Chapter 6
AUTHOR'S NOTES:
Good morning everyone and welcome to chapter six of Alpha and Omega. I don't have much to say today, just two short things.
First, I know that this story is seeming to drag a little right now, and you really want Ash and Serena to get to Torrent and start their journey. I understand, I've just had way too much time to think about this, and it's just taking a long time to get moving. Don't worry they will be leaving Kanto soon, I'm already writing Ash's first gym battle and after Serena's first performance things will get moving.
Second, if you like my work please vote, leave comments, and please share this story with your friends. With that said, I now present to you Chapter 6, enjoy.
Ash, Serena, and Brock finished their pizza and then Ash called his mom, he explained that he and Serena were going out on a date and wouldn't be back till late. Delia of course was fine with this and stated how she was proud of Ash for seeing the importance of taking Serena out on a proper date. She then reminded him to be a gentleman, to which Brock then added that he would teach Ash a few pointers.
After speaking with Delia it was now time to call Grace. Serena stared at her cell phone nervously with her moms contact information pulled up. Serena's confidence from before had diminished slightly, as fear that her mother wouldn't approve of her having a boyfriend started to fill her head.
It wasn't that Grace didn't want Serena to be happy or to find her dream guy, no Grace's issue was a bit more of her own issue. Unlike with Delia, Graces husband didn't die, he cheated on her and left both her and Serena to be with the other woman when Serena was very young. This lead Grace to wanting to protect Serena from that very fate, by vowing to herself to make sure that any guy Serena would ever date earned her trust first. This had its positives and negatives for Serena, as it kept the boys that wanted to date her away so fate could reunite Serena and Ash again in Kalos, but as a negative it made it hard for her to have actual friends of the opposite gender. Serena was thankful that her mother was fine with her traveling with Ash and Clemont through Kalos, although she never figured out why. All she could do now was just hope that she was fine with Ash now being her boyfriend.
Serena then felt Ash take her free hand and hold it. Serena looks at him and see a comforting look in his eyes, reminding her that she is not alone. Serena then takes a deep breath and presses the call button, then waits as the phone rings for her mother to pick up.
"Hello," Grace says when she picks up the phone.
"Hi mom," Serena replies.
"Hello Serena, I'm so happy to hear from you. How are you? Did you get your travel arrangements for the Torrent region yet?" Grace asked enthusiastically.
"I'm good, and yes I did. The flight leaves in three days at eight in the morning," Serena replied.
"And will you be alone on this trip?" Grace asked expectantly.
"Umm, no," Serena replied Nervously.
"Hello Mrs. Yvonne," Ash said cheerfully as he moved his face into view.
"Hello Ash, nice to see you again," Grace replied.
"Umm, mom. We have something to tell you," Serena said slightly nervous.
"Oh? What is it?" Grace asked.
Serena then took a deep breath and put a smile on her face.
"Ash and I are dating now. He became my boyfriend last night and tonight we're going out on our first date," said Serena.
Grace smiled.
"That's wonderful news I'm so happy for you," Grace replied.
"You are?" Serena replied shocked.
"Well of course. Why wouldn't I be?" Grace replied.
"Well you were always so protective of me when it came to boys. Except when you met Clemont and Ash in Kalos," Serena explained.
"That was because those two were fairly easy to size up. Clemont was unconfident and seemed more concerned with taking care of Bonnie. While Ash on the other hand seemed too focused on Pokémon to try anything. Although I did notice some passion in his voice when he stood up for you, very similar to the passion I heard in your voice when you spoke about Ash. But despite that he didn't even react to it or try and hide it like you did, which told me he didn't notice it or understand it, making him not a problem," Grace explained.
"But now your ok that we're dating?" Serena asked.
"Well he did save Kalos so that helps. But also you grew up so much when you left with him, and the way you spoke about him made it clear you cared deeply for him," Grace explained then sighed. "You grew up into a strong young woman so fast, and I attribute that to him. I tried so hard to protect you and make you strong so you didn't have to go through what I did, but it was thanks to Ash you started to really become strong. And then when you returned from traveling on your own through Hoenn, you stopped being my little girl, you grew up into a strong beautiful young woman. I know that you don't need me to be so protective of you anymore. You can make your own decisions, and I know being with Ash would make you happy, so how can I not be happy for you?" Grace said as some tears started to form in her eyes.
"Mom, don't you cry now or else you'll make me cry," Serena said.
Grace wiped the tears from her eyes and looked directly at Ash.
"Now Ash, you better treat my daughter the way she deserves to be treated. Don't you dare break her heart, or else Ryhorn and I will have to have a little talk with you," Grace threatened.
"Don't worry Ms. Yvonne, I love Serena with all my heart. I'll never do anything to hurt her," Ash replied slightly nervous from Grace's words.
Grace smiled back.
"I know you will Ash. I know I didn't have to threaten you to make sure you'd do that. It's just the parent in me wanting to protect my little girl, but that's your responsibility now. And I know you'll do anything and everything to keep her safe," said Grace.
"Well I need to get going you two. Take care and let me know when you two land safely in Torrent. Bye," Grace said.
"Bye mom." "Bye Ms. Yvonne." They both said, and the screen went blank.
Ash and Serena both leaned back in their seats as they breathed a sigh of relief that the call was over. Serena then looked back at Ash and smiled.
"See, I told you everything was going to be ok," Ash commented.
"I have to admit, that did go better than I expected," Serena replied.
The two then got close and shared a soft kiss on the lips. They then noticed Brock still sitting at a table a couple feet away, he decided to sit somewhere else as they made the call to give them some privacy. Ash waved Brock over, signaling it was done.
"So I take it the call was a success?" Brock asked as he returned.
"Yes she's fine with Serena and I dating," Ash replied.
"Congratulations. Your lucky you were able to do this over the phone. Lucy made me meet her parents in person, talk about nerve wrecking," said Brock as shuttered at the end.
"Alright then, we better get moving," Serena stated as she stood up, eager to start shopping. "Brock, are you sure you want to help?"
"Of course. Like I said, Ash is almost like a brother to me. I want to do whatever I can to help him out, and since dating is completely new to him, I'm sure he could use some advice," Brock said confidently.
"Ok then. Ash I'll see you later, send me a text when your done," Serena said and gave Ash a kiss.
"Will do, and don't feel rushed if your still shopping by the time we're done," Ash replied.
They then separated, Brock and Ash went one way, Serena another.
————————————————————————
Ash and Brock were searching through the men's section of a clothing store for something that Ash could wear. Ash had thought that shopping with another guy would make this easier and less painful, but it wasn't. Brock didn't mind shopping at all, he wasn't like some people who had to have the latest fashions, but he understood the importance of looking good and dressing for the situation.
Ash groaned as he flipped through a rack of polo shirts in the search for something he liked, as Brock instructed. Ash thought he could end the torture before it even began by grabbing the first shirt he saw in his size, but that failed as Brock said it looked too casual for the restaurant. Then as Ash wasn't paying Brock any attention three shirts dropped onto his head.
"Here, go try these on and make sure they fit good, and let me see so I can make sure it actually looks good on you. Also try these on," Brock said as he dropped a stack of dark wash blue jeans on top.
"The shirts I get, but why so many pants? I already told you my size," Ash asked.
"They are all meant to fit differently. Don't you want to make sure you look your best for Serena," Brock replied with a smirk
Ash blushed, and walked into a dressing room. Ash tried on all the clothes, feeling like the life was being sucked out of him with every article he had to try on. As instructed Ash showed Brock every look, except with the skinny jeans, Ash firmly refused to wear then as he said it felt difficult to move. Brock was impressed he got Ash to cooperate with the rest so he didn't try and fight it. In the end Ash was left with a short sleeve white button down shirt with black vertical pinstripes, a pair a dark wash blue jeans, that were more fitted then regular jeans, but not as tight as skinny jeans, and a pair of black shoes.
"Alright now that that's done, it's time to teach you a few things," Brock and told Ash as they walked out of the store.
Ash sighed, accepting that this was for the best, and thankful that atleast the shopping was over. They started walking through the mall as Brock was talking table manners, when Ash noticed something and just walked off. Brock noticed Ash was gone quickly, and saw him walking into a jewelry store, and went after him.
"Ash what are you doing?" Brock asked as he arrived.
Ash was looking inside one of the display cases at several pieces of jewelry.
"I want to get Serena something, girls do tend to like jewelry right?" Ash asked, not taking his eyes away from the items.
"Yes, and I like where your going with this, but I think you might be starting a little high. Getting Serena a little something is a nice idea that I approve of, but maybe not jewelry. How about a nice bouquet of flowers?" Brock suggested.
"Yeah but you heard Serena, we're leaving in a few days, she won't exactly have time to enjoy them," Ash replied.
"I understand what you mean, but I just think jewelry is a bit much for a first date. I feel like your setting the standards high pretty early," Brock explained.
"Maybe, maybe not," Ash said as he waved to an associate getting their attention.
"Hello sir, do you see something you like?" Asked the associate as she arrived.
"I think so, can I get a closer look at that," Ash said pointing to an item in the case.
The associate pulled out the item and Ash examined it. He then smiled and put it down as he started to look for something in his pocket. Meanwhile Brock decided to look at the piece of jewelry, and he decided to approve as it looked nice, and wasn't overly expensive.
"I'll be purchasing this," Ash said to the associate as he had finished pulling out the strip of photo and compared them to the item.
He then looked to Brock, "I have a plan, but I'm going to need your help."
————————————————————————
Elsewhere Serena had just picked out a dress and was heading to a shoe store. She was walking with a smile on her face, excited that tonight she and Ash were going out on their first date.
As she walked she noticed a store she's familiar with, Valerie's Secret. This was a lingerie store owned by her favorite fashion designer Valerie from the Kalos region, who she had modeled for during her journey through Kalos with Ash.
Serena was familiar with this store as she had purchased bras and panties from there before because it was a comfortable and quality product. Normally she would purchase cute looking bras and panties from here and never got anything from the side of the store that had the sexier items, but now she was in a relationship with Ash, who might see her in just her bra and panties. This thought made Serena blush madly. She now found herself wondering what kind of undergarments he would like to see her in. Serena then saw a sign saying they were having a sale, so she decided to just take a look and had no intention of buying anything.
She went to a table of bras that were on sale, on the side with the sexier items. She found a few bras with lace on them that were more revealing than she was used to, then decided she should try on some panties that matched. She was about to get some regular plain colored one, but then she noticed a different type that seemed to be made of mostly lace, cheeky. The name made it clear how they were supposed to fit.
"Well, I'm already trying sexy bras, might as well try these too," Serena thought to herself
Serena grabbed a few pairs that's color matched the bras and started to walk to the dressing room to try them on. As Serena walked she saw a rack that also had a sign stating the products were on sale, and became curious as to what exactly it was. Serena arrived and saw the items were the type that didn't generally stay on for very long after it was seen on the wearer. Serena was about to walk away when she accidentally knocked a black babydoll nighty onto the floor. She picked it up and was going to put it back, but noticed it was her size, and didn't look too outrageous.
"Oh why not. I'm just trying these on for fun, it's not like I'm going to buy any of this stuff," Serena thought to herself as she took it with her to the dressing room.
Serena stripped down and tried on each of the bras and panties on. The bras were very low plung and revealing, and the cheeky panties lived up to their name. Despite being out of her comfort zone Serena had to admit, she felt sexy, very sexy, and she liked that feeling. Then came the nighty, it was black and almost completely see through except for a small area at her breasts with some lace detailing, it also included a black g-string. Serena then made a seductive pose in the mirror. She could tell why guys tended to like seeing girls in lingerie like this, as she looked incredibly sexy. Then she blushed the brightest red her body could blush, as she then imagined how Ash would react seeing her dressed like this.
Serena changed back into her regular clothes and proceeded to the checkout counter with all of the items. Upon completing her purchase she put the bag of lingerie in the same bag as her dress. Brock was clearly older and more mature, and his mind would probably go places she didn't want to be the cause of if he saw the bag, although she wouldn't mind if Ash's mind went to those places.
Serena's phone then chimed signaling she got at text message. She looked and saw it was from Ash, 'just finished. We're making our way to the mall entrance by Outdoor World,' the message said. Despite Ash saying she didn't have to rush Serena quickly proceeded to find a shoe store.
————————————————————————
A little over an hour later Serena was casually walking back to the entrance Ash said he would be at. As Serena arrived she saw Ash and Brock sitting on a bench talking.
"Hey guys," Serena said cheerfully as she approached them.
"Hey Serena," Ash replied back with a bright smile.
Serena couldn't help but blush at the sight of her once crush, now boyfriend smiling at her, and smiled back at him with a dreamy happiness. They then left the mall and proceeded to Brock's car, a green Honda Civic, and drove to his apartment, with Brock acting like their chauffeur.
They arrived at the two bedroom apartment, it was very clean, without a speck of dust or clutter anywhere. One might think that it was never lived in, and used as a showroom for the apartment complex. But Ash wasn't surprised by this, as he knew how Brock was and that this would be just as he expected. As it was getting to be time for Ash and Serena to get ready for their date, they parted to get changed, with Ash going into Brock's room while Serena took the bathroom. It wasn't that Ash wanted or needed more space, it was just Serena didn't feel comfortable changing in the room of a guy she just met. The other bedroom wasn't an option either as it was where the Pokémon slept, and some were using the room at the time.
Ash was ready first and sat down on the couch to wait for Serena. About ten minutes later the bathroom door started to opened, Ash stood up, and by the time the door was completely open and Serena was in full view, Ash's eyes were wide and his jaw practically dropped to the floor.
"So how do I look? Do you like it?" Serena asked Ash nervously.
Ash didn't respond, he was frozen. Brock understood and elbowed him in the ribs to knock him out of it.
"Ow! Sorry Serena, you just look, amazing," Ash said as he blushed and rubbed his ribs.
Serena blushed. She was wearing a black sleeveless two strap dress that ended a little longer than mid thigh, and a pair of short black heals that made her look a little taller. Ash looked over her entire body, he couldn't explain it, but for some reason he felt compelled to touch her legs, but fought the urge.
"Thank you, you look really handsome yourself," Serena complemented back, causing Ash to blush.
"Oh, um, I ah, I got you something," Ash said nervously as he pulled out a long black box.
"Ash, you didn't need to get me anything. This date is enough for me," Serena said sincerely.
"I know, but I wanted to," Ash replied as he handed her the box.
Serena gasped as she opened the box to find a white gold necklace with a heat shaped locket. The locket was already open, and had a picture of them in it from earlier that day from the photo booth.
"Ash it's beautiful, thank you," Serena said, almost to the point of tears.
Ash smiled and put the necklace around Serena's neck. Once on, Serena turned around and gave Ash a deep loving kiss on the lips.
They put their things in the bags and off to the side. They left out some Pokémon food, as Brock volunteered to feed their Pokémon for them. They then released their Pokémon, except for Fearow, and explained this to them. Ash then explained Fearow to Brock, who felt nervous, but ok because he had his Pokémon there too.
Because the restaurant was close, Ash and Serena then walked. Upon arriving they saw a lot of people waiting outside, as even with reservations, it took some time to get a table because of how popular it was already. Ash and Serena walked up to the hostess to announce themselves.
"Hello, I've got a reservation for two under the name Ash Ketchum," Ash stated.
"Oh yes the raffle winner," the hostess said as she crossed his name off a list. She then picked up two menus, "right this way," the hostess said as she lead them.
"We don't have to wait?" Ash asked surprised.
"No, it was planned to have a specific table ready for you when you arrived," said the hostess.
Quickly they arrived at a table with a bouquet of red roses in the center surrounded by tea light candles.
"It's so romantic. Thank you for winning this Ash," Serena said as she kissed his cheek.
Ash then impressed Serena again as he went to her seat and pulled it out for her, then pushed it in as she sat back down. As Ash made his way to his seat he saw the hostess smile and give an approving nod to his behavior. Ash understood, and knew he was going to have to thank Brock for the tips later.
The evening was amazing with romantic music playing. Ash and Serena talked about everything they could, but Serena loved hearing about Ash's past journeys, and wished she could have been there. Ash could tell this and made a suggestion, that after Torrent that they would go to every region and make their own memories. Serena loved the idea of seeing the world with Ash and couldn't wait.
Dinner was extravagant as they chose a special seven corse option, that gave them an appetizer, desert, and five unique pasta dishes in between, with one of the most exotic being a pasta that was made black from inkay ink. The waiter offered to pair the dishes with wine, however they told him they were only eighteen, three years younger than the drinking age, twenty-one.
Afterwards Serena felt stuffed, while Ash only felt satisfied. Ash left Serena amazed by how much he seemed to have matured since Kalos. Especially with his table manners, as he actually took his time to eat, instead of eating like he hadn't eaten in a week like she was used to seeing from him in Kalos.
They walked back to Brock's apartment and gathered their Pokémon and things as they waited for the taxi Ash called. Brock informed Ash that his Chancey had to use sing after Fearow was done eating since he tried to attack him. Ash sighed and apologized to Brock for this. The Taxi arrived and took them back to Ash's home. It was late and the house was dark. Once inside they quietly moved and placed their bags on the floor.
"Ash thank you so much for tonight," Serena said as she put her arms around Ash's neck.
"Your welcome, I'm happy you enjoyed it," Ash replied as he put his arms on Serena's sides.
Slowly they inched closer and closer, there faces got closer and closer, until finally their lips touched. The kisses started slow and loving, but soon things began to heat up and turn into passionate making out. As they did this they sat down on the couch. Soon though Ash felt Serena's tongue plunge into his mouth, resulting in his breaking away.
"Ash is something wrong?" Serena asked concerned.
"You stuck your tongue into my mouth," Ash replied confused.
"I'm sorry, I guess I got a little carried away. That was called Kalos kissing. I guess you didn't like it," Serena said sadly, thinking she moved things along too fast for him.
"It just surprised me, I don't know if I like it. Let's try this again and find out," Ash said as he pulled Serena back into making out. This time much to Serena's excitement, Ash initiated the Kalos kissing. Their tongues dancing together in their mouths. Serena then started to push Ash down to his back as she climbed on top of him as the kissing deepened and their relationship rose to a new level.
