Chapter 85
AUTHORS NOTES:
Ok so a few weeks ago I said to expect an update in March and look, it's March 31st, so I didn't lie. Starting with today I will be presenting you with rewrites of the end of chapter 85, and a complete rewrite of chapter 86. Hopefully with this I'll at least feel a sense of urgency and continue writing chapters, I expected to have a lot more chapters completed by now.
With that said, sing the praises of my return and enjoy todays chapters.
The three aura guardians, William, Riley, and Delia, along with their Pokémon, looked on in amazement from around the corner of a building as they saw the Team Rocket weapons being ripped away and bent, all by the will of Serena.
"Alright, that's our cue. Let's clear our way to that cannon. Who knows how much longer Ash will be able to hold out against Arceus," William stated, then mega evolved his Dragonite, with Riley following suit with his Lucario. They were about to take off running, but were stopped by Delia's Lucario.
"Wait! Master, are you not going to mega evolve me?" Delia's Lucario asked as he showed his mega stone in his wrist.
"Lucey," Delia looked away with a saddened expression. "We've been apart for so long. I don't think our bond is strong enough anymore."
"Am I still your Pokémon? Have we not faced certain death together? Challenged legendary Pokémon and lived to tell the tale? Our bond is unwavering and unbreakable. I know this will work," Lucey said without overwhelming confidence.
"Ok," Delia replied, her eyes misting from Lucey's faith in their bond. Delia then steeled herself as her eyes locked on Lucey's. "Let's do this." Delia pulled out a necklace locket from around her neck, and pushed a button on top. The locket then opened into three sections. The section on the left had a picture of Delia with Red hugging her from behind, the section on the right held a picture of Delia holding Ash as a baby, and in the middle was a key stone. Delia placed her hand over the key stone, causing it to shine with a golden light. "Mega Evolve!" Delia called out as bands of mega energy left the key stone and connected with the mega stone, engulfing Lucario in a bright light as he mega evolved. In a matter of seconds the light subsided, and Mega Lucario stood tall and proud.
"You see master, our bond is unbreakable," Lucey stated proudly.
Just then a loud crunching noise was heard, and everyone looked to see the armored vehicles becoming flattened.
"Now that's a cue," Delia stated. "And that's my future daughter-in-law doing that by the way," Delia added with a smirk before she and Lucey took off running at the Team Rocket horde. Riley and his Lucario took off running right behind them, as William mounted his Dragonite and took to the air and followed.
Due to the chaos caused by Serena and her Pokémon, the Team Rocket soldiers didn't even see them until Delia and Lucey nearly reached the barriers. Despite not having their guns, the soldiers braced themselves as they drew combat knives and electric batons in preparation for Delia's collision with them. However a few feet away from them Delia and and Lucey took an aura infused jump into the air, clearing the initial troops. As they made their dissent they both glowed blue, and they touched down. They sent a pulse of aura in every direction, throwing the immediate troops back and off their feet before Delia and Lucey charged forward and began fighting their way through them. Meanwhile, as the troops at the barricade where Delia jumped in were focused on her, they failed to see Riley and William, along with their Pokémon.
Riley and Lucario collided with the soldiers, Riley with his batons and Lucario with his bone clubs, and began plowing through the unsuspecting soldiers with single hits. As Riley began his assault, William and Dragonite began theirs. Dragonite began their assault by using Dragon Rush, and crashing in the middle of a large gathering of soldiers between Riley and Delia. From there William used his aura staff to keep the soldiers at a distance while Dragonite used Wing Attack Aqua Tail, and a variety of other attacks to fight back against the human opponents.
The first soldiers were the easiest, as they weren't even looking. A single strike to the head was all it took to knock them out as their helmets were either cracked or knocked off them by the force. However after the first couple soldiers their momentum began to slow as they started to put up more of a fight.
The Giovanni copies, despite lacking free will, were surprisingly quite formidable, as Giovanni ensured they had his combat knowledge when they were created. He had only given them limited intelligence to ensure his control and that they wouldn't turn on him, however their lack of free will and overall lack of intelligence was also their greatest weakness. Without intelligence, they couldn't learn from what they saw, and were unable to adapt to the changing strategy of the combined aura guardian and Pokémon attacks. Because there were multiple battles happening at once, several of the soldiers couldn't decide which one to attack, and ultimately just stood their ground to defend their position, and ultimately stayed out of the fighting.
Meanwhile a little ways away and with a flash of light, a Charizard X lands violently within the Team Rocket soldiers. As he begins to knock the weak humans away, Red leaps off his back. Armed only with a sharp scrap of metal he found and wrapping a cloth around part of it to act as a handle, Red charges into the Team Rocket soldiers. Wildly Red begins slashing at the soldiers, the rage he felt towards the criminal organization he was forced to hold on to while a prisoner finally being released. However they were wearing body armor, so all of Red's strikes were hitting the armor and doing nothing to the soldiers. One of the soldiers then punched Red in the stomach, causing him to gasp for air as the wind was knocked out of him. Red stumbled back as this essentially reset his mind, and he started thinking instead of relying on blind rage.
"Mr. Red!" Alain called out as his Charizard came in for a landing behind him.
The two soldiers standing before Red looked away from him and to Alain. Seeing his opening, Red lunged at the first soldier, thrusting his makeshift knife into the soldier's throat, right under his chin. Blood sprayed out at Red as his focus shifted to the other soldier. Red abandoned his weapons in the first soldier's throat, and grabbed the combat knife from his belt as he moved to the second soldier. Red ducked beneath the electric baton from the second soldier, and parried a strike with a combat knife with his own. Red moved heavily to his right as he picked his left leg up and kicked powerfully at the inside of the soldiers right knee. The knee jutted outward as Red broke it, and Red threw him to the ground. Red jumped on top of him, and with both hands forced the blade down and through the soldier's goggles and into his skull through his eye socket.
Red twisted the blade to ensure he was dead before removing. He looked down at the fallen Giovanni copy. Even though he knew it wasn't the real Giovanni, he did feel a degree of satisfaction from his kill. He just sat there breathing heavily as the world around him became silent. Slightly to his left he noticed a blue glow. He looked and saw his Charizard sending out a stream of blue fire into the Team Rocket forces. A wall of shields had been formed by the Team Rocket grunts to protect themselves from the flames, as several soldiers tried to charge through the flames to attack Charizard, only to be burned to a crisp before they got close enough, or cut down by Charizard's razor sharp claws.
As Red took in the sight he noticed another Charizard and several other Pokémon were fighting alongside his Charizard. An Electivire was shooting bolts of electricity, as a Mega Garchomp was attacking with a combination of physical attacks. A Mega Sceptile was sending soldiers flying with Leaf Storm while a Salamance used Flamethrower, and a Metagross used Rock Slide to cover their sides so they weren't flanked.
"Red?" Brendan asked in concern.
Red then remembered there were other trainers there and stood up as he removed the blade from the soldier's head. He then picked up the soldier's electric baton and knife from the ground, as well as the electric baton from the first soldier, and walked to Alain, Brendan, and Paul.
"You three aren't trained for a fight like this, so fight as a team, and overpower a single soldier with your numbers," Red said as he handed an electric baton to Alain and Brendan, and a knife to Paul. "I'm not going to tell you to kill them, but know that they will kill you if they get the chance. So if you get them down, make sure they don't get back up anytime soon."
With that said Red turned around and walked back up to his Charizard on the front line, the three of them following several steps behind. Alain and Brendan both doubted they would kill anyone with the batons, but Paul was left looking at the knife, wondering if he could actually kill someone.
Between Red and Delia, Serena landed with her psychic powers, and released Pancham, Drakeon, Amaura, and Sylveon to fight alongside her. Delphox and Gardevoir were too tired from helping to destroy all the guns and vehicles held by Team Rocket, so they were resting in their Pokéballs.
Swablu was originally Serena's sixth Pokémon, but Serena traded her for Pancham while Ash made his trade, seeing as they were going into a battle. Swablu wasn't a particularly difficult Pokémon to train, but was unfocused and had seemed to just want to play when she was out of her Pokéball. Swablu had gotten some training, but due to her lack of focus Serena never felt confident using her in a performance. Serena had hoped that now that things were calmed down with her performances that she could spend some more time with her so that she could take part in the Kalos Master class later that year.
Serena had felt bad that she didn't use Amaura in her performances very much, so she had swapped her out that morning before the attack to spend some more time with her. Amaura was scared to be in battles now, but stood strong as she saw Pancham and Sylveon fighting strong to protect Serena from the Team Rocket Pokémon.
Serena landed close to a group of Team Rocket grunts, so they were more focused on sending out their Pokémon to battle and giving commands rather than attacking her directly.
"Sylveon Swift, Pancham Dark Pulse, Amaura Icy Wind, Drakeon Dragon Pulse!" Serena called out to her Pokémon. The attacks flew and knocked out the opposing Pokémon. Serena could have defeated the Pokémon herself, but it didn't feel right to her for a human to defeat Pokémon. Serena's eyes then glowed red as she used her psychic powers to make three grunts pass out.
Serena's pokemon then continued forward as she did, launching attacks at both humans and Pokémon alike. After defeating another group of soldiers Serena stumbled a bit, as he felt a familiar feeling. To confirm this feeling Serena tried to use her psychic powers to lift a grunt off the ground, but nothing happened. Realizing that one of the devices used to block psychic and aura guardian powers was the cause. Frantically, Serena started to look around for the device. She could see Delia and Riley were still using their powers so she knew it had to be close to her.
"Hey Serena," an all too familiar voice called out in an eerily excited tone.
Chills ran down Serena's spine as she heard that voice. Slowly Serena turned to face the voice to see Tierno walking towards her. As he walked Serena noticed a glowing blue band around his arm at his right bicep, no doubt the reason Serena's psychic powers weren't working. Thankfully her Pokémon quickly moved in between them in an attack posture. Tierno smirked as he stopped and reached for his Pokéballs.
"So cute that they want to protect you," Tierno mocked as he released his Pokémon. Raichu, Hitmontop, Politoed, Ludicolo, and Blastoise emerged from their pokeballs, ready to battle their outnumbered opponents. "Just return your Pokémon and surrender. Not only are you outnumbered, but outclassed."
"Outclassed?" Serena scoffed as she worked to bury her fear, as he pokemon tensed in preparation to strike.
"That's right. I'm a career trainer, while you're a performer. While I might not be able to put on a show as beautiful as yours, you can't match our power. And don't get any ideas of anyone coming to your rescue. With all these soldiers and grunts here, there's no way anyone could even get to you. And as for Ash, he's up against Arceus, so he'll be dead soon enough," Tierno replied with a smug smirk and an overconfident tone to match.
"I wouldn't underestimate Ash if I were you. He'll survive Arceus and come back to me," Serena replied full of confidence. "As for you, we'll see if you're still around to be a problem when he gets back."
"What, you think you're going to stop me? Ha. I've gotten a lot stronger since last time, even Ash would have trouble against me," Tierno scoffed as he raised his left arm in front of him, revealing his key stone. "Let me show you. BLASTOISE, MEGA EVOLVE!" Chains of light left Tierno's key stone and connected with the Blastoisite, causing Blastoise to glow. When the light dissipated, Mega Blastoise stood in its place, with a single massive cannon on its back, and two smaller ones in its arms coming out from two new shells. "Blastoise, Hydro Pump," Tierno called out.
Blastoise aimed his three water cannons at Serena's Pokémon and released a powerful blast of water. Without being told the four Pokémon dodged the powerful attack, which Serena even had to dodge and only avoided by mere inches. The attack continued on and collided with several Team Rocket soldiers, pushing them back and up against a building, holding them there until the attack ended.
"Not bad. I was really hoping to end this quick, but it looks like we get to play a little more," Tierno commented with an amused tone as Serena and her Pokémon took in the reality of that show of strength. Amaura was the only one in real danger of being knocked out by the powerful water attack, but the others would have still been able to fight.
"Sylveon, use Moonblast!" Said Serena as she swung her arm out.
Sylveon jumped up with her feelers out and arched in and a pink sphere of energy formed in front of her. Then as if throwing the sphere, her feelers moved out and straightened as the sphere shot towards Blastoise. The attack connected with an explosion and small dust cloud, but it wasn't completely hidden from sight. The large cannon on its back was far too large to be hidden, and seen out the top of the cloud, almost perfectly in the same position as it was before the attack. The cloud cleared quickly to reveal the large Pokémon still looking strong and ready to continue.
"You'll have to do better than that," Tierno taunted.
Serena bit her lip in frustration. She knew mega Blastoise wouldn't be an easy opponent, but moonblast was the strongest attack Sylveon knew and barely made a scratch. On top of that, her pokemon were outnumbered with Sylveon being her strongest. She focused on the armband restricting her power, if not for that she could have just put Tierno and his pokemon to sleep. But this wasn't the time to worry about what ifs, that wasn't going to help her now, she need to focus on what she can do.
"Can I beat him like this?" She asked herself. She wasn't doubting herself, just weighing her options. She run, but he would no doubt chase her, and leave her right back in this same situation. She thought about running for help, but shook her head as she pushed these ideas out. She had to face him, she couldn't be a burden to the others who were no doubt also struggling just against the shear larger numbers of team rocket.
"Sylveon, you're with me to take on Blastoise and Raichu. Everyone, choose your enemy!" Said Serena as she swung her arm out towards Tierno and his Pokemon. She had an idea, perhaps even a crazy idea, No, and Ash like idea.
Raichu walked towards Blastoise and was ready to fight. Drakeon went towards Lucario, while Amaura went for Ludicolo and Politoed, and Pancham went for Hitmontop.
"Blastoise, use Skull Bash. Raichu, use Thunderbolt!" Tierno called out as he put his right arm out towards Serena.
Blastoise became surrounded by a silver aura before rocketing itself towards Sylveon, at a speed much faster than one would expect. Raichus body sparked with electricity before it sent a bolt of electricity towards Sylveon. She managed to dodge the thunderbolt, but Blastoise hit Sylveon hard.
Meanwhile, Drakeon hit Ludicolo with dragon rush, causing Lucario to go flying. She then finished him off by using Thunderbolt, a move she had just learned the day before, on both, knocking them both out at the same time. She was breathing heavily, the battle was not anywhere close to easy for her, but she managed. After catching her breath for a second, she then stuck her tongue out at him and ran back to Serena and her mother. She didn't have much strength left, but she had to try and help.
Meanwhile, Amaura was using Ice Beam to try and take out Politoed. Politoed used hydro pump to successfully counter, cutting through the ice type move sending Amaura flying back, rolling on the ground multiple times before coming to a stop.
"Just stay down, I don't like beating on the weak," Said Politoed with disdain for this battle.
"No! I'm not weak!" Amaura replied as she pushed herself back up with a determined look in her eyes.
She got up slowly and started roaring as she glowed a bright blue. Everyone saw this and was shocked. Amaura got a lot bigger and more majestic. After a few seconds, Amaura finished evolving into an Aurorus.
Politoed shivered, not out of fear, but from the sudden drop in the temperature the prehistoric I've type was causing. She then howled creating several auroras above her, before using ice beam again. Just like before Politoed tried to counter with hydro pump, however this time things were different. Amaura was using the crystals along her body to drop the air temperature to sub zero levels, also bringing down Politoed's temperature and his waters. The ice beam collided with the hydro pump, but instead of fighting back against the beam, due to its lower temperature it's impact against the ice beam was less, the stream of water quickly began freezing.
The two attacks continued for several seconds before Politoed canceled his attack. However it didn't matter, the stream of water may have been cut off soon enough to prevent him from being frozen with it, but the ice beam was still going, and with enough force to push the frozen water back at him. The long hunk of ice collided with Politoed's head and shattered. He was knocked to the ground and partially buried under ice. He looked up to see Amaura looming over him, staring down with a threatening gaze. She then raised herself onto her hind legs, before bringing her front one down. The force of a weight of over four hundred pounds came down upon the her opponent, knocking him out.
"Just stay down, I don't like beating on the weak," she taunted before turning around and heading towards Serena.
——————————————————————
"Drakeon your back!" Serena exclaimed. Drakeon turned around and gave a happy look, but at the same time couldn't hide how tired she was.
"So your Drakeon managed to beat my Ludicolo, no big deal, it must've taken a lot of damage. Everyone, do...!" Tierno said before stopping, as the ground was shaking in a repeating pattern.
Serena felt it too and they both looked around until they saw Amaura towering as each step shook the ground as she walked. Serena smiled without realizing at the sight of the beautiful and majestic ice type.
"Raichu! Disch..." Tierno started before being forced to stop again, as something just hit Raichu and sent him flying back past him.
It only took a second to see it, a beaten on Pangoro with a hitmontop in his right hand. Obviously Pancham had evolved during his battle with Hitmontop, and received a serious beating in the process. However it appeared Hitmontop's was worse. The handstand Pokémon was unconscious and being dragged along by his left leg as if he were a caveman's club, a broken club as his left leg was bent unnaturally.
Pangoro looked at Tierno and growled before tossing the broken pokemon at his feet and walked back to Serena, leaving Tierno standing in shock.
"Pangoro are you alright?!" Serena exclaimed as she ran up to him.
She first noticed he was walking with a limp, and one of his eyes was staying closed. There were patches of fur missing and blood in others. He had been through hell, but came back victorious. The others looked as well, he clearly had the hardest time, and it was amazing that he was still standing.
"You did amazing Pangoro," Serena said as she pulled out his pokeball. Pangoro saw this and shook his head, he didn't want to rest until the battles were complete. "You've done enough, if you push more you'll only be in even worse shape. I don't want to see you this badly hurt, so I don't want you to push anymore. You are definitely my toughest pokemon."
He looked to the others, they beaten up pretty bad too, but not as bad as him.
"Just get some rest, we'll finish things here," Sylveon told him.
With a sigh of resignation Pangoro nodded, and was returned to his pokeball. Serena looked to her remaining pokemon. They had all fought hard battles and their bruised bodies showed it, however Tierno was no better. Despite all his boasting about being a career trainer, despite being at a disadvantage her pokemon had knocked out all but his mega Blastoise.
Tierno returned Raichu and reattached the pokeball. Since Serena's other pokemon had returned it was clear that his other pokemon were knocked out too. He then looked over as Serena returned Pangoro. It was small victory, but one less pokemon made things easier for him. It was clear to him that her other pokemon didn't have much left either, one more attack was all it would take. He then looked at Blastoise, he still had some fight left in him, not much, but more than them. His only chance would be if he could take all the Pokémon out at one, and as he looked back at them he had his answer.
"Blastoise, hydro cannon on Serena!"
Serena and her Pokémon's eyes widened in disbelief. The idea of using a move on a trainer wasn't unheard of, but the fact that it was coming from Tierno after obsessing over Serena like he had been...
Blastoise locked all three of his cannons on Serena and her pokemon quickly took position in front of her. Sylveon was trying to as well, but Amaura pushed her back with her head.
"Someone needs to protect Serena after we're knocked out!" She explained, as three powerful spheres of water fired.
Drakeon tried to feminist at least some of the force with dragon pulse, but it did nothing and the attack connected. Drakeon was knocked into Amaura, who took the hit to her side and was knocked over, both landing unconscious. Sylveon rushed to her daughter, but there was nothing she could do, a Pokémon center was what she needed now. Serena then looked over at Blastoise and Tierno with rage, as Tierno looked in frustration that Sylveon was still standing.
"Sylveon, we can't let their sacrifice be in vain! We need to end this now!" She said, showing her Z-ring.
Sylveon nodded in agreement and took up a position in front of Serena, and the two began their synchronized moves. Tierno scoffed as he was confused as to what they were doing, this was his first encounter with a Z move.
"Now Sylveon! Twinkle Tackle!" Said Serena as she was in her final pose, sending power to Sylveon. Sylveon ran faster and faster as she started glowing pink.
Tierno and Blastoise were taken aback as they now realized this was much more than some dance moves. Sylveon struck Blastoise head on, sending the massive turtle flying back and crashing into an abandoned car a short ways behind them unconscious.
When Sylveon struck Blastoise she also jumped back and landed close to where she started. She looked up at Serena panting heavily and her legs shaking. She may not have been knocked out, but she had given all she had and then some, keeping herself up with just her own will power.
"Thank you Sylveon, now take a rest," Serena replied as she returned her to her pokeball.
Four pokemon were knocked out, and Delphox and Gardevoir were spent from earlier, though they probably still fight if needed.
As she looked back at Tierno her eyes widened in fear as she jumped back, he had personally taken the offensive. He swung down with his electric baton, narrowly missing Serena.
"Just go Tierno! You lost, this is your only chance to escape!" Serena stated, not sure if she herself could actually beat him.
"Like hell! This is also my last chance to get you!" He took out a second baton. "And after I do I'll make you orgasm so much and good that you'll forget all about Ash!"
He lunged forward, both batons sparking. Serena used her agility, gained from years of training as a performer to avoid his attack while also reaching for one of her remaining Pokémon. Unfortunately for her, Tierno was faster and more agile than he looked. He kept pace and managed to shock Serena's left arm, causing her to drop a pokeball. She managed to back away, but now her arm was limp, and he stood between her and the pokeball. Her eyes shifted the the arm band, cursing its existence as she could have easily dealt with him already if she could have used her powers.
He smirked confidently, and continued his attack, refusing to give her a chance to even breathe. She managed to keep ahead of him, but only barely. With one arm immobile her balance was off, meaning she had to focus, one wrong move and she was done for. All she could do was hope that he burned himself out soon.
Sadly that was not the case, and Serena stumbled on some loose debris, and took a baton to her stomach. She collapsed to the ground unconscious.
Tierno stopped and was breathing heavily as he looked at Serena's unconscious body, as his victory sank in. A smirk formed on his face, he had her.
He wasn't exactly loyal to Team Rocket, they were a means to an end for him. He only joined for a chance to get Serena, since he knew Ash would jump head first into battle against them and would get himself killed. He saw an intact building, and then looked down at Serena, then back to the building as he felt a small almost unnoticeable bulge form in his pants. He then grabbed her by her wrists and started dragging her to the building to get what he wanted.
He was almost to the door when fate decided to take another shot at him. Out of nowhere Shauna tackled him, wrapping an arm around his neck as she clawed at his face, causing him to release Serena as he tried to protect himself, and get her off.
"Get away from my best friend you fuck'n bastard!"
He grabbed her by the hair, causing her attack to stop as she tried to free herself.
"Get the fuck off!" He shouted as he threw her.
He didn't even take one step before he was hit in the back with a two by four. He turned around to see Trevor, his body trembling while glaring defiantly as his former friend towered over him. He swung again, but this time Tierno grabbed it with his bare hands, then back handed him across the face.
"You should have listened to your instincts and kept away." Tierno said. A lewd smirk then formed on his face. "But now I've got Shauna too. I wonder what kind of play I can get out of those two together."
Trevor saw red, and lunged forward and punched him in the face. "I WON'T LET YOU TOUCH HER!" He screamed as if all reason had left him.
Then like a rabid Pokémon he attacked with everything he had. His behavior was so out of character that Tierno was completely caught off guard and was on the defensive. As he was just trying to protect himself Shauna jumped back on his back as she tried to put him in a headlock.
Trevor's attack paused briefly at her arrival, it want much, but it was enough for Tierno to turn the tables on them. Reaching behind he grabbed her by the arm, and bit down. She screamed out in pain, but now with her grip loosened he managed to rip her off of him and throw her at Trevor.
"Ughhh," they both groaned as Shuna slowly rolled off of Trevor, both of them in shell shock from their collision.
Once on her back her eyes opened to see a sky full of smoke, right before Tierno entered her view, his face contorted in rage. He dropped to his knees, and grabbed both of them by their throats and began squeezing while putting all his weight into it.
Both of their minds cleared almost immediately as they fought against his grip, while he slowly squeezed the life out of them. They flailed wildly, as they fought against his hold. Shauna clawed at his hand and arm, but because of his uniform both were effectively covered and protected. Trevor beat on his arm while also trying to pry his fingers loose, but to no avail.
While Shauna had lost herself to panic, Trevor was still somewhat thinking clearly. He reached out and felt around on the ground for something, anything that he could attack with. As he did this he found a baseball sized piece of rubble and grabbed it. He wanted to aim for his head, but it was too far to reach. That's when he saw a potentially even better target. With desperation he began swinging as hard as he could at Tierno's arm.
"Hahaha, do you honestly think that'll save you?" He mocked.
Crack
Tierno froze as his eyes widened.
Crack
His head turned to his arm Trevor was hitting, his band was broken.
"You crazy bastard," Tierno said as he was struck with a tinge of fear. "Serena's out cold. All this did is..."
His mouth was open but word's suddenly stopped coming out, as if his vocal cords were frozen. He released both Trevor and Shauna, both of them coughing as they also gasped for air. His body then started to levitate off the ground and he became engulfed in a red energy. As he was turned around he saw what looked like a demon boiling with rage, Serena's eyes were glowing red as her right arm was outstretched.
She didn't say a word, she didn't need to, her eyes and expression spoke volumes. Tierno's heart raced out of control with every step she took to get closer. Once close enough she pulled her right leg back then released, kicking him square in the nut sack. She repeated this three more times, each time with him opening his mouth as if to cry out in pain, but no noise ever came out. Then after the fourth kick, she flicked her wrist, and he went flying back and through the glass storefront of a building, getting himself lodged in a wall near the back of the store.
The red energy faded and she looked to her two friends on the ground breathing heavily and walked over to them.
"Are you both okay?" She asked sympathetically.
Shauna smiled and nodded, as Trevor gave her a thumbs up. They were both in pain still, their throats damaged from Tierno's attempt to kill them. Serena's eyes glowed red again, as did their throats as their pain went away. Once complete the glow subsided and Serena practically collapsed to a seated position above their heads from the echo of using her psychic powers.
"Thanks for saving me, you two."
