Lucy's POV -

After hearing Natsu say the words I've been longing to hear I knew what I was going to say back because I feel the same way. "I love...". "FAIRY SLAYER MAGIC DEATH RING RELEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Gray and Loke shouted in unison, making their magic circle beneath them light up and blast out a huge black wave of magic. As it made its way to Natsu and I, the wave crushed and destroyed everything in its path. This is the end, and not even Natsu or I could stop it... In that last thought I closed my eyes preparing for the violent end to come, but instead I felt a muscular pair of hands forcefully push Happy and I, which made us harshly fall on the ground. Whoever pushed us, pushed me so hard my eye sight left me for a minute causing me to not see what was yet to come.

Huuuuhhhhh!!!!! I gasped for air as I sat up and felt the magic around me begin to evaporate. Wait, hold on!!! What's going on!!!!!!! WHY AM I ALIVE!!!! LUCY, WAKE UP!!! I was now shaking my head left to right to gain my sight back. Slowly but surely I could feel my sight come back to me to find what I thought my eyes would never see. Lying in front of me was a lifeless Natsu...

Natsu POV -

"I love...". "FAIRY SLAYER MAGIC DEATH RING RELEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Gray and Loke shouted in unison, letting out a huge black magic blast heading right in Lucy and I's direction. I can tell by the way the blast is destroying everything in its path that it's meant to kill us. What Loke and Gray didn't realize is that dark magic like that comes with a price. For them the magic took over their bodies, enabling them to see that the magic aura was set to kill all members of Fairy Tail, including Lucy; therefore coming to the conclusion that their reign of terror and making Lucy their Queen won't come true. Knowing that this magic will probably end up taking so much power out of Gray and Loke, it will end up killing them too, once they release it, because it's death magic. I'm not ready for Lucy to face that fate yet, and without thinking I looked over at Lucy and Happy with peacefully closed eyes, and harshly pushed them on the ground with all the strength I had left.

Lucy's POV -

My body is now shaking, the fear that's building up inside me felt like I was about to explode. I trembled as I tried to get ahold of the steady ground beneath my rocking feet. The cold harsh liquid started to block me from seeing what's now in front of me. As I slowly made my way over to Natsu I could see Gray and Loke's bodies start to turn invisible as their bodies began to disappear at the price of using death magic. Shining sparkles glimmered off of their body as they floated into the wind. Wiping the tears from my eyes, I finally had a clear view of Natsu... I'm now standing beside him. Something about the air just changed; I could feel small snow flakes begin to descend from the sky, dancing along the strong winds. Kneeling down to Natsu, I touched his hand to find it to actually be a little bit warm. "Natsu, are you there?!" I asked as my voiced cracked from the cold. "Luuuucccyyy..." Natsu moaned. OH MY GOD HES STILL ALIVE?!? Without thinking I instantly burst into tears and laid my head and arms on his stomach, hugging him with all the joy I had left in me. "Natsu I love you!!! And I know we don't have that much time left together but I just wanted to say-" *sniff*. "Lucy, I love you too but I have to say this quickly..." *cough, cough*, "Never look at your life as something insignificant. Never forget those friends of yours that you loved. I may not be able to see you, there may be hundreds of miles between us but I'll always be looking your way. I'll be watching over you forever. I love you, Lucy," Natsu said breathing his last breath. "Natsu why did you have to jump in front of that blast?" I looked down at his limp body. I was still holding on to him for dear life as the snow started to fall even heavier. Why did this have to happen? The only man I ever loved, once full of energy, determination, and warmth is beginning to turn cold. He's never been cold! I could feel more tears coming down now. Natsu was so strong and determined which made everybody in Fairy Tail want to strive to become not only better wizards but comrades. His once warm arms always reaching out to protect me are now pressed to the ground. I slowly rose up sitting beside him to look at him. I was so close to him that I could see all the scrapes and bruises he has from the blast. I looked down to find my hand lightly combing through his hair. One thing that caught my attention was the thick warm blood sticking between my fingers as I ran my fingers through his soft hair. "Why did you have to leave me!!?!???" I screamed, burying my face into his neck while wetting his scarf with my tears. Natsu's scarf... I wonder if he would want me to have it. "What happened?" Happy's weak voice said behind me. "Happy, Natsu saved us from the blast, but..." I began to choke up at the words not allowing myself to finish them. I could hear the light patter of Happy's foot steps in the snow as he laid down on Natsu. "Natsu!! You have to wake up!!! Who's going to take me fishing and go on missions with me?!! Why did you have to leave me!?" Happy cried. Looking at Happy's and Natsu's guild marks I began to speak the words that I've been trying to say this whole time. "Natsu....... *sniff* I wanted to go on more adventures with you".
