for the purpose of cuteness, morning breath doesn't exist in this oneshot
__
The first thing I woke up to was the sensation of someone's hands caressing my sides, pressing kisses on the back of my neck. I felt Sanemi's body push against me, his legs lazily entangled with mine. Yawning, I stretched a bit and relaxed, snuggling further into my fiance's warm hold.
"Good morning, Sanemi," I murmured, taking his fingers and placing light kisses on top of them. He hummed and only held me more securely, shifting so that his chin was positioned just above my shoulder. Laughing a bit as he pecked my neck, I turned around so that I faced him, dewy eyes reflecting the morning light that shot into the room from cracks in the window.
Sanemi's gaze was unusually calm whenever he'd look at me. It was something special, like he'd never been angry before. I knew he tended to be pretty brutal, and I didn't like that, but I could usually get him under control. With me, the Wind Pillar seemed to be a whole different person -- calm, caring, gentle -- the complete opposite of what others described him as.
I blinked a bit, and let those thoughts go, wanting to be able to truly enjoy the moment with my soon-to-be-husband.
Parts of him seemed the relax as I started to trail my hands up and down his chest, touching the ripples of muscle that weaved through his arms. Sanemi sighed as I massaged the knots and kinks, teeth tugging at his bottom lip, eyebrows furrowed. His hands gripped my hips and brought me closer, rolling my figure on top of his. I softly yelped at the movement, feeling his lips come into contact with my collarbone, teeth grazing gently across my skin. The Wind Pillar lifted his head to plant a peck just beneath my ear, eliciting another gasp out of me.
He chuckled at my flustered reaction, hot breaths trailing down my neck as he kissed it. Through the nips and small licks, Sanemi's lips curled upwards into a devious smirk. I was worried that he might make noticeable marks, but was too weak to intercept -- I was basically putty in his hands.
"We're almost married and you still act all surprised and shit," he mumbled, voice muffled, "It's fucking cute, though." He stopped with the pecks to teasingly grin at me. I rolled my eyes coyly and folded my arms underneath me, placing my lips against my fiance's. He moaned at my touch, and I could feel his fingers gripping my thighs, curling around the flesh and squeezing.
Sanemi seemed to speak through the contact. The way he handled me, treated me, and made me feel loved was especially intimate. His heart pounded ever so steadily as he kissed me, lips and tongue moving in sync with mine. We separated, much to my displeasure, with a small smack. My half-lidded eyes glazed over with adoration, taking in every feature of my fiance's face. The grey-haired Pillar laughed and brushed his fingers through my hair, tangling the digits inside my tresses.
"Good morning to you too, (Y/N)." I smiled and laid down on his chest, cheek soaking in his warmth. One of his arms was strewn across my back, holding me into place, with the other pulling one of my legs up. My eyes fluttered shut as I listened to the thrum of his heartbeat, a constant melody that matched mine.
I began to fall asleep again until I heard a snicker and felt my body being lifted up, bridal style. Sanemi grunted as he hoisted me up, but smoothly carried my figure off of the bed and into the bathroom. My face flushed, an uncomfortable heat rushing to my cheeks, singeing the tips of my ears and nose. Looping my arms around my fiance's neck, I started to stammer, words getting lost in the process of coming up.
"As much as I would like to stay in, we gotta get up," the Wind Pillar huffed, placing me down gingerly. As soon as my feet touched the floor, shivers ran up my spine, goosebumps prickling my skin with the sensation of needles. Shuddering, I hurried to run into Sanemi's arms again, in hopes of being able to get some of his heat.
I relaxed as soon as I reached his body, taking in the familiar scent of ebony and musk while bathing in what seemed like a sauna compared to the coldness in the atmosphere. Humming in pleasure, I couldn't see the surprised look on the Wind Pillar's face, as well as the small blush that was forming along with it.
"Stay with me a little longer," I mumbled, "I'm cold." I heard Sanemi sigh and reluctantly embrace me, strong arms cradling me like I was the most precious thing in the world. Nuzzling against him, I felt wanted. I felt needed.
Out of all the things I could've wanted at the moment, just being with him was the only thing on my list. The world seemed to fade away as long as I was with him, blurs of grey and yellow streaking across my vision, replacing the scene of the bathroom. It was a blessing to be this close to Sanemi's heart, to be able to connect with him in a romantic way.
In the mornings that we wake up together, I knew I could always trust the fact that he would be there, either sleeping peacefully, or waiting for me to rise. Being comforted by kisses instead of the ratchet sound of a bell was more comforting than I initially appreciated -- it even became my ideal wake-up call.
I relished in the sensation of being in the Wind Pillar's arms, to be so close to his heart without any attempts to push me away. It had taken a lot of time and patience, but in the end, I thought it was worth it.
He was kind, more so than I could've ever imagined. His touch was gentle, like butterflies dancing across the surface of my skin. He handled me in the way a darling child would handle their porcelain doll. I seemed to be so fragile, that at the slightest mishap, I'd break, shatter into a million tiny pieces. His love was never fleeting -- always present, always there by my side.
Sanemi was the light of my life.
And I was the luckiest person in the world to be with him.
