(A/n): little side note, I'm actually playing Pokemon Black (kinda blind, cause I only got through the 2nd gym in my old file) along side trying to write my version of the story on here (hence the "Alternate Universe" tag). Btw, I'll probably add more tags after I upload this chapter.

Also, some characters will be OOC for story reasons, sorry!

POV third

You and Hilda make your way to Accumula Town, about to enter the Pokemon center to eat, but just before you two could enter...

???: "Hilda?"

She turns towards the voice, it belonging to one of her childhood friends, Cheren.

Hilda: "Ah, hey there, Cheren! Where are the others?"

Cheren: "They went to Striaton City ahead of us while Professor Juniper went back to her lab." *Notices you* "Oh, hello there, who are you?"

(Y/n): *bows* "Oh, H-Hello there. My name is (Y-Y/n)"

Cheren: "Hello there, (Y/n), my name's Cheren." *Turns to Hilda* "Did something happen?"

Hilda: "Well~"

Before she could answer, weird looking people shout to get everyone's attention.

*Que team Plasma speech*

Weird guy: *insert speech cause author-san is lazy*

After the guy and his group leaves, another weird looking guy stays behind as the group of townsfolk who were listening begin to leave. After they leave, Cheren and Hilda walk away and start to talk amongst themselves as the weird guy walks up to you.

???: "Your Pokemon..."

(Y/n): "... Huh?"

Pikachu: "Pi?..."

???: "... Unlike the others, his not screaming about being trapped..."

(Y/n): "W... What do you mean?..." *You hold Pikachu tight as it continues to stare at the guy*

???: "Do you mind..." *Takes out pokeball*

*(A/n): replace cube with a pokeball*

???: "If I test out your bonds?"

After saying that, he tosses a pokeball out, bringing out a Purrloin.

Purrloin: *makes sound*

???: "Purrloin, use scratch."

(Y/n): "Huh?!"

Purrloin jumps at you and tries to use scratch, but then Pikachu jumps off of you, pushing you away while it also jumped over the attack.

Pikachu: *lands and turns towards the Purrloin* "Pika! Pikachu Pi!"

(Y/n): "W-why are you attacking us?!"

???: "My reason... Don't disappoint me. Purrloin, scratch"

Purrloin attacks again, only for Pikachu to dodge it easily and then counters.

Pikachu: "Piiii!" *Jumps up as it tail glows*

Pikachu: "Ka!" *The attack hits, knocking out Purrloin*

???: "... I see your Pikachu is strong..." *Returns Purrloin* "However, is it your bonds that gives it strength, or is it another reason?..."

Pikachu stays on guard as you move behind it, fear taking you over as you've never battled before. As he takes out another pokeball, you hear someone call out your name from behind you.

???: "(Y/n)?"

Just as you turn towards the voice, which belonged to Hilda (with Cheren behind her), the guy puts away the pokeball he was about to toss out, turning away from you three.

???: "... It appears we're drawing attention. Next time we meet, I wonder if you'll be able to fight along side your Pikachu next time instead of it fighting for you..."

*Stop the music if it's still playing*

The guy walks away as Cheren and Hilda walk up to you.

Hilda: "(Y/n), you ok?"

(Y/n): *shaking alittle* "Y-yeah..."

Cheren: "Who was that guy?"

(Y/n): "I-i don't know. He just showed up out of nowhere, talking about bonds and being trapped or something like that, and then he tried to attack me... If not for Pikachu, it would have hit me..."

Hilda: "Wait." *Turns to Cheren* "I thought trainers never attack each other directly?"

Cheren: "they don't, even if the person is holding a Pokemon..."

Hilda: "... Ok, for now, let's head for the Pokemon center, and then see if there's a place we can rest at. I'll try contacting Bianca and Hilbert, think you can get in contact with Professor Juniper?"

Cheren: "Sure..."

The three of you make your way to the Pokemon center as the screen fades to black...

I figured I'd add Hilbert into the story along with Hilda, making the childhood friend group to be four people (Bianca, Cheren, Hilbert, and Hilda). Also, I may add a love rival into this story, but for who the love rival will be against... I'm keeping that hidden for now. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and Cya!
