To. Touch. Me. Again! I resent you, I want nothing to do with you, and I want you away from my life!
- Reo... - His name rolled off his tongue like a natural reflex, but he couldn't find his words.
- We were both foolish, Nagi. But I got out of that phase, without you and it will be the same way from now on. I don't need you, you are just my first failure in investing.
Nagi was crestfallen . Never, even in his worst nightmare, had he ever imagined Reo thinking of him as a mere disposable object. His pride in being Reo's most precious treasure was now crushed, trampled on heartlessly by his very owner. The words swirled around his head, reiling him to the ground, on his knees in front of his Reo. His mind was still blurry when he heard himself saying:
- I'm still your possession and I'll forever be. You can use me, whenever you want. Isn't that good enough to keep me around?
- You want me to use you? What can I do with a failed project? - He stressed, wanting to edge Nagi to the utmost despair, despite the fact that he was falling apart himself, seeing his first love on the floor begging.
The Nagi deep inside his heart was better than this, he wanted nothing to do with this but his heart kept aching for him. He ached for the fact that the Nagi that he fell in love with was beautiful and glorious, was unbothered and prideful in his own way. It was him, Mikage Reo, who reduced him to a pitiful being. He couldn't stand looking at the man he ruined now or anytime. But Nagi persisted:
- You can use my body. This is the body you've trained. You have every right to have your way with it. I will satisfy all of your fantasies, so you needn't find anyone else.
He whispered as he inched forward to sandwich Reo's leg in his thighs, his hands slithered up his thigh and caressed it.
- Nagi. - Reo warned. Despite having said that, Reo had no way to pry Nagi's iron grip off him and the man knew that, so he held on to his opportunity to let his hands roam.
- I can be your househusband. I can be your slave. Let me be with you.
Nagi said while his hands moved to pull Reo's pants down, revealing his boxers. Without looking at Reo, Nagi dived in and placed a kiss on the bulge between his legs, then grazed his teeth on Reo's velvety skin before removing his last piece of clothing, showing his manhood. Not wasting a second, Nagi took the shaft into his mouth, and hungrily sucked it, filling the air with obscene sounds.
Nagi heard Reo's breathing became more and more labored, felt his fingers threaded his white locks so he started sucking more aggressively while sliding his tongue along Reo's member to gather all of his essence . He teased the tip and violently bob his head up and down on his length as he felt Reo getting near to his climax. Pre-cum was mixed with his own saliva and got leaked out, so he slurped it in, not wanting to waste even a single drop, making lewd sounds in the process.
As if it wasn't stimulating enough, Nagi's hands found their way to Reo's buttcheeks and spreaded them, making way for his fingers to come in and tease his quivering hole. He brushed his fingers against the small mouth, letting the cool air play with the moisturized hole, before pushing a finger inside. Instantly, Reo's insides clamped down on his finger, while his hips jolted, sending himself deep into Nagi's throat, making him gag. The vibration from the gagging and groaning from Nagi's throat sent waves of sensual satisfaction straight to Reo's hard member. With a final moan, Reo shot his load deep into Nagi's throat.
Nagi released Reo from his mouth then proceeded to open his mouth widely, showing Reo the result of their lewd activities before swallowing it down and traced his tongue around his lips to make sure he didn't miss any of it. Reo was flabbergasted upon seeing Nagi with half-lidded eyes reeking of sexual thirst, lips covered in saliva, liquids leaked from the corner of his mouth tracing down to his Adam apple.
- You like seeing me like this. - Nagi's lips tugged up slightly as he pointed out the obvious to Reo.
- ... Do whatever you like. - Reo sighed in defeat as he led Nagi to his bed.
He lay down on his back and let Nagi hover over him, his eyes still showing his craving for Reo, and he couldn't wait for a second longer.
- You're now my sex slave. Do your job properly.
- Yes, master.
He's still the closest one to him after all. And that was all that he needed.
