Oneshot #16 (Edgyshipping)
A/N: Look, I wanted to do this ship and apparently that's the name. Stop attacking me. (Also obviously I'm using the murder squad but I think because I'm updating, it's easy to assume I at the very least took inspiration from @Sylveon12, if not straight up stealing a concept (I promise I didn't do that this time))
"I h-hate this.." Gladion grumbled, pulling his coat tighter around his shoulders. "W-why are w-we h-here again?"
"Missions can't always take us to sunny beaches and fancy hotels, Gladi." Hilda smiled, handing her bag to the blond. "Would a goldfish cracker help?"
He rummaged through the bag quickly, a hint of a smile appearing on his face as he extracted the packet. "A-always. B-but I'm s-still c-cold." Silver chuckled drily and shook his head, drawing a glare from Gladion. "W-we c-can't all b-be immune t-to the w-weather, P-pineapples."
"It was one time- you know what, I don't care. It's not even that cold, and you're shivering." Silver held out his hand for a goldfish, to which Gladion spun away, guarding the bag of crackers like they were the entirety of the remaining food on the planet.
"I have to side with Gladi on this one, Pineapples," Hilda reached into her bag for another packet of crackers for Silver as Gladion smirked at him. "While he is a weak little shit when it comes to the weather," to which Gladion scowled and tried to curl into himself, scoffing down the crackers, "it is literally called Snowpoint City."
"I-I'm not w-weak," Gladion mumbled through a mouthful of crackers, before spotting their hotel and breaking into a sprint.
"Sure you're not," Silver called after him, chuckling slightly.
Hilda glared at Silver. "C'mon, stop giving him such a hard time. He's from Alola, he's not used to snow."
"..But it's funny," Silver complained, as they followed Gladion into the hotel to the sight of him kneeling in front of the fireplace in the lobby, hugging himself tightly. "Case in point," Silver smirked.
Sighing, Hilda walked to the front desk. "Twin room and single room, please," she said, turning to the boys. "You two are sharing, because it's cheaper, and we don't want a repeat of the 'supposed cheating' fiasco." Before either one of them could complain, Hilda raised a hand for silence. "I'll give you each a pack of goldfish crackers if you can put up with each other for the night."
"Two?" Gladion countered from across the room.
"While you're not in a position to negotiate," Silver smirked, "he's right, it has to be two. And we want one each now."
Sighing, Hilda threw Silver two packs of crackers, glaring daggers at him until he passed one to Gladion, who snatched them quickly before returning to his hiding place inside his coat. "Better?"
Subdued, the boys nodded, eating their crackers silently.

"This is your room," Hilda pointed, "and this is mine," she walked toward the adjacent room. "I have to call N, because he needs to make sure I'm not, ya know," she gestured to Silver and made a disgusted face, "so yeah, see you at nine for a film?"
"Obviously." As she closed the door, Silver suddenly noticed, and called through the door, "and what was that face for?"
Gladion appeared at the top of the stairs with his bags, prompting a laugh from Silver. "How are you taking so long?"
"Sh-shut up, Pineapples.."
"Any warmer?"
"A- a little.."
Silver shook his head and opened their door, dumping his bags and immediately walking to the window and opening it, to Gladion's hisses. "What are you, a reverse vampire?" Closing the window and flopping onto the nearest bed, Silver sighed.
Gladion put his bags by the bed and began to unpack, still shaking. Only after he had dropped his toothpaste, pyjamas and conditioner, did Silver sigh and stand up. "Let me help.. You're in no condition to do stuff."
"You'll- you'll only g-get it wrong.."
Silver sighed. "Get under the duvet and tell me what you want me to do with stuff." He was trying his best to sound irritated, but his voice was softer than usual. Gladion sighed and went under the duvet, still in his coat and boots, and immediately cocooned himself in the duvet.
"Th-thanks.." Gladion smiled weakly, causing Silver to give a soft smile back.
"Anytime, blondie." Silver walked back across the room and grabbed his own duvet, before draping it across Gladion and smiling. "So, where do you want all this crap?"
Gladion sighed. "J-just put th-the clothes over here," he gestured to one side of the bed, "a-and leave th-the rest i-in th-the bag.."
Silver complied, before turning to Gladion. "That okay?"
"Y-yeah.. Th-thanks.." Gladion sighed. "What f-film have you g-got f-for later?"
Silver smirked slightly, sitting on the bed beside Gladion. "Frozen," he said, a small giggle escaping his lips, causing Gladion to stare in amazement.
"...D-did you j-just g-giggle?"
"...Tell Hilda and I end you."
"...I-it was k-kinda cute, P-pineapples."
"I swear to Arceus- call me cute again and I'll get Hilda to stop bringing you goldfish crackers."
Gladion smirked and lowered his voice to a whisper. "B-but then you'd have t-to t-tell her w-why, c-cutie.."
Silver growled softly. "What if I beat the shit out of you?"
"I'd l-like t-to see you t-try.." Gladion grabbed Silver's collar and spun him around, flipping him onto his back on the other side of the bed. The redhead retaliated by smacking Gladion in the face with a pillow, causing the younger boy to yelp and cover his face. Silver tried to press his advantage, pinning Gladion down with one hand and attacking with the pillow in the other, but after a few good hits, Gladion grabbed the pillow and pulled. Silver's refusal to let go of his weapon meant that he was pulled downward, stopping with his face inches from the blond's, leaving him blushing.
Gladion bit his lip and smirked, unwilling to give in despite the blood rising to his face. "Of all th-the p-people on th-this mission, I never th-thought it'd b-be us in th-this situation.."
Silver scowled, before collapsing onto Gladion, resting his full body weight on the blond, who screeched. "Shut up, Goldilocks.."
Gladion wrapped his arms around the redhead and turned onto his side, making the two face each other with neither of them taking the other's body weight. "Sh-she's pretty, and sh-she got f-free porridge. I'm not c-complaining." Before Silver could protest, Gladion had already snuggled into him, nestling into his neck, forcing Silver to give in and pull the boy closer.
"Only until you're warmer, okay?" Silver sighed, resting his chin on top of Gladion's head. "And Hilda never finds out."
Gladion, however, was already almost asleep, mumbling a quick "Th-thanks.." followed by "Warm.." Silver sighed again, before tucking the pillow under Gladion's head and pulling the second duvet, that had fallen off the bed during the commotion, over them both. Before he knew it, they'd both fallen asleep.

A few hours later, when Hilda came in for the film, the two were still asleep in each other's arms. Hilda took a series of photos, sending one to Lyra with the caption 'It's not me you should be worried about', as well as posting a series of them on her Instagram. As a result, all future missions had an entire bag dedicated to goldfish crackers for the two boys - a compromise reached when she fought them both off after they woke up and saw the photos.
