"Hello?" Artemis asked as she walked into a lab in New Jersey while in an older form (17). "Is anyone here?"

"Hello," a woman with brown hair and green eyes, wearing a white blouse, a green skirt, a lab coat and white shoes with red stripes with red rectangular earrings. "Ah, you must be a new trainer, correct?"

"Yes," Artemis replied. "I am Artemis Gabena."

"And I am Professor Aurea Juniper," the Professor replied. "It's nice to meet you Artemis."

"Nice to meet you, Professor Juniper," Artemis replied.

"Follow me and I'll show you around and give you what you need to start your journey," Prof. Juniper replied. After giving her a tour, Prof. Juniper showered her three pokemon and handed Artemis her Pokedex. "Scan these three then pick the one you want to start out with."

Artemis looked at the Pokemon that was blue and white and had a shell on it's stomach, before scanning it with the Pokedex, which said, "Oshawott, the Sea Otter Pokemon. It fights using the scalchop on it's stomach. In response to an attack, it retaliates immediately by slashing."

She then looked at a pig-like Pokemon and scanned it with the Pokedex which said, "Tepig, the Fire Pig Pokemon. It can deftly dodge it's foes attacks while shooting fireballs from it's nose. It roasts berries before it eats them."

She then looked at the final Pokemon, which was colored green and had a spork shaped tail, before scanning it with the Pokedex which said, "Snivy, the Grass Snake Pokemon. It is very intelligent and calm. Being exposed to lots of sunlight makes it's movements swifter."

Putting her Pokedex away Artemis looked at the three Pokemon a little longer before making her choice.

"I pick Snivy," Artemis said as Snivy smiled and said, "Snivy!"

"Here's Snivy's Pokeball," Prof. Juniper said handing the goddess a red and white sphere, before handing her five more. "Any questions?"

"None that I can think of," Artemis replied. "But if I do, I can either call you or I'll just ask Percy."

"Percy?" Juniper asked. "As in Percy Jackson?"

"Yeah," Artemis replied. "He's a... a friend of mine."

"How is his partner doing?" Juniper asked. "Is he still feeling any side effects from Zekrom's power?"

"His partner?" Artemis asked.

"Oh, so you don't know who his partner is?" Juniper asked. "That's odd... He doesn't go anywhere without Pikachu."

"Pikachu?" Artemis asked. "I don't think I've heard of that Pokemon before... Are they common around here?"

"While Pikachu can be found all over the world, it's less common to see one around here in the states, or New York to be specific," Prof. Juniper replied.

"Thank you," said Artemis.

"Your welcome, Artemis," Prof. Juniper replied with a smile. "Now get out there and become the best trainer you can possibly become."

Artemis nodded confidently and said, "I will. Thank you again, Professor, I'll take great care of Snivy. I promise."

The Professor smiled once more and watching the new trainer walk out of her lab said, "I have no doubt about that, Artemis, no doubt in my mind."

When Artemis arrived outside, she crouched down and said to her partner, "Would you rather stay out of your Pokeball or stay inside it?"

"Sni, vy, vy, Snivy."

"So Pokeball?" Artemis asked in conformation as Snivy nodded. "Alright then. Snivy return!"

A red beam shot out of the Pokeball and hit the Grass Snake Pokemon who disappeared and returned to a spherical piece of technology.

"Next stop, Camp Half-Blood," Artemis said as she disappeared in a silver light.

Day 10:00 AM; Camp Half-Blood, Big House

When Artemis arrived at the Big House, the new Pokemon trainer stumbled and had to lean against the wall as she looked as if she ran a marathon.

"W-Why do I feel so weak?" Artemis asked herself as she carefully walked to the door to the porch. "Hello Chiron. Do you know where Percy is?"

"Why do you need to know where that runt is?" Mr. D asked as he read his newspaper.

Artemis then brought out a Pokebal and said, "Come on out!"

Snivy then appeared in a bright flash of light and said, "Snivy!"

"So I see that you also have one of those disgusting little pests," Mr. D sneered. "I was hoping that they'd all die off by now."

Snivy, not liking the things Mr. D has said about her kind, jumped up and with her tail glowing green, struck the God of Wine in the face and Artemis immediately took out her Pokedex, pulled up Snivy's information and said, "Snivy, you just learned Leaf Blade!"

Pulling out her Pokedex, Artemi scanned the new Pokemon.

"Houndour: the Dark Pokemon. Around dawn, its ominous howl echoes through the area to announce that this is its territory."

A small black dog with grey stripes on it's back and a red lower face, came bounding up to the Big House and immediately tackled Snivy and a voice called out, "Cerberus! How many times do I have to tell you not to tackle other Pokemon!"

"Pika, Pika, Pika!"

Turning to the new Pokemon, Artemis scanned it as well with the Pokedex saying, "Pikachu: the Mouse Pokemon. And the evolved form of Pichu. It can generate electric attacks from the cheek pouches located in both of it's cheeks."

"Houn, Houndour, dour."

"Snivy!" Snivy then used Quick Attack and knocked the Houndour away, before it's trainer, who is Nico di Angelo, arrived and said, "Cerberus return!"

Once the Dark Pokemon was returned to it's Pokeball, Nico said, "Sorry about that. Cerberus is just a little... excitable. I'm Nico. And this is Percy and his partner, Pikachu."

"I know who you are, Son of Hades," Artemis replied with hidden amusement. "Along with your cousin. I'm Artemis."

"You... Don't look like Artemis," Nico replied with a confused expression. "I mean, you have the hair down along with the clothing, but the eyes are all wrong."

"What are you talking about?" Artemis asked confused. "They're silver... Right?"

"Nope," Percy replied. "They're sky blue."

"You've also been weakened, Artemis," Mr. D told her. "The only reason I knew that you were you, was because of the silver flash of light you made after flashing here. I'm thinking that you were weakened because you chose to be a trainer."

"How would being a Pokemon Trainer affect my powers?" Artemis asked.

"If I know Arceus, and I do, I'd say he made it so that once a deity chose their starter Pokemon, they'd become as strong as a child of the Big Three," Percy stated holding his chin. "You became weaker after flashing here and since it was after choosing your first Pokemon, you lost a lot of power. Does that make sense?"

"Surprisingly that does make sense," Nico said after a moment of silence.

"Surprisingly?" Percy asked his cousin with a raised eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing," Nico said a bit too fast.

Percy sent his cousin a weak glare and said, "I'm sure you'll say that when Pikachu shocks Cerberus into next week."

"Perce, you know that Cerberus is just beginning to be trained," Nico said. "He won't be able to battle all that well against an experienced trainer and Pokemon like you and Pikachu."

"Then how about I battle you?" Artemis asked. "Snivy here does seem to want to have some vengeance when your Houndour Tackled her."

"Snivy!" Snivy nodded.

"Your first Pokemon battle," Percy said with a smirk. "Are you guys ready?"

"Yes," the two of them said in unison.

"Then lets get to the arenas," Percy stated. "I'll be the referee."

The two new trainers glanced at one another and smirked before Nico said, "Lets get the battle started then!"

"I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I agree," Artemis said. "Lets get this battle started."
