𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓, 𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒, 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄. The king shouldn't be so naive to her, she was much stronger than he predicted for her to be. Physically that is. The distance couple dined once more, and Y/N was dismissive and disobedient yet again. However, there was a slight difference.
Sukuna watched from the shadows down the hall was the goddess herself feeding her dinner to the couple of servants nearby. Usually, if he spots one of his servants or subjects stealing any of his goods he-much like another god, good or bad- would kill them with hesitation.
With a beautiful mind comes a beautiful face, she was the exact definition. She was the unforgettable light in this twisted world. His twisted world. She reminded him of someone.
Could it be Lilly? Yes, Lilly was her name, a mortal that was his father, a god, married. She was kind, caring and selfless, the mother was as strong as Y/N but had almost everything the magnificent goddess could do.
Sukuna vanished from shadows into his library, the thought of mother conquered his mind. He never knew his mother personally due to his abusive father, whose name will never be in his mouth, hid his child away from Lilly after the gods didn't approve of their marriage, and soon killed her because of her mortal philocaly.
Little Sukuna refused to live with his father after what felt like centuries of burning pain and torture, each scorching burns marked his soft skin, these burns soon turned into his infamous tattoos.
The brain wrenching rage eat away his heart as Sukuna smashed and crashed the many objects around the library, the terrified servants who were cleaning the dusty shelves scurried off without hesitation.
They knew he was having one of his episodes again, something or someone must have triggered a traumatic experience in his past life. His servants felt pity for the god, he was banished and trapped for eternity by his father, one of the gods of creations and a friend to Willow who helped conduct this entire place.
He ripped and torn every last thing in this room, the immaculate library was no more when he was done. They shook violently at his yells of melancholy, the worlds for the gods and human quaked at the strong vibrations.
Until.
"Sukuna..."
He froze on his knees. The crunched papers in his hands were released, they swept the ground as they floated to the bottom. Ryomen could taste the fear in Y/N, his back was facing her as she stepped steadily closer, she trembled and shook at the fear rushing in and out of her heart and through her veins.
Her breath tickled the back of his neck once she got much more closer to him. It was silent, the servants gathered and hid mesmerising with the goddess's risky approach.
"It's okay..." She reassured him and herself too, her arms loosely wrapped around his neck as his head hung low in despair. Y/N shuffled closer, tighten her delicate hold and rested her head on his back. Y/N whispered gently. "I'm not aware of what's going on, but I see that you are hurting... But let me help you-"
Sukuna never experienced intimacy like this before. He didn't know whether to like it or hate or despite it or stop or- He didn't know. He was clueless.
"No."
"...what?"
The king looked up at the front window displaying the mountains of the underworld, before standing up and looking down at his partner.
Sukuna held Y/N close and had her face in his hands. He whispered, "Y/N, you need to run away, deep and far in the woods." He whistled over three servants, one of them being Rhysand.
"Why, if there's any fighting I'm strong enough to-"
"Rhysand, take Y/N to the woods," Sukuna ordered.
"Yes of course Sukuna sir!"
Y/N argued as she being dragged out the door. "Sukuna I can fight, you know I can."
"Good! Save that energy when they come for you then."
